Tides Inn & Suites

Fabulous location! We had a view from our room and balcony of some of the waterway, the ferries, the marina activities, the waterfowl, and the paper mill. It was ever-changing, with a huge array of watercraft passing by, from dinghies to sightseeing cruise boats to paddle boats, and more. We could also walk everywhere from there, from the Co-op, to downtown, to the Marina, the lagoon park, etc.

Not the fault of the staff, but they definitely seemed overworked. They were skimpy about some things, like coffee cups, but the room had an empty liquor cart with wine glasses atop it, plus an ice bucket, but with no top or tongs. We had to ask for additional small itrms that are usually in place when you arrive. The place seemed as though it were decorated in anticipation of a movie star's arrival. Quite fun, but a bit impractical.

Our cozy room was right on the water and our balcony served for a tranquil spot to enjoy the beautiful view and calming waves. We specifically chose this hotel because of the view and the AC. The hotel's key card system was not working and they were not able to issue keys to guests. However we were grateful for the gentleman in the office who arranged a work- around to provide us great service. We so appreciate the seemingly dwindling number of staff in the service industry who make decisions and find solutions for guests and customers. Problem-solvers and guest SERVICE. We love that! Key card system not working=Bummer and malfunctions happen sometimes But... Customer service=Great. They made it right.

We did not, however, like that the corner of the bed comforter was dirty. We realize they don't get washed between every guest like sheets supposedly are but soiled comforters need to be checked and changed out.

I love the king suites with spa tub. The tubs are large and comfortable for 2. Towels are large and fluffy. Bed was super comfortable. Best nights sleep I’ve had in awhile. Staff was very friendly. Property has good location. 1/2 mile walk to reach all the shops/restaurants. Overall we had a very nice experience

Only a couple things that were meh but did not take away from the relaxing time we had. Floors are vinyl laminate. Super cold since there are no rugs. Bring slippers. Made the suggestion to the property to add a few throw rugs. Coffee provided was Kuerig k-cups. The brand they used was not to our liking or preference. Cream/sugar was prepackaged powder. We just went to the local grocery store and bought our preferred brand/flavor and liquid creamer. They have an in room microwave but it is small so if you bring popcorn get the small personal bags. The regular size bags don’t fit.

Staff was warm, friendly above and beyond the call of duty, and really helpful with local info. Location is ideal: on Water Street, 8-10 minute walk to downtown. So very easy access, an extraordinarily pleasant walk along the harbor, but just far enough out to be quieter / outside the bustle. Rooms are well-appointed, with firm beds and elegant (if smallish) bathrooms. Price is right, especially during a summer where room rates are going crazy (my long-term fave Cannon Beach inn, which used to run ~ $170/night during summer for a lovely 1 BR suite, was $400+ when I checked recently).

My room was not ready at check-in and it appeared housekeeping team had gone home. Staff member worked hard to find a solution, eventually upgrading me to a nicer room versus what I had paid in order to solve the problem.

Be aware this hotel sits right on the water. When I booked, my expectation was I would have an ocean view room. This was not the case. If using a booking service, read the fine print carefully as an ocean view is not guaranteed.

My stay at the Tides was beyond exceptional. The floor to ceiling stunning views made my entire stay. The bed was very cozy and the rest of the furniture was modern and updated. I appreciated the in room amenities like the coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. Felt like a really great value for that view and everything included in the room!

Bathroom shower is a bit small but the bathroom as a whole was very clean and nicely updated so wasn't a big deal for me

Beautiful view from room, saw wildlife from the deck, very quiet and upgraded room. Could see ferry going out. Big windows.

Deck needed repair, paint peeling off. No access to outside water faucet to clean off sand from shoes, clothes. Had to go outside with jug of water to rinse off sand. Parking was tight. Needs extra plug outlets for phone charging.

The view was beautiful bed was comfortable and the jetted tub was awesome!

There was only 1 chair for the table inside the room. So we had to bring the chairs from the balcony inside to eat our meal.and the chairs we not comfortable. There was no breakfast offered for the price we paid. It was very expensive. The hotel manager didn't seem very friendly. NO ROOM SERVICE AT ALL! You need to get Better Tides Inn and Suites for your Prices!!!

We couldn't get there the first night. An accident on the bridge blocked our way. I contacted the hotel and they were very helpful and canceled our first night without issue. The next day (we were here for a festival) we arrived really early and we were able to check in and drop our bags before heading to the event.

Never got the email receipt I was promised. That's all, though. The stay was great!

the view was phenomenal. We’ve visited before and stayed in the more vintage rooms. this was our first time in the more modern facility and it was very nice.

in room lighting felt harsh, cold. window blinds didn’t quite block the morning light. continental breakfast is understandably suspended, but I wish there had been SOME option - individually packaged muffins? a piece of fruit? something mechanical outside was a bit noisy late night / early morning.
