modern great location

the elevator does weird stuff and wait time of around 5 minutes each time you want to use it. the car parks hard to navigate especially when people don’t know how to drive and take corners way to wide and nearly hit you. room service is way over priced for the little not so nice serving of food. shower pressure is not that good and the toilet keep running had to pull the panel out and fix. also what’s the deal with the amount I paid and being in the 1st level twice now I figured at 500 dollars I would be up higher and fix the f&$@ng fire alarm

The breakfast was fine,

We really didn’t like the bathroom, the lighting is appalling. My husband literally couldn’t see the left side of his face to shave. Having every square inch and every tile Black made it very dark. The lighting in the main room was also very inadequate. There is no shower screen which meant the bathroom floor was very wet after a shower and slippery. We did sleep well

There seriously was nothing not to like about this staying.simple to book and check in and out and being pet friendly is just brilliant

Your car parking arrangements you sold me a hotel car park, and upon trying to find a car park in the evening in the hotel section that I paid for there was not a car park to be had. I was told to park in the public parking area by the front desk attendant. I feel I paid for a car park in the hotel section but you are over selling them if you have 60 parks then that’s all you can sell why should I pay you for public parking . I feel a little ripped off over this. And I believe your practice are wrong .

Abode Belconnen is excellently located near the Belconnen Town Centre, Lake Ginninderra, the CISAC pool complex, the University of Canberra, etc. The rooms are well-appointed. Having a separate bedroom that can be closed off to the living area is a bonus. A small supermarket is right across from the hotel. There are also coffee places and restaurants nearby.

The corridors are long, I mean really long. For someone with difficulties in walking, this could be a bit of a problem, although some rooms close to the lifts are available. CO2 measurements during the stay revealed that the room's ventilation did not receive a high enough amount of fresh air to keep the air quality within the Australian standard range (<800ppm). Rather, air from the room seemed to be recycled. This should be fixed.

The overall style of the apartments themselves were beautiful, modern, and cosy, the blast of chilled air and lights that wafted from the room upon entry were stunning. The shower was amazing and the thing I spent most if my time awake in it seemed with how cosy and permeating the water was. The cleaners knew what to touch and not and frankly the staff and amenities were beyond relaxing. Swimming even in the rain was beyond relaxing. Staff would assist in any matter, no matter how minor it seemed, even the matters of coffee pods for a room were not a bother. 110% polite.

The shower tended to spill out over the lip and the drain seemed to have issues keeping up with the water flow. The windows was quite dirty and the hallways were sauna like at best and akin to a steamer at worse. So only the room and the foyer were suitable to convene in. Also the rooms door wouldn't close sonetimes and would need a second hard shove to close.

The room was well laid out, plenty of room, showers that reached temp very quickly. All facilities in the room were well thought out, including the cooking items. The floor foyers were the best I have seen being overly large and containing seating for those in need. After checkout I had to return to the room to retrieve an item left in the fridge. The desk staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Nice little touch offering a voucher for pantry products. We made use of it to buy a chutney jelly that turned out to be quite a tasty choice.

The car parking was a challenge, and it was not known that a second level was available for guest parking. This could have been made clear in the booking notes. The entry was also a surprise being labelled Wilson and not Hotel. It was not easy to get to the reception from the basement and also directly to our room from basement. This is due to having to switch lifts at one level but a different level when going down into the basement.

Location

This is just feedback, our stay was fine. No electric blankets, no telephone to reception when I had questions. No information booklet about how to use the tv (tried searching for movie Chanel's but couldn't find them), how to organise room service, when does the pool open and close, when do the surrounding shops open and close, parking lifts etc. Abode is advised as a hotel.....not self service apartments and this was misleading. The air con and heating touch screen unit pad was very sensitive to use which was extremely frustrating. The hotel lift and the lift to the car park come up and out at different locations unless there was an easier way but once again not enough information available in the room about it.

Good location near a park/walking track for our dogs. Close to shops, cafes, etc and there’s a Woolworths express across the road. Clean, well-equipped with kitchen/laundry facilities. The gym was well equipped and pool looked good although we didn’t use either.

Tiny space for two adults and two small dogs. Uncomfortable lounge chairs, bed sheets were tucked in hard (a loose doona is so much more comfortable!). They charged an extra $50 per dog per night which is steep plus $15 per night for parking. Noisy - we were woken up by people in the corridor and could feel the vibration of kids running in the hallway.

This is the first time I have travelled with my dog and I was absolutely blown away with how amazing you guys and your facilities were. I own a great dane and it can be super difficult to find places even though he is very highly trained. He loved his stay, was warm and comfortable and I was just as comfortable and happy knowing we had a beautiful clean room which was in a great location, quiet with incredible facilities. Just a shame it was only a quick stop off, I would have lived to check out the gym and the pool. Also the cute little milk cartons for coffee, the coffee available and the fact there was a washing machine!!! Brilliant. I could go on...

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like.

Overall, a fairly comfortable stay. The pool and spa were enjoyable, although, the hygiene of some of the patrons was somewhat wanting. The staff were friendly and helpful and the area was clean enough.

The parking was an additional $15. Surely this could have been included in the stay or paid while making the reservations? The induction stove in our room didn't work and the shower is a bit awkward with water splashing out. 10/10 for looks and it wasn't the worst for a night's stay but it would be bothersome for a longer stay.
