Great House Motel0

The staff at the Great House Motel was really what made our stay. They keep the rooms clean which is so important. Also, the owners and staff were friendly, helpful, and extremely accommodating. We had to cut our trip short and they just took care of it for us. If your are looking for a comfortable and clean room surrounded by friendly staff--this will work for you. Have a comfortable sleep and then get busy with hiking, boating, or sightseeing!

You know if you change too much it won't be the the old-school motel with great value. The room is small--but hey--it's clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and look forward to being treated very well.

Actual bed cover/blanket instead of those ghastly thin blankets that are everywhere now. Place is dated but has everything you could wish for. Bed was comfy and shower fine. The owner was very pleasant. The room had heat, had air con, Fridge Freezer (Midea - surprisingly quiet - normally I have to unplug because of the noise but not with this one), TV and a cute little table and two chairs to actually eat at properly. Very impressed for the price and would definitely stay there again. It was also very quiet which was a surprise.

Parking is tight for a long vehicle. The room is small with many objects so it feels a bit crowded but then I used all such objects and would not have wished for them not to be there!

Very comfortable and clean queen sized bedroom with private entrance and usual ammentities (coffee maker/TV/Wifi). I enjoyed being able to set my own room temperature and appreciated the window coverings that provided privacy while still letting in light. The proprieter and his family were very welcoming and accomodating, even providing maps of local biking trails. They made me feel quite safe as a solo female traveler.

The only thing that could be improved is the shower which took a minute to heat up and had moderate pressure. However I understand a remodel is ongoing and nevertheless hot water was very much appreciated after a rainy day hike.

Spotlessly clean room. We really liked the laminate floors instead of carpet. A much cleaner look and feel. Soft large towels. Clean bedding. Nice to have AC. Loved the small table to eat at when we ordered take out. Really large flat screen TV. We stayed 3 nights.

The bed was a little firm for our comfort. But a lot of people like firm mattresses. Small room but well laid out. Small parking area. Roku TV was difficult to navigate.

The new owner and his family were super friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with the Wi-fi, which was not the owner's fault, however, he did not rest until the problem was fixed and kept us updated as he progress was made to resolve the issue. The room was clean, spacious, and the motel was quiet. The bed was super comfortable. The Great House Motel is in a great location and an easy walk from the motel to quaint downtown Sequim. There is a fantastic restaurant right across the street, The Big Elk Restaurant. I highly recommend this motel. It was a pleasant, safe, and affordable place to stay. My husband and I will return to Great House Motel, for sure!

The only issue we had was resolved in a timely, friendly manner.

Even though it was on the main road it was quiet. The room had AIR CONDITIONING! So Clean and well maintained. Impressed!

The hotel management should invest in black out curtains. They had a security camera and light on the parking lot. We felt our car and the establishment was safe. Unfortunately the light from the secure parking area was very bright. Blackout curtains would be perfect for preventing Daylight security lights on the parking lot to inhibit sleep. Less light coming through the curtains please. Blackout curtains would be helpful.

This place had character. The staff, more than anything, made my stay incredible. They go the extra mile in every way; the room was comfy and adequate and updated. The location was great too. I will definitely be back!

There was really nothing that I did not like; they exceeded my expectations in every way. The parking lot is a bit tight for getting in and out, but that's the older design I suppose.

This is a small, basic, old fashion, older motel which has had pretty good maintenance and a long history of exceptional hospitality by a Korean American couple who very recently retired. The new owners are an Indian (East) family who are determined to carry on the excellent hospitality tradition. We stayed 4 days and were very comfortable. We crossed the highway once or twice a day for excellent meals at a friendly Hispanic American family owned

It met expectations which were not for a luxury experience. The new owners were just moving in, but I think they will be fine

The room was clean as usual, have stayed here before, always neat, tidy and clean. Room bigger than usual and staff always pleasant. Would highly recommend this Motel.

The bed was comfortable, and the wall heater kept the room nice and cozy. Also, there was a smaller heater which (with our own extension cord) we could put just inside the bathroom door to keep that room warm. The folks running the motel were very accommodating. For example, when I'm curling my hair, I like to sit on a small chair -- and they found one!

The staff is aware of how long it takes for the water to warm up initially in the a.m. (And we'd experienced that on previous stays.) But in this room, it was causing a bit of a backup in the drain. Hopefully, they'll get that fixed soon. Also, since I'm very short, the outlet in the bathroom was way too high for me to reach (but my husband was able to plug in the hair dryer for me).
