Abbotsleigh Motor Inn

The location is perfect! Right in the middle of town. Staff were so friendly and the parking was right outside the room.

The shower was a bit dirty (a dead bug was happily sitting on the tiles the first night but it was easy to wash down the drain) and the door was sometimes a bit tricky to jiggle open as the key got stuck.

We loved our stay at Abbotsleigh, bed comfy very clean, great location, and very reasonable. we had the basic room, which was a bit on the small size, but for the price of our 4 nights was very good. Would definately book that room again and stay at The Abbotsleigh motor inn

Probably size of room only thing but that wasnt really a problem to us at all. You really get what you pay for. Weather was cold whilst there and room was very cosy

Good central location which was the main thing we needed as we were in town for a family funeral. Staff were very helpful allowing my uncle to check in early to his room after he arrived the day after us on an early flight.

We had asked for ground floor if possible as my mum has limited mobility but the motel was completely full so totally understandable this wasn't possible with a last minute booking. Stairs were easy for her to climb in any case

Very quiet. We were in room #40, second from the back of the property. Excellent air conditioning. Very clean, furniture in good condition and parking right at the room. Good hot water. Owner/manager very helpful after 14 years at the property. Excellent Wi-Fi.

We loved the vicinity, close to restaurants, and a nice walk around a beautiful neighborhood!

The barbeque area is really pretty, a nice spot to sit, but the barbeque itself, is old and rotted.

The location was great, convenient. Rooms were clean. Bed linen were clean. Room was clean and tidy. The owner was nice and accomodative. Bath room was clean.

Carpet in my room had a lot of stains. Seems like the carpet is very old and didnt look nice. The center light bulb was working, so the room wasnt well lit.

A very spacious room. Great shower with hot water pressure just perfect. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Quiet room at back of motel made for no traffic noise. Nicely decorated inside bedroom.

No lock on inside of door, just a chain but there was no problem with that.

Location was great, room comfortable & well laid out. Staff very accommodating with our request.

There didn't seem to be a heater (air conditioner only blew cold air - tried several times to make work). But lots of blankets supplied so we didn't freeze.

Pretty good value for money, good location but pretty run down/old

I asked the cleaner to replace 1 dirty towel.. she took the dirty 1 away but didn’t leave a clean one. We were out all day, then had to share a towel that night.

the rooms were very sensory friendly, the lights weren’t harsh and sometimes we can have trouble with our neurodiverse child and sensory overload.

we had to move the microwave around as there was no plug for it where it was, it wasn’t so much a not liking it, it was just strange that where the kettle and microwave are were no kettles.
