Holiday Inn Bellingham, an IHG Hotel

The bed is super comfortable (soft but with structure), room carpet looks and smells clean, and bathroom was immaculately clean. We also appreciated the Dove brand toiletries in the bathroom - definitely nice to see a recognizable name-brand instead of some obscure shampoo & conditioner.

There is NO FREE BREAKFAST. Despite previous comments from other guests, they've removed this feature bc of the new restaurant on the ground floor. Don't show up expecting continental breakfast then be suckered into paying overprice for mediocre food! Plenty of great local joints in the area within 5-10 min. drive.

It was handy to have a restaurant with convenient hours as this location is very isolated other than the airport being right there.

I ordered a Cobb salad that I picked up in the restaurant. The staff was a bit indifferent other than the nice gal that brought the salad out to me. The salad was very bland with no blue cheese crumbles at all which is just wrong. Plus the 'blue cheese' salad dressing was not good. I did appreciate that they included two little containers of the dressing or it would have been just awful.

I like how clean the hotel and rooms where. The desk service was awesome and kind to you. Rooms where spacious and clean. You didn't hear the airport at all which was really cool. I was worried we would be hearing planes but nope not even one. We sat in our window and watched the planes for a wee bit.

They could leave instructions on how to get the fan/a/c working in the rooms our room was ridiculously hot we couldn't get it cooled down. My hubby and I were roasting. We didn't use the pool or sauna cause they have a no pets sign, so I couldn't go in and swim and cool down due to having a service dog.

very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and great location. The restaurant/bar was awful! We tried to get dinner the first night and couldn’t get served and the waitress was extremely rude. The breakfast you have to get from the restaurant and took an hour and a half. The waitress once again was very rude. The next morning we went down there again to see if we could order to take the food back up to our room and the 2 waitress walked by us 5 or more times acting like they didn’t see us and no they were not busy any of the times we were there. Over all the hotel offers free breakfast but it doesn’t because you can’t get it and if you do you better be okay with rude service and have a couple hours to wait.

Location to airport was great

On my booking it said that breakfast was included in the price but at the lobby I was told that I had to pay for breakfast. The flooring panels weren’t long enough to reach the trim. All of the lamp options were interesting. They didn’t match each other, the two on either side of the bed were different styles and one was mounted on the wall and one was a tabletop lamp which is weird. There was a lobby dog who was very sweet but they were not leashed and wasn’t good at going back to the owner when called. I had my dog with me (leashed) who is old and is reactive when other dogs come up to him. That was kind of stressful for us that the other dog didn’t listen when called. If your dog is unleashed you should have vocal control over them otherwise it can be dangerous.

Unfortunately I did not partake in the breakfast, as my flight was very early. I did not see any information in the room that might have explained the breakfast routine. I did see that the Keurig was set up, however, I'm not a black coffee drinker, and do prefer a creamer in my coffee. Since there is a refrigerator in the room, it might be nice to have some creamers that can be in there, or others that don't need refrigeration.

I wasn't looking to find anything I didn't like. The walk to the airport was really very easy, and as I enjoy walking, it was no problem. However, it would be nice, when it rains, to have golf cart of some sort, to bring your guests to the airport doors. Just a nice gesture!

Lobby coffee was excellent, and the restaurant staff were wonderful and personable. Parking was abundant and close to the building. Everything was super clean.

It's hard to share any real negative feedback here, but the volume on the elevators could be turned down. We can hear them from our room. And one of them (second floor, left elevator) has a blown/loose speaker that makes it exceptionally blaring. Also, the one time we tried to use the pool/spa, there were some drunk broskies in there. Not the hotel's fault. Room service would be useful if they actually brought things up to the room, instead of making you come down to get it.

This was a great place to stay that was not too far from my daughter's place near Western WA University. It was a very nice room and was quite roomy.

I thought the restaurant was okay, but the food was a little salty. The chips and queso were good and the mojito was pretty good. I would say though that our waitress was really awesome.

Location was excellent! I was impressed how close it is located to the airport which added convenience for travel purposes. Hotel was laid out well and it was easy to find room. Plenty of room in the closet and bathroom is good size.

The room was a good size and basically clean. However, there could have been a much better job of sweeping between area of the closet and dresser area. The rest of the room was very nice and comfortable.

Breakfast was basic and adequate. Server Susan was very nice. The front desk staff was slovenly and disinterested. I took my grandson for a special overnight for swimming. The pool area was fine. Overheated, but ok.

I nearly cancelled over the price: $380/night for a king room. Gouging at it's finest. I had already promised my 6-year old grandson that we would have a special overnight with swimming and I could not disappoint him. But, I will not be doing that again.
