Best Western Center Inn

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. For a King size room, it had a nice sitting chair with an ottoman, microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee pot. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice. I also liked the breakfast. In the lobby the staff showed us the daily list of the main food items, so you'll know what to expect. Aside from the main food items, they had: a waffle maker, bagels, bread, pastry, fruits, yogurts, boiled eggs, cold cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and various juices. It was all set up very nice and very appealing. It was close to a lot of eateries.

Nothing disappointed us.

Breakfast was very good, especially the crisp, thin bacon!!!! The dining area was quite crowded, and we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table to open (at 9:00 a.m.). The food area was a bit cramped. The staff was outstanding.

On checkout, I notified the front desk that the bathtub drain was slow (when I turned off the shower I was still standing in an inch or two of standing water), and the shower curtain had some mold on the bottom. The staff member wrote everything down and apologized, indicating she was taking immediate action to remedy those two things. In addition, there was a grimy ring around the top of waterline in the pool. I noticed that the pool was vacuumed every day, towels and chairs arranged, but clearly it had been a long time since the waterline had been cleaned.

The desk staff was really warm and professional. The breakfast was great, but the waffle batter tasted off. Immediately the desk staff told the manager ( i believe) on duty, who was sulky, glared at me, without tasting it, or addressing it herself, and changed it, then stormed off. That tainted an otherwise fabulous experience. The guests at the next table noticed and commented on her nasty demeanor. Great job on cleanliness and friendliness of everyone but the rude white lady in the office. Room was immaculate, parking lot well lit. Breakfast was the freshest, biggest spread I've seen in 10 hotel stays this year.

The staff here is TOP NOTCH!! We were in town for a softball tournament and left our hotel we had originally booked- due to many issues there. The staff here let us check in early and look at our rooms prior to checking in to make sure we’d be happy! The room was clean and comfy. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff here. The breakfast was great! The woman who prepares breakfast was also super sweet & really works so hard to make sure everything is taken care of!

The front desk clerk was friendly and proficient in giving information regarding our stay. The breakfast was a standard meal with biscuits and bacon among other options, the kids enjoyed it. There was a pool on site and the rooms were very tidy and smelled fresh—this was very important as we were traveling with children and had read reviews on other “smoke free” hotels in the area that actually smelled like an ash tray. I appreciated the email reply to my request for a smoke free room as well because other hotels had reviews claiming that there was little to no communication between management and customers. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The tv worked and the guests around us were very quiet and respectful and staff was friendly and in good spirits. A nice place to stay!

The tabletops at breakfast had some leftover crumbs and smudge from the previous people; could improve by having staff make more frequent cleaning rotations to give an overall cleaner feel. The coffee didn’t taste fresh so maybe try a different brand or switch it out more often. I realize we came smack dab in middle of tourist season so staff was likely limited and busy :)

La Tiff who checked us in and Cynthia who managed the breakfast room were exceptional representatives of the Best Western Center Inn. Both were personable, efficient, responsive to our needs, and professional. Kudos for such great staff members. The eating area and our rooms were very clean.

There was a TV on in the breakfast area that disrupted an otherwise enjoyable atmosphere. I did not ask about turning it off, but that is awkward to do when there are multiple guests. Perhaps having signage that gives guests a process for requesting it be turned off might be helpful.

I loved that the room was super clean. The water pressure was so nice and hot ! The breakfast lady was so friendly ( the older one with short hair). The food was excellent!! They had so many different choices. It turned out to big way better than I had imagined. I will be staying again when I visit the beach in a few months.

I didn’t like the carbon dioxide alarm continuing to beep. I notified the front desk upon my check in on Friday evening. I was told someone would change the battery for it the next morning, but no one came. I reminded them again at check out of this issue.

It was clean and quiet

The location was fine for the night and last minute reservation, so we don’t really have a dislikes. Although we usually stay on the beach . This place was great we booked last minute because the hotel i booked a month ago screwed up our room and the place was disgusting. We have absolutely no complaints! I’m grateful they could accommodate us .

The staff were very helpful on the phone and in person. Parking was great. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would definately rebook.

Breakfast was the only disappointment. Food offerings were great but two main entrees ran out and staff was slow to replenish. The toaster didn't work well. The tables were dirty and not wiped off after use by other patrons. Not good during COVID. Trash overflowed. Just not what I had hoped for.

It's coziness. And, Although it is a neighbor to some suspicious residence that must stay in the motel adjacent to BW; it was safe quite and comforting!

The Staff's attire/upkeep! Presentation is KEY. And unfortunately they appeared a bit rough to be the Front Desk Body .. Less professional to be the "Greeter" ... The 1st ppl U see. I didn't know if they knew the staff and was just hanging out or what. Although FRIENDLY, which made all the Difference; their attire does help offer a warm sense of security!
