The rooms

The stay fee is ridiculous. Already have to pay for the room with a holding deposit that takes a week to get back plus a $25 per night plus tax staying fee. For what when house keeping doesn't even comes untill after you've checked out.

Soundproofing was not great, could hear loud noises from other rooms. Reception is not very intuitively located - difficult to find, minimal signposting. Location is a little far from attractions, even with a rental car, compared to some other resorts/hotels in the area. Didn't get a chance to use any of the resort amenities (activities desk closes at 6pm, pretty early), would have been nice for the resort fee to be optional

The Location was great. It was nice to have a place to go and relax like home. Grand kids loved the pool. The beds was comfortable. Parking was available. Very quiet. Pretty clean. The ladies in the activity area was super friendly. I liked the security of coming and going. Liked they provided beach towels. Master bedroom was nice and big. Loved the bathroom. Grandkids loved the big tub for bubble bathes.

I was sorta upset that they wouldn't let our adult children check in prior to us checking in with out them using their credit card when I called the hotel and explain that my daughter is a hour away and will get there prior to us. We are 4 hours away. My son in law needed wifi to connect to transfer money and they wouldn't give him the wifi cause he wasn't checked in. So that sorta made me mad because this was a gift for the kids. They need to check the washer prior to the next people coming. The washer had build up soap and the dryer vent was full. They need to do some maintenance to the deck. Several nail heads where sticking up. Miniature golf area needs to be repaired badly.

Layout,location,parking

Noise. We were stuck with extremely noisy neighbors late into the night. The trouble are the walls and the doors are extremely thin. These neighbors ignored all pleas from security to be quiet. We got the brunt of it because of the way the AD layout attaches attaches to rooms through one entrance and all of their noise was directed directly towards our door. We could not carry on any conversation watch TV play games anything because of the level of noise.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, location and ease of check-out. The room was spacious and it resembles a nice size apartment. It was more than enough space for my husband and I. We were able to have the rest and relaxation we so needed. We would recommend Greensprings Vacation Resort.

Our dislikes aren’t related to the resort. We found that food selections were not what we expected. We had a difficult time finding appealing and taste satisfying food. We both ended up getting sick from two different establishments. Will add that perhaps the check-out instructions too. We don’t mind cleaning and leaving spaces as we found them. However, we weren’t on vacation to have to take out trash and put away dishes. You’ll be ask to take your trash to the nearest dumpster and load the dishwasher. We were on vacation to getaway from such responsibilities amongst other things.

We were really pleasantly surprised at the rate for such a huge 2 bedroom condo. There are many amenities on the property and we will like to come back for a longer stay.

The location is a bit away from everything, but that isn't a deterent really. It's a quick drive to a grocery store and some shops. Probably a 15 to 20 minute drive to Colonial Williamsburg or the outlet shops. We were on the 3rd floor, very capable of taking the stairs, but keep in mind if you have less mobility as there is no elevator.

Loved that it felt secure with double doors we were three women on bottom floor as requested. Loved the back patio. It was convenient to everything.

Housekeeping messed up letters on which unit to clean and knocked and tried to come in. I answered door and she apologized and left. Next thing we knew security came and was ringing bell again and again by the time I got to door she was about to open it. She then questioned us if we were leaving I told her not till our departing day and she was looked me up and down and was like oh ok uh uh sorry. No call from office explaining I had to call them to get explanation and apology. Scared us when they did that!

The location was nice. The accommodations were nice, very nicely laid out with all standard amenities. Washer/ dryer worked well. The pool area was very nice and the putt putt golf was good. The staff were all very pleasant, especially at check in. I would book here again.

The grounds were nice but the overall cleanliness of the accommodations was lacking. Dishes had food remnants on them, the carpets did not appear to have been vacuumed, the table and countertops also required a wipe down. There were minor maintenance issues in the kitchen with a missing piece of countertop laminate and a cupboard door with a loose door hinge. We were on the third floor and noticed the roof facia was pulled away from the Eve and the entire gutter was missing over to the downspout (I informed them of this at checkout). It would be good to have some sort of small hand held vacuum or mechanical sweeper to maintain the carpets during the stay.

Rooms are clean with convenient bed configurations for families with kids (one of the few 2-bedroom options in Williamsburg with 1 king bed and 2 twin beds). A full kitchen helps us avoid the hassle of extra meals at restaurants with tired kids. Kids love the pool area with both indoor and outdoor pools and spas. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the ability to send requests and receive alerts via text messages is very convenient. We have stayed here twice previously, and maintenance seems to have improved since the HGV acquisition last year.

Williamsburg is very humid in July, but I have yet to find a hotel that has figured out how to do anything about that!

We travel to Williamsburg often and have our favorite places to stay. This trip we were traveling with friends and our normal places were not available. We hadn't stayed here before and were a little leery, but the price and rooms looked similar to what we were used to, so we decided to take a chance...and boy were we happy we did! The pools were amazing with many other opportunities for ping pong, miny golf, and other amenities. Our unit was close to the main clubhouse...which was great...would recommend higher number units...like 18 or 19. Room was nice and comfortable and even the pull out sofa was the memory foam kind...which my youngest loved! Balconies in the unit were nice and large!

We had a third floor room...without an elevator...not terrible, but definitely felt like a workout! :)
