We had a spacious room with a view of the lake and a small balcony. Bed was comfortable and we appreciated having a sofa on which we could sit to watch television and relax. We also had a table with comfortable chairs, a coffee table and desk with a desk chair. We also appreciated having good air conditioning, adequate size fridge, a kitchen sink, toaster, plates, cups and cutlery. There was also a modern microwave which we didn't need to use. The staff were accommodating and friendly and it was easy to check in and out.

I noticed that a light fixture at the desk did not have a light globe, however that was not really an issue.

Location was perfect with easy access to UTurn point and back street exit is close to Readhead beach. Room was big, beds very comfy. Shower head great, pressure and hot water great. Small details like they service the room daily. Provide tea towels, dish washing soap, microwave and kettle. Big TV with YouTube and WiFi. Pool. Aircon worked great.

Due to them being super busy the room was a bit dusty near the lamps etc. It could do with a a deep clean/dust. Car park spots are tight for those who don’t know how to park. Room 6 the door handle needs to be fixed as had issues getting in and out. Pool could be cleaned considering it’s summer and we used it daily and cleaned it myself

Compared to other accommodation near by and closer to Newcastle this was well priced and conveniently located with a great view across the road of the lake. It was a basic room with everything you’d expect in it. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. I was at the back of the property and couldn’t hear any traffic which was nice. The shower took a while to heat up but when it did it was a nice hot shower with good pressure. Parking onsite is good but probably not suitable for longer vehicles or cars with bikes on the back as driveway is rather narrow.

The signage out the front isn’t visible when coming north from Newcastle so it’s easy to miss, no lights out the front didn’t help. They currently have construction fencing around the pool at the front of the property making it harder to notice the property especially after dark (June 23)

Although on the highway the rooms are located behind the front office and are amazingly quiet. Also the entrance to the rooms there is only a front door, no windows, so no noise from guests parking cars. A full wall of windows faces north with a door opening onto a small area. Excellent kitchen, spotlessly clean, good beds. All for $100 a night.

There's a sign on the front door of the office saying...office unattended for 15 minutes, please call this number. we did, no response. Waited 10 minutes, just happened to notice a door bell, rang that and a young man came straight out from a room off the office. Sign still on the sliding door the next morning....with the office staff sitting inside. Please remove it

The room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay long or short term. I really liked how it had somewhere to sit and eat as well as arm chairs and a microwave. The room was well lit and very clean.

If I had to give one negative it would be that there is not allocated parking outside your room it’s park anywhere that there’s a spot. The afternoon we checked in it was raining and we had to run back down the car park to our room with our luggage and the same in the morning when we left.

I have stayed here several times. The family rooms are so economical when travelling and I have always found them clean. Staff very accommodating and friendly. We will continue to stay here for future trips. The location is ideal as it is an easy drive into Newcastle however also not to far from the central coast as well. Shopping in Charlestown or Kotara is not to far up the road.

Some of the other quests where inconsiderate regarding parking however this is not a reflection on the motel. It would also be nice to be able to access the pool as it has been un accessible for over 12 months possibly longer. The kids like swimming in the beaches which are close but having access to the pool would be advantageous.

The room had been recently renovated and looked much nicer than the outside of the motel would make you think. Bed was comfy - all very clean, nice flowers in the room. Can park right outside room as you would expect in a motel. Room a decent size. Usual things, microwave, fridge, glasses. It is close to Belmont and right across from the lovely lake, not far from the beach either. Good cafes in nearby Warren Bay.

The bathroom was serviceable but old fashioned (minor quibble - it was fine). Access from the road was tricky, a sudden turn off a busy road and the parking area was VERY tight. Only found out later in my stay you could exit the carpark at the back via a sliding automatic door. Having said this some big utes and 4wd had got in.

The room was as described, it had microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Which is uncommon in recent times. Good sized room, with decent size TV. Had table and chairs to eat at and 2 chairs away from table area to relax in. Bathroom decent size. Parking at door to room.

Bathroom door was a sliding door that was noisy and was in need of some lubrication and resigning in track. Reverse cycle was great except it dripped whilst on, onto my bedside table, so much I put a bowl there to catch drips so my ph etc dud not get wet. This issue reported to staff at departure.

Location wasn't to bad, no shops within walking distance but really nice views of the lake across the road, the bed was comfortable!

There was too much furniture in the room, the carpets need a good vacuum, carparking is really tight and if other guests don't park correctly was difficult to get out.

The room was clean and presentable. The bed was amazingly comfortable and huge. And it was great to have somewhere to actually sit and watch TV instead of sitting or lying on your bed to do it

I really didn't dislike anything
