Candlewood Suites Virginia Beach Town Center, an IHG Hotel

We loved the fact that there was a kitchenette. They had everything. A full size fridge, dishwasher, plates cups, utensils, cutting knives, toaster, pans, pots and if you needed something they had this sharing wall where you could borrow a crockpot, umbrella, or even a fold out chair if you were going out to an event. Free laundromat on site, thank goodness cause we were there for a whole week. We appreciate that they thought of almost everthing.

The lady at the desk. We booked for 1 king bed which is more expensive but since we have a baby we needed to be able to put up a pack and play for him to sleep in. When we got into our room they gave us 2 full size beds which the location was nice it just was not what we wanted nor what we paid for. When we explained it to the lady she said she could give us a discount or move us to a queen room. It was really messed up cause we booked almost 2 months in advance for this room. We had no choice but to take the queen so that we could have enough space for the pack and play.

I've been staying at multiple hotels back to back. Candlewood was by far the best. Every possible need was anticipated by the staff and facilities. Usually, I end up having to sweep and wipe the floor of my room after checking in. At Candlewood, I did not have to. Even remote controls were packaged after cleaning! There was dishwasher tablet, sponge, utensils, pots & pans, spices, dish washing detergent, every possible need you could think of!!! The staff were amazing! I never felt that I was "bothering" maintenance or housekeeping when I had an inquiry or request (like at the other hotels). The clientele was mostly military so the environment was respected. There was no noise and courtesy was displayed by all guests. How refreshing!!

I didn't know if it was any breakfast, front desk did not share information. But had good time at this gorgeous at candlewood suites hotel I definitely go back there, just a little misunderstood with room bed, but that's okay

disappointed with the booking of the room I booked a single bed room, but when I got to the front desk they put me in one room with 2 bed, I asked them what's this I booked a single bed and you come to me with 2 beds room?

I like that it is close to food and activities. The room was clean, spacious and stocked with all things necessary for an extended stay. The bed was nice and comfy and check in and out was a breeze and front desk was friendly, helpful with a great attitude.

Everything was fine, didn't like breakfast wasn't included, I may have misread when booked...seen a little area around the tub corner wall peeling.

The staff and rooms were great

We stayed for 7 nights and I asked to have my room clean because a paper in the room stated if you stayed 7 nights you get one cleaning. I spoke to head of housekeeping and she said no cleaning unless your there 7 days and we were leaving on our seventh day. Don’t have a sign stating 7 nights then say 7 days. Then I simply asked for someone to just vacuum my room because due to my children crumbs everywhere and of course that didn’t happen. I don’t think I asked for much really

The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We had an issue with the beds and he came up immediately to investigate. We stay on the Memorial day weekend 5/28/21

The beds were horrible. The sleeper sofa mattress was extremely dirty. The comfort in the bedroom suite was stained too. We couldn’t believe how many stains it had and the poor quality. We asked if we could be switched to another room, but they were fully booked. We asked if we could get another mattress and they brought it the next day. So prior to the new mattress. We had to go and spend more money on padding and a comfort set.

They had a kitchenette that was available to you to prepare meals in your room. The front desk staff gave us great suggestions of things to do in the area and places to visit.

The check in person the night before should have given a brief overview of where things were located in the room, for example the utensils etc and house keeping rules at the time of check in. After making a trip to Walmart to purchase cooking pots, to then discover the pots and all utensils were stored in the dish washer. However, minus that, the rooms were good, they were spacious and comfortable and the the staff were helpful and very nice and accommodating. I would stay there again.

I liked the kitchenette with full size refrigerator. The room was a nice size with very large desk. The staff was very nice and accommodating. This hotel is just 15 minutes from the oceanfront and they have a sister hotel beach front where you can park for $8 a day and use thier restrooms! The Keep in mind this is an extended stay, they will not clean your room daily or refresh towels, but if you need anything the front desk will help. My husband liked the fitness center. Also they have free washer and dryers. The AC works great!

I didn't like that the bed was hard, although good if you prefer a hard bed. There was a lot of smells smoke/ incense and strong deodorizer spray. These smells were overwhelming at times. The windows don't open for fresh air. There is a $50 hold on your card that i didn't notice on this site.

Loved it! Room was stocked with everything we needed for the week! Made it very easy with 2 kids! Staff was very nice and helpful when needed! Room was spacious enough for our 3 year old, all of his toys and even a pack & play for our baby girl. Will definetely be back if we vacation in VA Beach again!

The lobby and hallways always smelled great when walking in and out. We had the king suite; it was very spacious for my husband, my 1 year old and myself. Loved that it had a full kitchen and living room area.

The only complaint I would have is the smell of the shower water. It did have a strong chlorine like smell. Almost like pool water.
