Ocean Resort

I loved the location, with the hotel being on the boardwalk we were literally steps off the beach. When we got upstairs to our room we were pleasantly surprised, my 4 year old grand daughter said Gigi it's beautiful😁😂😅!!

I felt like after driving 5 1/2 hours through a couple of storms and finally getting there to No parking because the parking lot was full was a downer. So after unloading the truck with my husband and waiting for a cart to get our luggage upstairs was kind of the pits. But overall, it was a nice stay.

Clean, nice balcony view of the beach, 2 good elevators, comfy beds, nice sheets.

Pool was c-c-c-cold! Local guide said parking was complimentary. It wasn't: They charged $5 a night just to leave the car on the lot. Ice machines on 2 floors either didn't work or were always emptied by other guests.

I liked the location. It was on the boardwalk, oceanview, and it was right across the street from a pizzeria and a souvenir shop. It was adequate for my stay there.

I did not like the fact that I could not park onsite. When I pay for a hotel room, I expect to be able to park onsite. With this hotel, I had to park in their satellite lot, which was behind the souvenir shop across the street from the hotel.

Staff was friendly. Everything was clean. Location and view were great. If you like music, there is a Pavillion right next door with outdoor concerts.

The balcony has no privacy. You could step/climb over to the next room easily, which felt unsafe, and we had smokers next to us, which was gross (not the hotel's fault, but a wall between units might have cut down the smoke). The elevator is slow, but they have 2, which is better than some other hotels. The indoor pool is not heated as advertised but is large, clean, and refreshing, considering how hot it's been.

Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Great location and beautiful beach view. Balcony is not totally private but we were OK with that. Probably something that can be addressed in the future. We enjoyed our stay.

We saw comments about aesthetics. The phone in our room says Days Inn on it and the hallway is painted green and yellow Which explains that. It appears that it is under new ownership and is undergoing renovations while it is open. The lobby has been updated and painted, looks like they are adding a small eating area, no issues with the pool. Had a few issues with the balcony door lock but once we figured out the lock we had no issues. Our room keys suddenly didn’t work one day but went to the desk and had them reset with no further issues. Once this hotel is fully renovated, the rates will likely increase.

The front desk staff was very welcoming and even told me she was looking forward to meeting me because my last name is unique- she was VERY personable!! Rooms were clean and the ocean view was beautiful! Beds were comfy and it was a quiet stay! Weather didn’t cooperate the whole time, but we were able to chill in our room comfortably.

We were disappointed that the pool want open. It was down for maintenance, which we understood. One of the elevators smelled strongly of marijuana on our second day. The lobby and hallways didn’t have that smell. The rest was clean!

In check out time the cleaner was knocking in the door before 11am in very angry mood, we were with a toddler and we were in a hurry but its not easy with a kid at this age...

Christina and Brissa were very good at the front desk, and they were attentive to my needs. On the second day, I went down to the front Desk to report condensation issues with the air conditioner and Brissa was able to assign me to a new room.

I noticed a male staff member standing with his face up against a room door, sniffing for smoke. The hotel does have a no smoking policy, but to see staff leaned up with his nose in between the door was a little extreme and alarming. When he walked to join me at the elevator, I asked if he was a staff member and he said yes. I did noticed him later downstairs mopping the floor, I understand that it is a no smoking property but to see that was a little alarming, I think it would’ve been best if the front desk made a call to inquire if that was a problem that would’ve been more professional.

Don't trust all the reviews. The hotel is dated but well kept. Clean!! No smoke odor as some reviews said - no odor at all. Balcony has great view and 24th St concerts right next door. Rooms are perfect for a couples get away!!!
