We have stayed at the Commercial Hotel a number of times and have never had any problems. Comfort and cleanliness has always been up to standard but I think they must have spring cleaned or have a new cleaning crew because the room was really clean (skirting boards, windows and bathroom etc.) - thank you. My husband is usually working so the proximity to town when I don't have transport is also very important to me when booking accommodation and the fact I just cross the yard and I get a good value meal in the Hotel. Also there is a small shopping centre just up the road for any necessities and goods for breakfast.

The addition of an Air Conditioner which not so much on this occasion but on others when we have stayed would have been very welcome.

The room was clean, well appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. I was amazed to find they provided queen-size towels, unlike every other hotel I've ever stayed in... a definite A+, in my opinion.

I was disappointed to find Zero methods of disposal for cigarette butts around the guest area, as there were several discarded bumpers littering the ground outside my room. Perhaps they could provide a means of disposal in the future?

honestly it was a nice room for the money I spent and the bed was comfortable. the fan was a great addition as was the sink in the bedroom. wardrobe came in handy because I needed to hang up my wedding attire. PowerPoints were all located conveniently and the light above the bed was great for reading. staff were super polite and helpful when I got lost in the pub looking for the reception desk. reception staff in particular were very friendly. I forgot to bring a spoon up to my room before checkout and the younger lady at the reception was friendly when I brought it back an hour later. and throughout my stay the cleaners asked me if I needed anything which I appreciated. thanks heaps for the wonderful stay :)

this is my one and only complaint - shower hot water system did not work. the sinks hot water worked, but the shower did not. I tried for a solid 15 mins to get the hot water working, even to the point I only had the top water handle on, and still nothing. so on an 8 degree morning an ice cold shower was my only option. other than that I have no complaints and I admit I didn’t alert the staff because at the time I was in a rush to get to a wedding. and really this is a minor point of complaint because I still got clean, it was just a bit of a mission to shower in icy water.

I was super happy to find this bargain! I had a yummy beer & dinner in the pub, the room was clean and tidy and I had the basics I needed. Temperature was nice and it was quiet, even with the quiz on downstairs. I slept well.

It's not realistic, but I absolutely would have loved a bath! There was a small one in the shared bathroom, but it's just a shallow and short one.

Super convenient to Lithgow station. Friendly staff. Very clean shared bathroom (I was in one of the rooms above pub - I didn't see the motel rooms). No noise from pub - but it was a week night, so I can't comment re weekend.

Crisp white bedlinen on comfortable big bed. The location is fantastic, nice hot shower. Ticked all the boxes.

May be a little noisy if you don't like traffic, but didn't bother me at all

The host is amazing! Very accommodating to every needs which compensate completely the minimalist environment! The place has its own chic and style. Good for the budget travelling!

Electricity sockets and TV wasn't working

Awesome little get away, right next to the pub, wasn't noisy at all. Great food and atmosphere and live band on Saturday night. Beds were so comfy and rooms nice and warm

Commercial is the best value for money in the whole of the Lithgow area. the staff are the best and the location is tops.

Nothing about the commercial - just too many pubs have closed down in Lithgow - you can't do a decent Pub Crawl anymore.

Bed was pretty good and room was quiet. Shower was very good. Towels were exceptionally clean and soft.

No light in the bathroom as the globe was missing.. Dark carpets are not to my taste but otherwise decor was pleasant.
