Country Comfort Armidale

Always stay here on visits to Armidale. Rooms are gorgeous with excellent sized TV. Furniture in room is perfect. Bed is comfy. Bathroom is beautiful and functional. Perfectly located close to everything yet cannot hear outside noise from the streets surrounding property. Staff are AMAZING!! Helpful and kind. Nothing is a problem.

The only thing that I can think of is that the parking spaces are tight directly in front of the rooms. If people either side of you park close to their lines it is difficult to park with a larger car. However there is a large carpark at the rear of the property with multiple parking spaces and I have parked there a couple of times. The rear carpark could perhaps do with some lighting as its very dark in that carpark at night.

Cleanliness is paramount to me & I was extremely happy with the high standard of the hotel. Also providing individually wrapped & eco friendly utensils for eat in dining was great, it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into guests needs. Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar provided & the scrumptious cookies were a delicious touch & thoroughly enjoyed. After staying in air con only hotels on our trip it was a wonderful relief to be able to actually open a window for some fresh air! All of this will definitely ensure a repeat visit on our next trip

We booked the last room available & at short notice so parking was at a premium. Parking out the front of our room was impossible as the car park was full however there is an extra parking area to the rear which we used, just a bit of a walk with luggage etc & it was pouring rain. Fortunately a spot became available out front not long after so we quickly nabbed it!

The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The amenities were great. I would definitely re-book for a future stay. The staff were lovely and friendly and assisted us when we requested an early check in and assisted when I needed to have a work space on Sunday during our room move to a bigger room on the second night of our stay. We stayed for 6days in total.

On the second day when we moved to a room with 2 double beds, we were placed in a room with an interconnecting door so we could hear our neighbours with their children. I would have preferred not to have a room with an interconnecting door on any future stays but otherwise everything was wonderful. Thank you Country Comfort team for looking after us!

Very convenient and easy accessible to all amenities. Walked to the best burger join, Burger Urge, on our 1st night and had an amazing pasta at New England pizza on our 2nd nite. A strolled to a beautiful park on Xmas eve enjoying live band. Our family room is big and clean. Everything is perfect from coffee and tea sections with variety of different biscuits; complete sets of toiletries and the bed comfy feel. We loved it so much we decided to extend our stay. Thank you to Peter and Margaret for being so helpful and friendly.

Clean and tidy, comfortable, central location. Had the best shower I have ever had! The gentleman running the Inn was the most helpful and kind fellow I have ever encountered in this industry. He freely gave information about the places in the area that would be useful for us, without having to ask! I will definitely return to stay here on my next visit.

The only thing I could note is the bathroom needed a little updating, however they are in the process of renovating the rooms and some have been completed already. I was given a look at the updated rooms and they are glorious!!

The team was super accommodating and helpful in regard to nearby places to eat/drink/do/see. The room had a massive flat-screen TV, AC, an electric blanket, tea/coffee-making facilities, an ironing board, a fridge and a desk. The room was spotless and you could see it was recently renovated. The shower head was incredible and the boutique soap/shampoo/body wash was a lovely touch. Eateries are a one-minute walk down the road and the town centre is a quick drive.

Absolutely nothing!

The friendly man at reception swapped us to a room with a microwave. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. There was a sofa so we did not have to watch TV in bed. We could not hear traffic noise despite being on the main drag. The room was new and clean.

There were plates, knives and spoons in the room, but no forks. We had our own, but it was an observation. Parking was rather squeezy. No overhead light in main part of room. It was hard to see what I was writing when I sat at the table.

Absolutely gorgeous! From check in to check out the service was impeccable. We were met with the friendliest chap who upon learning it was our first time in town proceeded to give us fabulous recommendations for coffee, pubs, restaurants and amenities close by. Every recommendation he gave was spot on and we had the best time in Armidale thanks to them. Our room had clearly been recently renovated and it was stunning. A very clean and lux aesthetic with very comfortable furnishings and a fabulous shower.

That i couldn't stay longer. Such a beautiful establishment, i hope more people stay here.

Great overnight stay here, not your average motel. The room we had was recently renovated. Bed, pillows and sheets were similar to hotel quality. Friendly staff and good location within walking distance to the main streets of town. We were lucky enough to try the new restaurant next door, The Cottage, which had excellent food, wonderful service and a warm ambience with outdoor table settings. Would definitely stay here again.

The only thing I could fault is that we had to carry our luggage up the stairs as we were on level 1. Which is common for those types of motels in the area.

rooms were very clean and comfortable. the room was newly refurbished and everything had been thought of. The location was great and in walking distance to restaurants and cafes. the staff were lovely - pointing out the features of the town and where to go for coffee and dinner.

no negatives. The on-site restaurant was booked out for a Christmas party and so couldn’t accomodate us for dinner but they wasn’t really an issue.
