The ambiente was amazing, the people very nice, family dinners once or twice a week. Felt more like a home and less than a hostel. The guy owning it is super nice and can give a lot of tips where to go in the blue mountains

It was a bit of a pain in the ass paying before we left because there was some problems with technology and some people before me, so if possible pay via booking and not pay on arrival.

Best hostel experience I've had so far! The staff are so kind and the place has a very warm and homely feel to it. Great lounge and backyard and people actually socializing. Kitchen has everything including oil, milk and a lot of seasoning! Breakfast is pretty basic but the bread was good. The town is really charming as well. Highly recommended! Would stay again.

The bed was a bit small, especially the height between the top bunk. Mattress is ok. Only 2 bathrooms, however I stayed for 3 nights and it was almost never an issue. There's an extra toilet outside. Sometimes they won't turn off the lounge music at night, but just ask someone and they'll do it

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. It felt like a family. Everything is extremely cosy - there was a fire, cosy living room, firepit and barbecue, and board games. The rooms are not bad, pretty cosy! We had free mulled wine one night.

The downsides are annoying, but don’t diminish the great atmosphere of the hostel. There are very limited toilets (two with a shower and toilet inside, one shower outside and one toilet outside). always a big queue for the inside ones. The kitchen is also tiny, which wouldn’t be a problem except that only two of the hobs function. It’s near impossible to cook in peak times so make sure you meal prep.

What a wonderful place to stay. Without question the best hostel experience I have ever had. Ross is such a great host, and the other travellers there were so welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean and was a great place to stay before a big run from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. I definitely feel like this is a home away from home and if I’m lucky enough to get into the 6 Foot Track next year I will be back.

I can’t fault the place.

Ross and his staff were really nice and handy with us. Ready to help and I would like to say special thanks to Ross and Ayla ! Thank you guys! You were doing great job!!!!

Suggest sending messages about what's up activities in the hostel. Some activities we lost because we were out bushwalking or visiting around . Suggest put it through social media, e-mail or sms! Thank you

Really cosy communal atmosphere. Pasta night every Tuesday and a bargain Christmas dinner organised by staff and long stayers. Beds were comfy and the rooms remained cool.

Only 3 places to shower shared by pretty much everyone. If a shower breaks or needs resealing, expect long wait times on showers. If you're in dire need, take a trip to a waterfall...

Ross owner welcoming and knowledgeable on the area. Recommended a walk for afternoon of my arrival. Good kitchen and communal indoor and outdoor seated spaces. Numbers small so people chat. Board games, arts stuff, instruments, books all available to use. Clean and tidy.

Access to bathrooms (2 inside, 1outside) something of a challenge. Is it free? Or is it not

really cozy and friendly environment. everybody is really nice, including Ross that gives really good tips for the best walks around the blue mountains. he also sets up a fire every night and everybody hangs out around it, which is super nice and promotes people to meet and talk to each other. there are a few rooms and dorms, but only 2 toilets inside and 1 outside, which may mean that you have to wait a little to use the bathroom and have a shower (but not too long I don’t think). even though they are used for so many people, the facilities were always tidy and clean, which was good to see. kitchen is well equipped as well. the living room has a different decorations which makes quite cool, and is spacious as well. dorms are kept warm with heathers and the beds below have electric blankets. i stayed in one of the top beds and was not cold during the night. location is pretty good, 30min walk to the 3 sisters, 5min walk from the station and the main shops/coffees/ restaurants, and there are the buses very close as well. i really liked to stay here and would definitely come back :)

the only down thing is actually the number of the bathrooms, but they are kept clean. I didn’t really have to wait much to use the bathroom so this was not a problem for me.

The property has a very wholesome atmosphere and is a home away from home. Ross was super helpful giving the best advice on where to go for walks and hikes in the Blue Mountains. He even cooked everyone a ‘family’ meal on the first night we arrived which was great! He took us out to watch a sunset and was the best guide for the area.

Really nice hostel, super clean as they hoover every day! Lovely community of young people, there's always something on: bbq, music, games. You could also do your own thing if you don't want to join in. The bedwarmer sheet was a nice touch!

It could be quite busy sometimes. It's hard to find a space on the premises where you could have a bit of alone time.
