Spotlessly clean room. Crisp white bedlinen. Quiet location of room at back of hotel. Comfortable lounge and dining areas.

TV service very poor. Poor internet connection for Android TV. Could only see streaming services but as I didn't have my passwords with me I couldn't enjoy the TV. I didn't see any free to air TV channels. Ended up using my phone to watch Netflix chewing up data . Also I got locked out after checking out early and putting my bag in the car the next morning. It was already after 8am. No one answered the hotel phone. I had to ring a friend to come down to let me in (minor problems compared with the general high standard of the hotel)

The hotel has been refurbished. The twin room was comfortable & the amenities clean & new. The bistro has a fire & 2 comfortable lounges in front with a coffee table … great for pre dinner board games.

Although the property has been refurbished, the windows to our room 6 had not been repaired /painted. There were gale force winds over the two nights that we stayed and the cold 2deg wind was blowing through a crack where the window did not seal with the sill. The noise from the train whistles & traffic during the night disrupted our sleep.

Room and contents very clean and fresh. Hotel well located. Glazing inhibited noise from the highway outside.

No spare blanket and very lightweight doona. Electric blanket cord was barely long enough to reach plug and was not plugged into socket so when turned on at bed, did not work. If management did not wish to leave it plugged in, some advance warning at reception would have helped, rather than scrambling to identify the problem at 2am. Old style building and music in bar below sounded like it was located immediately underneath.

Great location in Blackheath, walking distance to pretty well everything. Room was basic, but had everything I needed. Price was excellent for the location and stay. Even had a small balcony with a table attached to the room, though it was shared with the room next door.

For the price, I can't really say there is anything I did not expect. The room I was in had a shared bathroom, but the room did have a sink in it, so the shared bathroom was just for the toilet and shower. The location is great, but the road noise can be a little loud, nothing a good pare of earplugs can't solve though.

It was mentioned that there was a seating area, there was not. I booked double/twin. There was only a double bed in a very small room with an ensuite. Lucky I was with my partner rather than a friend. The room got a bit warm but I realise how difficult central heating can be to control for everyone. The room was very clean and the staff were lovely. It was good value for money and the meal we purchased in the hotel was very nice.

The car got bogged in the car park due to the unseasonable wet weather. So I would suggest filling in the holes so this won’t happen. I left by train but arrived with my partner in a car.

The location in Blackheath was great and the pub itself is very charming. The room was good value for the price we paid and the bed was pretty comfy.

There was no fridge in the room which I was aware of before I booked so can't blame them for that. Also on the weekend its a little tricky to find a place to park at night in the lot because of the patrons just be aware of that if you take your car out in the evening.

This beautiful old pub had everything that you would want in a pub stay and it was warm!!!! They had central heating in our room and at the end of autumn it was a very welcome surprise. The food was classic pub food, delicious and filling. The lamb shanks where amazing! The staff where friendly and kind, the onsite parking was great and we will definately stay there again. It was lovely.

Honestly anything we could say would be being picky, it was great.

Lovely little pub stay in an excellent location. Room was cozy but not cramped with a basin, tea and coffee facilities. The pub itself was great with a comfortable fireside dining and lounge area, and a classic Australian bar. Shared facilities were clean.

Another vegetarian main option on the menu. But the vegetable lasagne was great! There wasn't much to dislike here, particularly given the extremely affordable price.

This little place worked really well for me. it’s not 5 star by any means but neither is the price. it was clean, had an en-suite, had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I was able to check in late and still get food. for the price this is a great little place

between 3:30-4:30 a.m. on the Sunday morning someone decided it was a good time to empty out all the bottles and tidy the outside area below my room making a load of noise. I did not appreciate it

Superbly clean rooms with beautiful big windows. Before arriving I was concerned about the prospect of "shared bathrooms" but there were heaps of bathrooms on the floor and they were all sparkling clean and the shower temperature and pressure was excellent for a cold night. Thank you to all of the friendly staff at the Gardener's Inn - I hope we will be back! Also - highly recommend the parmigiana for dinner - fabulous!

The heat in the rooms was quite intense on our second night - it would have been cool if we were able to control the heat in our room but overall we really did enjoy our stay.
