Clean rooms. The cleaning people would call or knock to ask us if you want the room to be clean and what time. A lot of hotels don't have this option. You had to be out the room when they were cleaning and if you miss them, then you miss them. This gave us time to relax and not feel rushed. Also near everything, Walmart, target and few other places. P.S Love the Pool, very clean and not cold or over chlorine.

I wasn't able to get connecting rooms. So I had to walk back and forward outside from one room to the next. When booking with booked.com, call them to make sure you get connecting rooms days in advance.

great location! not far from things to do but far enough to keep it quiet. the staff were so friendly, the rooms were spacious, & the maids were very kind! they even set up my daughters stuffed animals after they cleaned our room. the lady who does breakfast (torey?) is so very friendly. she greeted everyone, made sure everything was fresh, clean, & presentable, & she even went around to people sitting to see if they needed anything! my first morning there it was just me & my 2 & 1/2 year old at breakfast. i didn’t realize there was booster seats & she not only went & got me one, but she sanitized it for me too! & i didn’t even ask her to! total surprise.

there was only one elevator by the front desk, which isn’t horrible but our room was at the way other end of the hotel on the 3rd floor so it was a long walk with a toddler lol but that’s it, not even really a complaint

The location was perfect to see DC and Mt. Vernon. Only 5 mins from Mt Vernon and about 30 minutes to drive into downtown DC. The rooms were clean and the king with sofa room offers plenty of space. The staff preparing and serving the breakfast was awesome, super friendly and on top of things. Waffle bar, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels and muffins. The location felt safe with gas stations and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay again.

One of the exit doors in the pool room doesn’t shut properly. The lock bar sticks when pushed to open and people unknowingly leave the door unlocked when they exit through the door.

The location of the hotel is nice. There are some good restaurants around. You can just walk down to the city center also. It takes 10mins from the center. My room was confortable and clean. They serve regular breakfast and it was ok.

The sound insulation was not so good. You can easily hear the people who stay next door. It is not good at all. There was also a door that opens to the next door. It made me a bit anxious as if someone else will come into my room suddenly.

Tavin, at the Front Desk, literally blew my mind (in a good way) with how professional, friendly and helpful he was. I'm a seasoned Senior-level IT Project Manager and work with many teams, a wide range of stakeholders and Tavin is leadership-material and a definite asset to your organization. He went the extra mile to extend my stay and listened to me attentively and was pleasant and demonstrated a level of proficiency that was noteworthy. After my morning conversation I thought to myself, "From here on out I will always stay at the Hampton Inn" and tell all my friends as well. He should be promoted (and I do not know him, just met him) and your organization should pay for him to get a Business Management degree and also put him in charge of training all of your organization's hospitality staff. He is amazing

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size, comfy bed and nice size bathroom. Our stay was for 2 nights. When we returned after a day of sightseeing, the bed was made and the bathroom was cleaned. I didn't expect that. The free breakfast was scrabbled eggs, sausage & potatoes. You could make your own waffle. They had cereal, muffins & fresh fruit. A free US Today newspaper. And in the evenings, they had fresh baked cookies. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

The number of available parks. The rear parking had good lighting. The area seemed safe. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty pillows. The TV was large and had plenty of channel's. The bathroom was decent size. The AC worked very well.

The overall hotel showed that it was dated. The bathroom had poor ventilation. The sink was leaking underneath. The mobile phone network performance was terrible in the hotel. The carpet in the rooms had a light odor... Should consider vinyl plank flooring since it doesn't hold odor like carpet. The wash cloths were low quality. The location was terrible... Weird surroundings and limited on restaurants and shopping.

We stayed in four different hotels (Homewood Suites, Holiday Inn and Express and Courtyard by Marriott) during four trips to Alexandria this year. Hampton Inn in Fort Belvoir came out as the best place we stayed in so far. Most reasonably priced of all the hotels and no covid excuses here. The two rooms we booked were reasonably sized clean - cleaned daily! Extra towels, toilet rolls and lotion provided immediately upon request. The corridors and elevators are clean unlike the other hotels we stayed in.The breakfast was simple and good enough for me and my family. The Staff were very helpful. My husband used the Business Center which was quiet and helpful for his work. I would like to compliment the manager for running this hotel really well. Thank you! After being in other hotels, I really value and appreciate how well this hotel is run. One of the best I have stayed in the DC area over the years.

We requested connecting rooms. With our kids with us for four days, we would have preferred to have connecting rooms but were given rooms next to each other. The a/c is too loud, made a roaring noise like an airplane taking off which woke up my husband and me at 4 am in the morning for a couple of days and we couldn't sleep after that.

It was very clean It was efficient Rooms were very comfortable and clean

Nothing to do with the hotel but a guest did allow his kids to watch tv during breakfast on their device and it was loud and not appropriate for children - offensive to adults as well- I would have appreciated the staff asking those guest to turn off , lower the volume , or give their kids head phones

Typical Motel Breakfast; no bagels which is appearing to be the norm, Area was clean and maintained. Very flimsy plates difficult to cut a waffle. Room was clean, quiet at night to sleep, front desk staff was cordial. Not fantastic but no complaints either. Not many good restaurants nearby. Close to Mount Vernon and the Army Museum. Received fresh towels and room was cleaned after one night.

Evening desk clerk was not the friendliest, the gentleman in the morning and the brekafast lady made up for it.
