Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Spokane Airport Airway Heights

The room was small, but you get what you pay for, plus I wasn't staying in the room all day. It was comfortable.

I checked in, they were full. I was placed in room 123, right next to the lobby. So needless to say I heard everything to include the phone ringing and "Hello, Days Inn how can I assist you!".... I heard people talking and laughing in the lobby all night, heard pots and pans....no idea what that was, until I went to get breakfast at 6 and realized I was also right across from the kitchen. I called at 4 AM and was asked to be moved, I was staying 2 nights, I had to wait until 3 PM. I was moved and it was much better!

We were stranded in Spokane and unable to check into our 30 day rental due to a mistake by another facility. It was very stressful to be arriving late at night to find out our reservation wouldn’t be honored. The staff member working at the front desk of the Days Inn Airport was incredible - kind and caring. She literally turned our situation around. We were able to feel safe until our other apartment reservation was made available. Thank you!!

The shuttle service back and forth to airport. The ability to turn on a continuous fan was much appreciated since it blocked out noise from other rooms.

When we arrived and tried to arrange shuttle service for the next morning, we were told it wasn't available until 5:30 am which was too late to make our flight. However, when we inquired the next morning, we were able to get taken to the airport by private car, arranged by the Days Inn clerk. The walls were very thin; we could hear other people in rooms adjacent and above us talking and moving around.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit nervous. However, due to some travel delays, I had to call the property twice, to assure that I and my family member arriving from another location could access the room upon our late arrivals. The front desk person was pleasant and helpful and I did not feel like a bother. THe shuttle pickup at the airport was quick and efficient - personable driver and nice, clean van. CHeck in was quick and friendly. The room was clean, beds were extra comfy (better than the Marriott!), lots of towels, hot water, toiletries, and the cooling was quiet, efficient and able to be personalized in-room. There was storage, ironing board, fridge and microwave (better than the Marriott). Great night's sleep and shuttle back to the airport in the morning. The only "off" thing was that we didn't know breakfast hours and arrived 10 min before 9am - they were picking up all the food. It appeared there had been two kinds of cereal, oranges/apples, some breads, a waffle maker and yogurt. There was no coffee left; couldn't tell if there had been juice. There is coffee/tea and makers in the rooms, though. So - there is some breakfast but ask the hours and be on time! Lobby is small, but clean and comfortable. Separate eating area has about 6-8 tables.

Super easy check-in, I was able to ask for a late check-out and there was no hassle whatsoever, nice staff, everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a little kitchenette with a micro, a sink, coffeemaker... Enough power outlets, even next to the bed which I always appreciate. For a 2-star hotel it really didn't lack anything. I felt right at home. :)

The plastic waste at breakfast. I had two pieces of toast, an apple juice and a yoghurt - and there was a small mountain of plastic left on the table that seems so unnecessary: plastic knife, plastic cup, plastic packaging for the butter and spread... My suggestion for a better environment and less plastic waste would be to do like most hotels in Europe and serve the butter and jam in little bowls, regular metal butter knives, glasses, and metal spoons. But this is just a personal reflection. :)

We got a Queen Suite, and surprisingly the room set up looks good for a good price. The little kitchenette has spacious hanging cabinets, the fridge is not too small like other hotels. Everything is clean. Strong water pressure in the shower. Staffs are friendly; we used both Casino shuttle and Airport shuttle and the drivers each time are friendly people. The lobby is clean and well kept.

The work out room has 3 equipment and 2 of them are not working, but that doesn't really bother us during our very short stay.

Breakfast was okay but no sausage or bacon staff was friendly we were given clean towels and extra coffee

Jacuzzi tub was extremely slippery and shower floor was extremely slippery there were stains on the furniture and there was some form of debris on the floor by the bathroom vanity and the bathroom sink did not drain properly. There was noise from the adjacent room

I liked the beds, the size of the room, and the complimentary shuttle.

There were some dried food spots on the head of the bed. I also didn't like that I had to use two sets of stairs to get upstairs, which having Arthritis in my knee wasn't very pleasant. Also, the room was decent size, but for one adult and an under age child, $180 was steep.

the room was cleaned and with covid 19 it was the first time in awhile since i have stayed at a hotel. I have not been very comfortable staying outside of home . The heating worked so well which was a surprize because we had some cold days.

the only thing that needed improvement was the television. The size was smaller than I thought was needed in the room. I do not know if it was the brand of the tv but it would not stay full screen. It was appear and made the screen smaller and it was annoying.

It took a little while to get checked in the booking.com reservation didn't go thru apparently but we booked it again and it worked out ok

I didn't think the front desk wasn't the most professional looking there was some swearing between the employees in a joking manner but it was still in front of guests, however they were very nice and polite to us and the guests in line behind myself.
