Spacious and clean hostel with nice female forms with its own bathroom. The pool and kitchen are also great with lots of tools and fridges to prepare food. The location is a bit away from the centre but has access to a quiet beach. They offer free shuttle service to the main bus station

The amount of British travelers due to group tours and collab with Happy Travels. It made it hard to socialize as they come in big groups dominating the pool and dorms. I also recommend to maybe include 2 additional shuttle service stops at the lighthouse or Wategos beach as that’s a must visit but very far away!

Location next to Belongil beach and Creek is tranquil and shuttle is easy to get with many return trips per hour with many guests wanting to travel to/from town. Upon checkin, was upgraded to 6-person mixed room with an ensuite and balcony without extra payment more than $88 per night, for a 3 week stay (booked 6+ months in advance). Other rooms must use the common toilet and showers. Towel service is excellent, only $5 and can change to/fro shower/beach type as often as you like (when available). Pool and bar is great, and is where they offer free weekly guest BBQ one night and wine and cheese another night including non-guests too! (except for Christmas and NYE). Clean bedrooms and kitchen facilities.

- No gym, only yoga and surf board/bikes. - No cold water (only warm tap water) - Warm drinks from the vending machine (Coke) - At night, almost every night, animals scratching and running and making loud noise fighting - Broken kitchen equipment like the boiling water tap upon arrival had luke warm water but was fixed next day, the element of one of the cooktops was not working, fridge had water leaking at bottom, without a rack to protect the food bag. - Food cubboards and fridge were fully loaded every day, the guest has to search for an expired tag from a guest (doesn’t appear to be cleaned by staff) - Spoons, forks, and cups (glasses) were left in rooms and there was a shortage every day in kitchen

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, great hostel with amazing pool area. Very high speed Wi-Fi and opposite the beach! Very spacious room which even had its own balcony.

Cleanliness could have been better, for example there were stains on the sheets and dirty footmarks all over my floor. The only big minus for me was soundproofing between rooms was non existent, meaning I could hear every word of the conversations in the rooms adjoining mine, people moving in their bunk beds, phones going off etc, which didn’t make it very restful but it is a hostel so this is to be expected.

The property is very close to the beach and adjacent to the excellent Tree House Restaurant. The place is full of young people, it has a good vibe and I believe it makes easy to socialize. If you are a young surfer, you could spend days in a radius of 100 meters from your room with full satisfaction. You can very pleasantly walk to the main beach through the beach.

The room had no place where to hang stuff. Not even in the bathroom. The decorative cushions were dusty.

The staff was awesome! I’m pretty introverted but on the first night, a male staff member saw me standing by myself watching beer pong and immediately introduced himself and then introduced me to a group of girls who I’ve met up with a few times since during my travels. Property was clean and quiet and the hostel had fun events to meet people. Probably my favorite hostel I’ve ever been to!

No pool, but that will change come September!!! It’s a little outside of the city center but it’s an easy walk or Ubers are available. The hostel also provides regular shuttle service during the day.

I love the private room, very comfortable and beautiful. It was just a little bit too noisy until late at night cause it’s in front of the bar and it’s made of wooden walls. The public facilities were great and always clean, beautiful pool, amazing inclusions on the rate (yoga class, shuttle to the center, free parking). Everything seems recently refurbished, not the shared bathrooms though, it could be better, I missed a shelf inside the showers. Overall, great place in front of the beach! I want to be back for sure.

Receptionists were super nice and had heaps of recommendations! Wifi was consistently excellent all over the (huge) property other than right next to the yoga tent. Yoga classes were amazing and I even learned new poses. The beach across from the hostel is incredibly lovely especially at sunrise and sunset, and there's never many people there since it's away from the main part of Byron

The individual lights next to each bed were really bright, so if one roommate had theirs on, the whole dorm was lit up, and it made sleeping impossible unless you have an eye cover (the light can be seen even though closed eyelids)

- Proximity to the beach - Overall athmosphere, great place to meet people - The bar and swimming pool area - Friendly staff - Travel agency next door, easy to book any activity in the area - Free yoga lesson

- The free shuttle bus service is between 8 am and 9.30 pm, it would be great to have a shuttle earlier in the morning (say 7 o clock) and another shtuttle at 11 pm at night - The bike rental isn't free, which is a shame considering that a bike is well needed if somebody wants to go around Byron Bay from the hostel - Very thin walls, I stayed in a private bedroom and could listen to the conversation of nearly everyone around me - Considering that the main common area (swimming pool / bar) is not a place where can bring his own food, the secondary common area is quite small

Thé double rooms/cabins are so nice if you’re wanting privacy. The hostel runs really good activities like cheese and wine nights and also free yoga classes every morning which is great! The pool area is nice and the drinks are super cheap

It’s not as close to the main part of Byron Bay as other hostels, but there is a shuttle that runs to the main part every hour, stopping at about 9pm and the last one back is at 9:15 so if you’re looking for a late night it’s a walk back. The bathrooms were really standard and the showers weren’t the cleanest, making me think it’s a bit expensive for how basic the facilities are

Really nice looking place. I had a private double room which is like a cute little cabin with good air con, lots of space and the sink and mirror in the room were a nice touch. Good location in front of a lovely beach and easy 20 min walk to the town centre or you can get the free shuttle bus. Or take a bike! The pool and bar area have just been done up and are perfect for relaxing. Lots of social events on in the evenings that don’t go on so late that they keep people awake. Having your key on a lanyard useful… particularly when you have so much stuff to think about when travelling! I was told when I check out at 10 I can still use the facilities like the pool etc… which I think is a big plus for people who are relying on public transport. Staff friendly and helpful.

It was a bit noisy in the mornings… there was some work going on by the pool that did wake me up. Could also hear the sound of the piping from the showers/toilets in my room…
