Sharon was a delight. The checkin was flawless. The room was small and the bathroom a stone throw from the room across the hall but when I booked the room Sharon did call to tell me this which was very appreciated. That said, the room was more than adequate, very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! In fact I took pictures of it as it gave me a little inspiration for a renovation I’m planning. I should also note, that although the bathroom was across the hall it still felt private. Also. This is the only room in the B&B that has a seperate bathroom. The breakfast was also an absolute delight! Well prepared exactly as I had requested.

This really is such a gem of a spot in Nambucca! From check-in, to the immaculate cleanliness of the room and premises, to the over and above attention to detail by the owners on every level. Close to shops and beaches. Superb value for money. Rarely do you come across accommodation where you give 10/10 on every level without hesitation...this is one of those places. We have recommended Riverside Rest to all of our friends and family, and easily recommend it here. We will be back very soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Sharon&Darrin. We're so nice kind and caring! Now they have no disabled facilities, but Ian because of Ian's Parkinson's, and there were stairs, Darrin took up our suitcase, and took it back down today for the Taxi. Our room was spotless, the Breakfast cooked by Darrin and home made bread was beautiful! And Sharon was just so nice and kind to us, as we are Seniors, We would recommend Riverside Rest to all our friends, thank you Sharon& Darrin we need more people in this world!!!!

Breakfast was excellent - generous and very tasty. Even though our room was quite small it was good to have the use of the loungeroom to watch TV. Sharon, our host, was warm, welcoming and friendly.

The ceiling fan frequently made a buzzing sort of noise that woke me up or kept me awake - until we worked out what caused it and then I turned off the fan. There were also noises from (I think) the fridge and they also tended to keep me awake. (I do have very sensitive hearing.)

Very cozy atmosphere and hosts, feels brand new but not in a way that lacks soul. There are some small knickknacks/art pieces for sale downstairs which were interesting to look through and added charm.

I thought there might have been a microwave (maybe there was one and I just couldn't locate it downstairs). Having the fan on did cause a creaking sound to occur, I didn't mind it but maybe others might.

Riverside Rest was a lovely place to stay, felt at home, Sharon and Darrin were very welcoming. Three well appointed rooms, we stayed in smaller room with bathroom literally 2 steps outside our door, would easily stay again in one of bigger rooms with ensuite and kitchenette. Loved the cooked breakfast and homemade bread and jam. Thanks Sharon and Darrin for your hospitality.

I guess the steps up to house and to room could be a deterrent for some but not a problem for us.

This is the perfect B&B if you want to have a break on your journey from Brisbane to Sydney or vice versa. Great location for a stroll after a long drive, super friendly reception, quiet and clean and a very nice breakfast before hitting the road again. Nambucca Head also has enough things to do to stay an extra day. Highly recommended

The stay didn't exceed our expectations simply because we had read all the excellent reviews - and our experience fully lived up to them. Very friendly and helpful welcome; excellent home-cooked breakfast; good TV choice; free use f extra towels for the beach. We recommend the venue highlly.

Nothing - especially bearing in mind the value for money.

A very warm welcome by Sharon with ful explanation of the property, facilities etc. she arranged for a shuttle bus to pick us up and take us to the Services Club for dinner and bring us back after. The room was large and had all we could want and a very comfortable bed for an excellent night’s sleep. Breakfast was first class. We will recommend this property and will stay here again if we are up this way again.

The warm hospitality of the owners. The breakfast was delicious and the home-made strawberry jam was a bonus. As I was travelling alone, I really appreciated the warm friendliness extended to me. They also demonstrated exceptional kindness in ensuring I was able to get to the train station for my return journey and this was sincerely welcomed. Thankyou for your generosity and I am only too happy to tell my family and friends about your establishment. (My son, Chris, booked this accommodation for me and I was extremely pleased with his selection).
