Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Downtown

Loved the design/decor of the lobby. Room was spacious and clean. Great location for our needs. We walked to the 5th Avenue Theater and back for a show on a Thursday night. Kids loved the pool.

Receptionist didn't activate our keys correctly. We couldn't get into the car parking, so we came back, and she didn't even check our keys, just assumed it was a problem with the parking lot. We get all the way to our room and the keys didn't work. Would have been extremely annoying but luckily I opened the Hilton app and used the digital key. Also, we couldn't figure out the hot tub jets/bubbles.

The hotel in general is very nice ,right downtown close to whatever downtown you want. The room big enough for your needs beds comfortable.Breakfast not included at this pricey establishment.but available at a premium. Nice lobby common area nicely decorated and a bar “nice bar,great drink’s atmosphere “

Well I hate this part of a review but here it is “the cost of staying downtown is what it is and this hotel has it “ In addition to the “reasonable rate”it was rightly priced.is the Seattle costs city tax like 11.5 % ?the tourism tax ? Not sure the amount and the Parking garage is separate from the hotel as far as ownership 50$ +taxes per night !.of its own.prepare your wallet.!!! And at this price point try to include at least a continental breakfast

It was close to the venue and they have the market next door for all your food and such. Staff was kind and helpful at all hours. I got there a bit early and I was still able to check in, I really appreciate that. It saved me a lot of time and headache.

Only downfall of checking in a bit earlier was I got the room by the elevator so not really quiet. Plus, the construction across the street is loud and it's a main city so police or ambulance sirens going off all night. Not getting much sleep is my point, so bring ear plugs. Also, the lights in my room kept going in and out like they were on timers or if I didn't move enough they would go off. Really irritating when trying to iron my shirt and I all of a sudden can't see what I'm doing!

Front desk staff were super friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Later that night we grabbed a bottle of wine from the bar and snacks from the little 24 hour store/pantry. While the breakfast quality is pretty sub-par, the service was great and the hotel rooms were clean and pleasant. Good location downtown that offers a safe parking garage (of course, it is expensive but every hotel downtown is). Overall I’d say average cost for quality.

Breakfast could be better for the price.

When I arrived and informed the staff that when I booked with Booking Dot.com, I informed the attendant at the front desk that Breakfast was included. He said that it didn't show it on my reservation. I didn't bother with it any longer. My boyfriend said no breakfast was excluded.The next morning, I informed the manager who looked onto the matter. Not only did he oppoligies for any mishaps he comped the beverages I had bought that previous day. This is truly customer service.

Clean room. Lobby was very nice. Like the free lemon water in the lobby. Wish there was free tea or hot chocolate also, needed this on the cold, snowy day. Liked the extra deadbolt lock at the entrance door. Liked the small bottles shampoos, etc.. glad not the shampoos, conditioners and lotions attached to the walls. Like small bottles, seems cleaner. Location was good.

Wish had better view. View construction site. Asked for a map and got that. Wish hotel offered more printed coupons, more Seattle information. Didn't offer free breakfast.

I had an allergic reaction, apparently to the detergent used in the bed linens. The first two days I woke up with terribly itchy neck and face, red skin, and swollen eyes. Then I put one of my t-shirts over the pillow and had no further problem. I'm not sure if it was the detergent used or if it was inadequately rinsed. Either way, it was not pleasant.

Parking costs

Location was A+, room was nicely decorated, Plenty of lighting options, comforter was warm and the mattress firm, room thermostat was easily adapted to comfort. Water was nice and hot and did not run out, security requiring room keys to access room floors and garage a plus. Price point was good. Construction across the street did not wake us. Having house keeping on call during stay helps save resources and staff. Overall will likely return in the future.

The body soap had some sort of "dirt" in the box, there was a little bit of pink around the base of the shower door but only around the hinge, no fan in the bathroom to reduce steam. parking was way too expensive. No difference in price for parking through the hotel vs paying the garage directly. Other pillow options besides feather would be nice. The restaurant had crazy limited hours.

Norman helped us try to find somewhere to get a suitcase fixed. The maintenance man whose name we can’t recall was able to get it fixed temporarily, but it really helped us get through our trip. Our stay was precruise and this was so helpful! He refused a tip. Food was excellent in the restaurant. All staff was amazing.

Beds could be softer. Located a little out of the way.
