Every single staff member here is so good at what they do - they always have a smile for you and are super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quite good and it was nice to have a restaurant on the premises as an option for dinner, too. Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet.

A more extensive enclosure around the shower stall would be nice to prevent the water from spraying around so much. The room was small, but I knew this when I booked it.

Nice breakfast and a mountain lodge ambiance. It is really close to the small downtown area. Staff is friendly, helpful and there is a bar / restaurant inside Del Glaciar. Good option in El Calafate!

I know this may be quite an investment as we are talking about dozens of rooms, but the door lock is very complicated to actually lock it and sometimes we felt it was locked but it was not - giving us the unsafe feeling. However, everything went well and there is nothing else to complain about.

Super smiley service with no pretensions. Everyone was helpful. The guys behind the check-in desk spent lots of time explaining everything and the girl in the bar was lovely. Very comfy beds - loved the clean, fresh linen and arm knitted foot blankets. Airy breakfast room with good food choice and lots of real coffee. Dinky jars of fresh fruit a good addition. Also liked the fact the hotel is relaxed about eating your own food and there's a common area for this. Easy walk to centre (a few blocks). Accessible from bus station if you don't mind a shortish walk (took us under half an hour with backpacks). I heard tours were good too (fellow guest recommended the mini trekking) - sadly we'd already booked ours and paid more!! If you're thinking of booking this hotel, check the patagonia-backpackers link as they have an office in the hotel.

One of the power sockets in the room might've been faulty. We started charging two phones and a smartwatch in a single adapter and got some sparks. Nothing serious, and we were able to use a different one (one cell at a time, tho).

The location is fantastic. It is no more than a 5min walk into the centre of town with all the shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is quite, safe and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and happy to help with any tours and advice. The room and bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot water. I’m not really one for breakfast but it had everything essential and they made fresh scrambled eggs on request. The wifi is really good. I highly recommend and would stay again

Somewhere in between a hotel and a hostel. Lots of services, including laundry (they do it for you), a tour company (Patagonia Backpackers), and packed lunch (for a cost). Nice building. Good sized bedrooms and comfortable bed. Very nice staff. Free luggage storage (not locked) and ample common space in the breakfast area for hanging out. Location was nice: on the Main Street of the city but a couple minutes’ walk from the main sites which let it be quieter. It’s also an easy walk to the bus station in El Calafate.

As tours start early, it would’ve been nice to have breakfast served from 6am rather than 6:30. The lady organising the breakfast is very strict, it was a problem to have extra coffee while rushing for the tour (brewed coffee is served). The breakfast is mainly cold cuts, cakes and cereals.

To clarify: this establishment is a HOSTEL, although advertised as a hotel. So it doesn’t have some hotel features: sink is outside of the washroom, no TV set, no light fixtures on the night tables. The pluses: fantastic personnel, super clean, amazing breakfast, rooms are quiet. Would go back without hesitation.

The location is good. 15 minutes from the El Calafate bus terminal and it was convenient for us to take a trip to El Chalten. Staffs were friendly. Breakfast was good. They have a water server and a restaurant inside the hotel. This was helpful for us too.

The bathroom was a little dirty with moulds and some hair left. The room was cold when we entered and no heating was available.
