Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach/Norfolk Airport

I love the way I was greeted by the Desk Clerk. He was very friendly and helpful with directions. Even the next afternoon as we didn't need housekeeping, only clean towels, and he sent someone right up. Breakfast was hot and inviting. The room at check-in was very clean. The TV gave us a pleasant suprise with greeting us each morning that used our name, lol.

I didn't like we could hear every door that slammed closed throughout the night. Staff didn't build the hotel or made the doors close so hard. So, I can't hold them accountable for construction. I could also hear the kids in the bathroom next door playing. Again, that falls on construction.

I liked and I am extremely satisfied with the attentiveness, great listening skills and response shown to me as a guest by the Manager, Chet, as well as by his fellow staff/team. The spacious lobby is well lit and has plenty of seating for the amount of guests which were there during my weekend stay. I will recommend the Fairfield Marriott to family as well as friends.

Honestly, I can suggest lowering the price of snacks at the concession station. Otherwise, I cannot think of any other areas to dislike.

The content of breakfast had a wide variety of food.The lobby was spotless. The location of the hotel is great towards the beach. They offer all the amenities I needed. Such as snacks, guest laundry, indoor pool, fitness center, business computer, and hot breakfast. I look forward to staying here again real soon.

One staff member who serves the breakfast every morning, hovered over you too much while trying to serve your own food on plate. I found her very intimidating. In my room I found dust on my head board of bed, The chairs in our room still had crumbs, hair and food. My sink in bathroom had 2 hairs, and the toilet was not clean. I had to ask the house keeper in the hallway for her toilet bowl brush cleaner so I could clean it during my arrival time.

The location was close to shops and restaurants. It's about 25 minutes from the beach depending on traffic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room decor waa very nice, awesome shower. The king room had a sofa bed with a half divider wall which was nice. The room had 2 tvs which was very convenient for our daughter. The gym was nice and they had wipes for sanitizing and earbuds for watching TV on the treadmills.

Upon checking into the room, we found hair in the bathroom sink, shower, and on the blanket for the sofa bed. This is a pet peeve for me as it appears the room was not cleaned properly to find hair all over the place. Also, I suggest moving the smoking areas to locations away from the entrance. Non-smokers don't want to walk through smoke to enter the hotel.

In order to catch an early flight, we thought we’d miss breakfast according to the noted breakfast hours, however, to our delight, breakfast was served earlier (6:00 am). We definitely will stay here again. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

I absolutely loved the cleanliness and price. The room was by far the best in all of Virginia beach. Clean and so inviting with the personal welcome on our television. Made us feel at home and important. Everything in our room was top notch perfect .

The one issue myself as well as a another guest noticed the pool room was warm but pool was very cold. Cold enough we didn't stay and went back to our room. A bonus would be a hot tub .. but would stay again for sure if the price stays as reasonable as it was.

Breakfast was over and cleaned up before we checked out unfortunately. Otherwise Chet was awesome and happily helped us get checked in and made a great dinner referral!

As with most hotels, no smoking means no smoking. That should include weed. People can do what they want but outside. And hotels should crack down on that more. Smoking is smoking and should not be done in the rooms, period.

The bed were very comfortable & the rep who helped me while checking was very nice.

The sheets & pillow had stains. The morning staff (housekeeping & front desk rep) was stalking my cousin while he stepped outside for a smoke break. My cousin they mentioned calling the police. My cousin had to tell them the room number & provide my name.

Great staff! Accommodated my late arrival and offered a late checkout due to my flight out being later in the day. I didn't even have to ask! Lots of breakfast options.

The USB ports by the beds didn't work. I forgot to mention this to the staff!

Very clean! Very comfortable! Great breakfast! I can’t say enough about how accommodating and friendly the staff are at this location. They even provided a driver outside of the offered shuttle service hours to make sure I made my flight on time. Excellent facility!
