Canopy By Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk

We loved everything. The location is directly on the Riverwalk with a restaurant and bar that is open to the River. On the weekends I think the bar is open until 1 am, and on the week days I think it’s open until midnight. The entire hotel is just beautiful. It’s decorated in modern/bohemian type decor. The room had an Espresso machine, concrete floor, beautifully tiled shower (no tub), and we were on the 13th floor so the view was pretty good (there was some construction going on, so our view was a bit obstructed by that, but that’s not the hotel’s fault). The staff was friendly, and even watched our bags for us after we had checked out so we could walk on the riverwalk one last time before our flight. Overall, we would stay here again, and plan on it the next time we visit San Antonio.

The room was small-ish, but it was beautiful, and very clean.

Loved everything about the room! The bed and bedding were so comfortable. The shower was fabulous, and the extra touches such as large amounts of toiletries, robes & complimentary loofah sponge were wonderful. The air-conditioning worked great, and the cold concrete floors felt so good on my hot, tired feet!

I was so disappointed to learn that the hotel does not have a pool, especially in this heat. I also could not determine if the facility offers room service. I searched everywhere and sent a text with no response. Lastly, while the valet attendants are amazing, the set-up is not. Cars are basically in traffic rather than a dedicated area off the street.

The staff were excellent and courteous! I was offered a flute of bubbly on arrival. The front desk manager checked in with me for three days to know how my stay was going (the best thing ever). Brunch was delicious. Because of how hot the weather was the day I had brunch (July 2nd - 98⁰F), a waitstaff gave me a complimentary cup of water to take with me so I stay hydrated. The beds were so cozy and clean. I slept for ten hours the day I arrived. The hotel smelled really nice as well. The hotel was along the Riverwalk and in proximity of great restaurants and bars. I will definitely stay again. Great hotel.

Loved the Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk! The hotel is centrally located to most all of the attractions/locations we wanted to visit (Pinkerton's Barbeque, La Panaderia Bakery Cafe, The Alamo, Go RiO San Antonio River Cruize, The Torch of Friendship, LaVillita Historic Arts Village, Tower of Americas, Alas De Mexico (Wings of Mexico), Rosario's Mexican Cafe Y Cantina, Kallison Love Lock Walk Bridge, San Fernando Cathedral, Plaza De Las Islas Canaries Saga Light Show, Historic Market Square, San Antonio Farmers Market, Mi Tierra Cafe y Panaderia, and the Menger Bar). The Pearl and The Modernist Speakeasy is only a short Uber/Lift away. The registration staff was very accommodating. Our room was nice - however we didn't have the river walk view we thought we were getting. Our bartenders at the 3rd Floor Bar and First Floor Bar/Restaurant were friendly and helpful. Checkout was simple and easy. If we return to San Antonio, we would definitely consider staying here again.

The 3rd Floor Bar opens at 4:00PM; would have been nice to have a cocktail a little earlier in the afternoon.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Canopy hotel. Rooms were well appointed and beds were very comfortable. Loved the cement floors & closet/luggage space. Location was perfect! Right on the riverwalk, near many restaurants & attractions. Hotel bar was beautiful especially at night.

The view from our room was a construction site with a crane of workers going up & down - not completely ideal. Although the outdoor restaurant was nice, the pigeons all around the tables/ seats were disgusting. Wifi instructions would've been helpful. There were tiny green lights blinking in our room throughout the night.

I was surprised by how nice the room itself was. I stayed alone but if you had people with you there are sliding doors you can section the space with for privacy. The staff was very helpful and you need a room key to access the elevators which makes me feel safer!

I would’ve liked room service to be available but there is a restaurant at the River Walk level below the hotel. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had! It wasn’t as cold in the room as I would’ve liked. The road construction is a pain but that’s not the hotels fault.

I like the central location of the Hotel on the River walk. The reception and the concierge services was excellent. The welcome you get at the reception was an experience and the insight they give you of attractions around is helpful. Jonathon at the reception was warm and friendly. He helped us with his recommendation and was always there when needed for any guidance.

The weather was a spoiler so we couldn't enjoy the 3rd floor bar. Therefore, the traffic at the Domingo Restaurant was high, so there was a lot of waiting at the times. But the food served and service was excellent. David and Hector the servers there make you feel comfortable with their prompt services. Despite of being a Holiday - they were always on toes. Thank you guys to make us feel so special.

This was our first time in San Antonio and won’t be our last. What a beautiful property this is - and right on the river. Staff was friendly and check in and check out were a breeze. The Esquire Tavern is a very short walk and worth it! I only wish we had more time to spend here in general.

The bar was closing early but it was a Monday so no big deal. We had a small issue with our toilet but they came quickly to fix it and allowed us to check out late because of it. Valet took a bit longer than we’d hoped.

Check in was easy and front desk staff and valet was friendly and they make you feel welcome. Room, view and location to the Riverwalk and Market Square is great! The Restaurant greeters could be friendlier and more helpful. They don't seem to care if you get seated or not. Staff working the Riverwalk entrance was more helpful and gave your a time to come back. Oir room had a great view and was big and clean. The housekeeping doesn't come daily, even when we requested, they just dropped off towels. Best part of the hotel is location, easy walking to all attractions in beautiful downtown San Antonio! We had a blast!

If your staying more than a few days at least take out the trash,change towels and replace coffee. Train restaurant greets in customer service, especially a guest of the hotel. If they have plenty of empty tables or bar seats don't make people wait to be seated for a hour. Other restaurants on the Riverwalk offer better service and faster seating. Front desk staff and valets are great!

Domingos, front desk, bar, room, location, staff, rose upon arrival, and decor were excellent.

1. There was no pool or spa facilities 2. when the room was cleaned on Sunday, the sheets were not changed because the same stain remained on a newly made bed also the sink was dirty when we arrived back toothpaste still in basin. We tipped well and was left not really cleaned. Was charged 30 dollars a night to upgrade to a river view (we are Hilton members) but there really was no view and didn't want to bother to move rooms. Not worth it..seemed that they could have put us in that room with no charge. Pretty disappointed in that.
