After a 6.5 hr drive and arriving at 8 pm and only 3 degrees in Armidale it was very lovely to find a lamp left on inside and air conditioner on and electric blankets switched on on our large comfy bed. The room was nice and warm to warm us quickly. A hairdryer standard in bathroom to dry my hair was great too and should be in every motel room. We had adequate blankets on the bed for winter also which is a first in 5 recent winter time motels. Thank you Hideaway Motel I have kept your details for future use definately. Keep up the little touches that make a great stay a memorable experience. You are doing a great job at a good price too.

Everything really. Warm, friendly welcome at reception. The budget room I booked was large, clean and had a microwave, toaster, bowls, cutlery and other supplies to make the stay comfortable. Air conditioning and electric blanket combined with the comfortable bed made for a very sound sleep. As I arrived on a Sunday there were fewer restaurants open but the recommended Chinese restaurant was excellent. (A tip: they were busy so if wanting takeaways it maybe worthwhile phoning in your rider and collecting.). Wi-fi was good.

Nothing. (They are 1-2km from restaurants so you do need to drive - or just have meal delivered if that is an issue. ) Be aware that there are several steps to get to the budget rooms but I didn’t find them a problem at 71yrs.

I liked that it had a separate lounge and dining table to sit at. I liked the bed, it was so comfortable and firm...love a firm bed... the room was very clean. Had a microwave which came in handy also a toaster and cutlery for 2 people and 2 bowls as well for your breakfast.I don't think it's included as we were not offered, but the host did ask if we knew about Armidale and how to get around and where to eat. Coffee cups were of decent size too. The room was a great size too.

Had everything we needed. Friendly staff. No couch but comfortable watching TV from bed. Wifi good Has Netflix. A little drive to town, a bit far to walk. Worthwhile seeing the heritage buildings in town and amazing deep gorges/ waterfalls nearby. ( not much water flowing down waterfalls at present)

Shower temperature difficult to control.

Wonderful welcoming staff. They showed me to the room, and made sure I knew about the features including the AC and TV. Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent value for money.

The slope on the parking for some units was a bit steep. Just the way the site is. Some rooms are better than others, so I would advise them if you have limited mobility.

Owners are very very accommodating. I had to stay another evening and thankfully was able. I think this is the best place I've stayed at in the area. The room is large, airy, the beds were made to perfection and comfortable. The location is perfect too, and tucked away off a main road. The room was warm and to my delight, electric blankets. One does not know how essential it is for such cold nights. It's those little things that make me think 10/10. Thank you Zoe especially!

Had an overnight stay in the Family Room for our family of 4. The open room was well equipped, neat and compact without feeling squashed. Furniture a bit dated but I liked that the room felt clean overall. There is clean fresh linen on bedding, and the carpet looked clean and recently updated. It had an effective split system air conditioner and heating unit, and all beds were fitted with individual electric blankets. Our room was on the top floor and although the hotel is on the main road leading into town, it is set back from the road, the room was quiet and we all slept soundly. I didn’t notice any noise from neighbours. Beds were slightly soft but still comfortable. There is a microwave and coffee / tea set up in the room with even a small bottle of fresh full cream milk in the fridge provided. The owner Zoe at reception was excellent- very welcoming, friendly and helpful in suggesting places to eat. I would be happy to stay there again.

Bathroom a bit cramped. However the bathroom had an updated toilet and vanity with ample hooks and towel rails for use, so still very practical and it was fine.

Very friendly staff. Very clean room. Good value. Well set up with crockery glasses and microwave. Comfortable bed, air conditioner was quiet and effective.

A little out of town but easy drive. Close to highway so easily accessed but no road noise. Foxtel didn't work and TV dated and poor quality.

Lovely people who run the motel, they were genuinely friendly and helpful, and they were also really nice about us locking the key in the room. The rooms are a really comfortable size with a small sitting area and functional little kitchenette plus bathroom. The wine and beer at reception is a civilized touch too. Everything is exceptionally clean and well maintained, good onsite parking, secure and quiet. We are very happy to recommend this as a great stay in Armidale - thanks!!! We will visit again

Minor issues with the hot water but all worked out ok pretty quickly

I really loved that it was a cold night and when I arrived my room was being heated and my electric blanket was on as well. I really appreciated that. It was such a welcoming touch. They really cared with that personal touch and went to the extreme of turning those items on to make my stay more comfortable.
