Just what we needed; I recently underwent surgery on my feet and my travel needed to be restricted to no more than 2 hours. Staying overnight made that possible, so we returned to the Alpine Motor Inn for a night's accommodation. Despite being close to the highway, we have enjoyed the fact that the Alpine Motor Inn has carefully managed its location and gardens to minimise road noise. As such, we had an excellent night's sleep. Not always guaranteed at some of the others forms of accommodation we have used over the years.

Pillows were a bit flat.

the check-in and checkout process was quick and easy. the room was very clean and comfortable. lovely view out the window to the trees and the valley.

the only problem i had was the air-conditioner. despite being set at 27 degrees, it only put out cold air. i fell asleep after putting the ac on, expecting it would warm up the room, and woke up about an hour later shivering. there didn't seem to be an option to make it a heater rather than cooler.

We had a great night's sleep in a very comfy and big bed. Wow! The room was spacious, with a TV, little fridge and possibility to make tea/coffee, which was great. Warm blankets also available in the closet, which we had to use as it was a little chilly. It had everything we needed for one night. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, nice area, and the best price I could find in Katoomba for this weekend. Highly recommend, especially if you come with a car.

The place is great if you are with a car- has a parking outside, however, if you come by train, it's a little far from everything- need to walk around 15mins from the train station and no restaurants or grocery stores around.

The cleanliness and sturdiness of the retro furnitures. Room’s filled with natural light, and no funky smells :) Surprise to find heated blankets on the bed, made our sleep more pleasant. Our room windows display the views of the highway. Short distance to the town which is convenient.

Bathroom ventilation could be better

Ground floor unit which made it easy to access - room was fine - nice to see some complimentary biscuits to have with a cup of tea - although the Motel is on a main road we did not hear the passing traffic

The decor is a bit dated and I think there could be a mould problem in the bathroom that needs addressing - the bed had fresh sheets but there was only 1 pillow allocated per person and the mattress itself was quite hard - not so comfortable for sleeping - perhaps extra pillows in the wardrobe might be nice

This was perfect for a 1 night stay in Katoomba after a friend's wedding. Cute little rooms with everything you need. Thank goodness for the great heating in the rooms too.

The beds were a bit too bouncy, and even though the rooms were clean and looked perfect, the outside of the rooms and reception areas could do with some work.

Cold night. Wayne sat there freezing in the office late welcoming and help guests. Wayne or someone had put heating on in our room before we arrived. Very thoughtful. Professional and warm service from Wayne.

Old ammenities e.g. bathroom layout might be pokey for a group, an older or larger person. We moved bed for child safety and noticed thick dirt/debris under bed. Restaurant closed. Some people might prefer to be located closer, in walking distance to Katoomba shops/main street.

Room was very clean and well looked after.well worth the stay and good value for money

Outside areas were not looked after with very large pot holes as you drove in also entrance hard to see at night requires a lighting system to make entrance better

The location was close to town. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. The room though dated had everything we needed and was clean.

The location is on the Great Western Highway near the BP truck stop, so be prepared for some traffic noise. We didn't notice it much as we were out early in the morning and back late at night.

Everything was more that my expectations. Air conditioning worked well, window was closed and no noise from highway. A little bit far from from city. But if you have car everything is accessible. BP gas station is behind the building and they have very nice coffee. In the morning u can go for a walk and grab a fresh coffee from there.
