The hotel room was a bit quirky a mrege off the old and new locatioin a bit out of the way the piece de resistance the Blaq restuarant the manager oif the bar Dwayne should get payed more hes has lot to do not only looking aftre tables ,staff , and serving at the bar he was brilliant. The food exquisite should be a hatted rating delicious , varied presentation top notch and setting outstanding and staff very freindly and helpful (Visit the Dry Ridge Estate Megalong Valley a must if you visit)

The only thing that spoiled it was the reception it might be just me but when you are ignored by people who are having a chat about there families maybe it was because we arrived early to book in ?

There was a feel of luxury and it was a very calming hotel to really switch off from city life! Loved the negronis in the mini bar and the bathroom was lovely!

I’d have loved it if there was room service. It would have been nice to be able to chill in the section of the restaurant where most people ate dinner. Or if the greenhouse was open. Having an app or something that didn’t require going to reception to book the tennis courts/ sauna etc would have been great. Similarly some recommendations of things to do in the area would have been greatly received. It was disappointing we couldn’t do any hikes without driving to them.

The bed was very comfy and soft. The air con was nice and toasty on a cold night. The water and cookies by the bed were a nice touch. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The best part of the stay was the restaurant. We had the most delicious dinner and dessert and the breakfasts were beautiful. The gnocchi and dessert selections were a real treat! Jess looked after us on all 3 occasions in the restaurant. Her bubbly, kind and warm presence complimented the exceptional food and atmosphere. Jess was so beautiful with the guests and the staff alike. It felt like being with family. Even if you don't stay the night the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

The only real thing to mention was the bathroom. It was very dark and cold. The exhaust fan was really loud and turned on automatically with the light which drew cold air in through the mesh opening at the top of the window. Also an extra chair would be nice as there is plenty of space and having only one meant someone had to sit on the bed.

Our weekend stay at Kyah exceeded our expectations. We were so comfortable and well looked after our entire stay. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and eager, to make a state memorable. Jessica, the bar manager, went above and beyond to provide us with great information, recommendations, and her wealth of knowledge into into Food and Wine of the region. We can’t recommend this place enough. I am already eager to book my next holiday at Kyah, and am looking forward to see what else they have in store for us in the future. Also, the breakfast was lovely!!

Pillows could’ve been a little softer and I think guests would really enjoy longer opening hours on the outdoor spa.

Soo aesthetically pleasing, they’ve done such an amazing job renovating, whilst keeping a little bit of that old motel charm. Ladies on reception were all lovely and soft spoken, it made it feel boujie but not pretentious. The room was comfy, cute, had real plants and a really good mini bar with a little Negroni making kit - my partner loved that! We also loved the brand new spa and hot tub and appreciated that you had to book them so we could have privacy. The morning buffet was so unexpectedly nice! Amazing service too. We’d like to come back to try it at night as the restaurant was closed for dinner the Sat night which was a shame. We ended up eating at Zoe’s which was a 6min drive and quite good.

I left a gold ring in the sauna and think another guest might have taken it as I called reception to look for it and they tried and couldn’t locate it in the sauna nor in our room, not Kyra’s fault though. We do wish the restaurant was open at night too, seemed strange to be closed on a Sat night, we were really looking forward to it after seeing the menu. You can’t walk to anywhere else nearby for food at night, you could ride bikes there during the day though.

Kyah was lovely - it’s a short drive away from lots of great look-outs and walking trails, the food was good and the atmosphere quiet and peaceful. Great design aesthetic overall and very comfy. Excellent service too. They have a hot tub and sauna which you can book so you use it alone and don’t have to share with other guests!

The only oversight seemed to be that there aren’t robes and slippers in the rooms - if you provided those, it would make getting to and from the room to the hot tub easier and more pleasurable for your guests - just a suggestion! 😉

Everything was absolutely wonderful. Every aspect of the hotel was so well thought out. The staff are truly wonderful. I think her name is Jess, the waitress when I was there was a legend and could answer any question and more. She was also so friendly and made you feel very welcome. The sauna was awesome and had a little timer in there. You might not want to go in the hot tub in winter, but think again, it was actually my favourite part of the whole trip. Just chilling with warm water and some sunshine. I could go on, I would highly recommend Kyah and can’t wait to go back.

If I’m being critical, you could use some moisturiser in the bathrooms considering the cold location and maybe an extra bench in the hot tub to put towels/ clothes so they stay clean. Apart from that, it was amazing.

An absolute Gem in the mountains! I would have liked to stay longer. It truly exceeded expectations. From the interior design to the amenities. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a beautiful lobby and friendly face. Loved the room (the size was great) and comfy bed! The breakfast and dinner at Blaq were great (the fresh produce were delicious and interiors are lovely). The little Tea Area and sitting area upstairs where our room was.. absolutely loved that! (such an amazing idea!). Well planned out and great value for money. I didn't get the chance to try the hot tub or the sauna, but definitely one excuse to come back!

There really isn't much to say in terms of cons. The bathroom in the room was a little dark (I understand it adds to its interior charm), and It was a little difficult to get the water temperature right (very sensitive) in shower and sink. But these really are quite minor cons.

Loved the complimentary session in the outdoor spa & sauna. Delicious restaurant onsite - we ate a Blaq on Saturday night & enjoyed our dinner. Rooms are a good size & mattress was extremely comfortable. Very friendly staff who were accommodating. Free onsite parking.

Rooms aren't soundproof - we stayed in a room near the restaurant which was very noisy. You could also hear the people in the room next door & above. Pillow were also a bit too thick for my liking so slept on display pillow. Lighting in room was too dim, great for mood lighting but too dim to get ready.

Everything was really nice. We even got a little birthday chocolate gift and a handwritten note. It made my partners day that much more special. The venue was spotless with very pretty styling. I loved the mood lighting and the layout of everything.

Staff were really lovely and cheery but seemed overworked at the restaurant both morning and night! Like one person balancing all the tables, drinks, food orders, till…ect. The receptionist was also fantastic but I noticed he was there from early in the morning to very late at night, and was having to manage stuff in the restaurant too, a very intense 12hour shift for him! Everyone was doing very well and so onto it despite this, but perhaps they need a bit more support from management/ staffing or something. Being in customer service I feel for them!
