Staybridge Suites Seattle - South Lake Union, an IHG Hotel

We used the hotel as a mid-holiday recharge/base. Loved the equipped kitchen & large fridge/freezer which meant we could have the comforts of home as it's amazing how you miss being able to open the fridge for a drink of milk etc. I used the sofa bed (family room) for 5 nights and it's surprisingly comfy, no back ache and I'm 220lb. Laundry room was very good along with free dryers (reception have a "pantry" type section next to it and sold individual wash pods which was very cost effective). Breakfast was free and it showed, but it wasn't bad - good choice of coffee, fruit/cereal, cooked breakfast (that changed everyday). Outside area within the hotel was really nice and peaceful with a good bar that had a bit of life in it. Area was nice & safe (if bland), but Union lake is only a 5 min walk, 10 mins to the QFC supermarket & 15 mins to the space needle. Streetcars are frequent and pretty quick into Seattle's more touristy parts too. Taxis were generally quick but the Hotel is near a major intersection so a pop around a couple of corners in rush hour is advised.

Not much, everything delivered as expected, maybe clearer instructions on waste removal.

Staybridge was the perfect base for our 5 night visit to Seattle. The hotel was a 15 minute walk to the Space Needle area. Pike Place was a longer walk but totally manageable also. Bus stops for the c line and line 70 were within a few minutes walk of the hotel and we used those to get to the docks for the ferries and sea taxis. The area around the hotel was calm and we found our room quiet (4th floor and not facing a road) despite Mercer Street being a busy road. The King studio room was spacious and light and the area around the hotel was calm. All spaces in the studio were very clean. There was a huge fridge with a big freezer compartment, a dishwasher and a microwave oven as well as a toaster and a drip coffee machine. We found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly and appreciated having laundry facilities at our disposal. Plenty of restaurants close by if you do want to eat out. We would definitely stay here again !

There were only two seats available in the studio : one at the breakfast bar and one at the desk. Not very practical for eating meals when you are a party of 3 or 4. The sofa bed was not very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was quite basic compared to other hotels in the same price range.

We got minimal towels upon checkout but we ordered more and was satisfied. We paid over $200 to PARK which I thought was very high, but garage safe and good.

We asked for room to be cleaned up one day out of 5 and she didn't leave additional coffee, sweeteners, no wine glasses and min. silverware in our kitchen, as well as leaving us with a RIPPED towel in our towel batch. We like the hotel and location very much and staff is very friendly and courteous.

The proximity to our reason for visiting Seattle made Staybridge the best hotel at the best value. Easily accessible from the airport or from downtown. Easily able to hail car ride services. The neighborhood was above our expectations with local restaurants, coffee shops and experiences. The front desk staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. Kitchen staff was highly engaged with guests and always with a smile. Will highly recommend.

The king suite was enjoyed by all of my family, but my only complaint was that the towels could have been a bit softer.

Prior to checking in, we received a notification that the room we had booked had a pipe burst and was unavailable. When I called to discuss the room we were to be given, I explained our situation (family of five) and that we had a Thule box on the top of our SUV. We were assured that the room would be supplied with a roll-away bed and that there would be parking. The breakfast staff was awesome! The front desk staff were excellent as well and ensured that we were taken care of during our stay. They ended up comping us one night's stay, which was totally unexpected, but greatly appreciated. They turned a potentially sour situation into a very positive outcome!

Upon our arrival, we found out that there was not parking for our vehicle. We were permitted to park in the temporary parking directly in front of the hotel. It was an extremely busy street and while it worked out, we were quite concerned about the safety and security of our vehicle while we were there. Upon getting to our room, the roll-away bed was not there. The front desk staff ensured that this was taken care of and checked in on us several times to ensure our stay was comfortable, which we really liked.

Comfortable room, quiet walkable location in big city. We enjoyed the local park, Lake Union, & area restaurants. Felt safe walking to & from Seattle Center & nearby restaurants & bars.. Employees were pleasant & helpful. I like having coffee available in the lobby. I liked the security, we had to use our room key to access the elevator.

I hesitate to answer this, as some things could always be better. But it was best place to stay. I've had better breakfast options but they were trying. There was a large variety of grab & go items, which was better than most places I've stayed

Location was great very close to the Alaska Way and Pike's Market. Enjoyed walking to the boat club. The staff was very accommodating and always ready to help. Which was a refreshing change in the US. Room very comfortable and most importantly - clean. We came back and stayed another night post our cruise.

It was clean, the staff followed the corona virus protocals, the staff was great, compassionate, and positive along with happy friendly personalities.

I didnt like the fact that you have to pay a parking fee or park on the street, i opted to park on tha street because your policy said $35 a night and its first come first serve so it there weren’t any spaces available you’re out that $35 and honestly if that had happened i would have been really unhappy so if you’re going to charge for parking the least you can do is provide reserved parking with a parking permit

Overall great stay, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, spacious amenities. All the staff was wearing masks. Loved the outdoor area, room for my dog to roam. We’ll definitely stay next time we visit our daughter. The location os also very good, many restaurants and the water, all in walking distance.

There was one of the cleaning staff who didn’t wear a mask in the elevator. Breakfast could have had healthier options, however the coffee was descent. We avoided the breakfast area, too many people eating indoors, unmasked.
