Hampton Inn Gainesville-Haymarket

I was very pleasantly surprised by this facility, which appeared to be recently remodeled. Rooms were immaculate, beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast was fresh with a variety of hot and cold options, and staff members were professional and pleasant. This was a Hilton disguised as a Hampton Inn.

The only downside of our stay was being awakened by a passing train, which occurred late at night and in the very early morning hours. I would have appreciated the front desk preparing us for the noise.

We chose this hotel since it was close to the concert venue we were attending. We were pleasantly surprised that it was also located in a lovely shopping and restaurant area! The staff at the hotel was super friendly! The hotel was clean and comfortable. We loved that checkout was at noon and not earlier. Choices of coffee in our room or in the lobby made it easy to grab a cup before we headed home. Loved our overnight!

I was hoping to grab some breakfast before we left but it ended at 10. I know that seems late, but we slept in after a late-night concert.

Loved the cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. Excellent location with many restaurants and stores in walking distance...literally across the parking to Pot Belly, Paisasano's Italian restaurant, Japanese restaurant. Starbuck's , Ice Cream shop, Target, etc.

I had difficulty getting into my room. The room keys were not working and I finally got new keys that worked after the 4th attempt. I spent 45 minutes trying to get into my room after check in. The staff was very cordial and helpful. There were other guests experiencing the same problem,

The property is located in the middle of a shopping center making shopping and special dining convenient. The front desk staff are professionals who focus on making a customer comfortable and relaxed by anticipating things that they may need like coffee access 24x7. The facilities are clean and the rooms are reasonably quiet even with periodic trains passing by behind the building. The free breakfast was excellent. From simple cereal to mire complex omelets and sausage, freshly baked biscuits and delicious coffee... I try to stay at this location every time I do business or leisure in Northern VA and DC..

The noise generated by passing trains but that is beyond the facilities control. It is not really a negative to me.

Breakfast was ok...best part was the coffee which was excellent and the fact it was served til 9:00 instead of others that stop and 8:30!!!!! Be sure to recognize Lori D'onofrio for taking care of a major reservation problem with the Marriot in the same shopping center. She really went to bat for us and saved us a ton of money and aggravation. We will Never stay anywhere else when we come back and will tell all our friends to stay there as well!!!! Thank you, Lori...you are the best!

not a thing...

Had an indoor pool, gym, and walking distance to everything I needed.

I wish the coffee/tea bar was open 24/7. I’ve stayed in hotels where this was a thing and it was great for night time beverages when Starbucks and Dunkin are closed. Also, there were not enough selections of breakfast food and not enough vegetarian options for breakfast. I went out to get breakfast because of this.

Very good location, lots of restaurants and some stores right outside the doors! Very nice lobby and the breakfast was not normal because of covid. The whole hotel was very clean, one of the reasons I stay with this chain of hotels...

The room was very outdated and the bathroom was a hot mess! The shower itself had broken tiles inside, the shower doors barely opened n shut, the toilet handle fell off the first 24hrs , the threshold to the bathroom door was all frayed and the tacks to the carpet were exposed and we both cut our feet on that! They fixed the floor the day after we complained , that was a plus. I don't think we should b charged for the pool when it wasn't open and actually the # 1 reason we stayed there was for the pool. It wasn't closed because of covid, it was closed because they couldn't get parts to fix whatever was broke! You should take $ of each person's stay when amenities aren't open/working. Very disappointed, I may look for a different hotel chain after this stay. 😕

The room was clean. Lots of towels, soap, lotion, body wash. Very prompt response for extras. Excellent breakfast included.Staff was OUTSTANDING.

The train whistle that sounded late at night (I know the hotel has no control over this but it woke me both nights).

We loved our check in attendant, Cam. Super clean room, very comfortable bed, large bathroom and shower. We were in the area for a concert and it's location is quite convenient for the local Jiffy Lube Live facility.

Very clean! The hotel was very quiet except for the noise my 2 young children made. pool was wonderful! just the right temperature.

Refrigerator froze my water bottles solid. I had them on the door at the bottom. Don't know how it malfunctioned but no worries we had more water.
