Diggers Tavern

Central location with plenty of parking. The accommodation was part of the hotel with a very good restaurant which made dinner an easy choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem for them.

Cereal, milk, juice, coffee and tea were available in the room but if you wanted a hot breakfast you had to go to a local cafe. Fortunately there was a very good cafe close by but not walking distance

Well equipped rooms. TV, iron, kettle, toaster, bar fridge milk, cereal and juices provided (handy because we arrived very late and were in a hurry the next morning). There was a communal kitchen for use also. Fantastic staff and a lovely relaxed pub attached. The staff also helped us by finding a place for us to charge our electric car to 100%. Which was invaluable, as many charges on our drive were broken, making the trip long. So this was a great head start for our trip home. Thanks.

The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were lovely. I was a little concerned about the location before we arrived but it's not too far off the highway and the town was gorgeous. Overall, I loved staying here and we will be coming back.

It was a little confusing when we first arrived as there's no dedicated reception area, but it wasn't too difficult to work out as they had sent us instructions on how to enter.

Very convenient location. Room was spacious and clean although not very modern. Comfortable bed and effective quiet air conditioner. Biggest shower recess imaginable. The DIY continental breakfast in the room was fine and the toaster was a bonus for bread I had with me. Rooms are separated from the hotel and are quiet. The food in the pub is fantastic! Smoked duck breast salad and the vegetable risotto were superb!

The building works next door mean that entrance from the limited rear car park up to the second floor is currently via scaffolding stairs that make carrying luggage in and out difficult if it’s outside normal pub hours.

The location was so good, close to all cafes and shops, The food was amazing at the tavern and staff friendly. Highly recommend to stay clean and tidy. Breakfast was included which was cereal milk juice coffee and tea and yummy biscuits.

only thing was the parking was to far away especially when it was raining very slippery, and construction happening next door which meant you were walking on scaffold steps to get out, But when construction is finished it wont be an issue.

Great location, rooms very clean and tidy and the staff were fantastic. Meals were amazing and we enjoyed the raffles on Friday night winning 2 meat trays. Only downfall, was we had a room with an adjoining / shared door - noise did come through which I don't think would have had the door not been there (snoring - talking)

The staff were lovely, the location is perfect to explore the town and have a night out, great for a solo traveller to meet other travellers and locals. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, spacious, the bathrooms great and they have a few morning refreshments in the fridge. Ill definitely stay here again.

The air-conditioning positioned at my face whilst sleeping so I turned it down really low. The windows don't open for fresh air. The scaffolding is really scary after a big night out, I wouldn't want to go up it with luggage.

Really enjoyed staying here. Rooms were basic but clean. Staff were lovely. I am in a wheelchair and the rooms were easily accessible. One problem was access from the lower car park when in a wheelchair, it was inconvenient. However it did not dampen our stay

Simple breakfast of popper juice (1 apple 1 OJ), single serve weetbix & cornflakes and milk included. Despite being part of a noisy tavern our room was very quiet (furthest from bar area). Dined in Bistro - it was extremely busy but speed of service, menu options, portion sizes, value for money and quality of food were all very impressive.

Position of Aircon. Should be higher up wall as was blowing directly onto bed from a short distance. We had to turn it off - thankfully not an overly hot or cold night.

Good motel with off street parking in the centre of Bellingen. The rooms are at the back of the pub, so although the place is on the main road the rooms are quiet. Diggers has a large bar and a bistro that serves a good variety of food at competitive prices.

The fridge was quite small, OK if you're there for 2-3 nights though
