The property was extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. Our room was more like a suite in its generous space and its presentation. Breakfast was served at our requested time in the dining room, a cold or hot selection which was adequate in size and well prepared.

Driveway access to the property was difficult, being up a steep driveway and then at its top a sharp turn. However, undercover parking was then available close to reception. The location of the property in an elevated position necessitated the steep access.

The motel has a lovely charm to it, the building was built in the 1880s but it's really lovely and clean in the rooms, had balcony looking towards the river, the room we were in had a good sized shower, breakfast was included and we had full breakfast. Can walk along Riverfront and towards the ocean to see waves breaking. There are a couple of places to eat within a couple of minutes walk from motel, but can walk a 10 minutes or so further and go to RSL and into shops as well. The couple that run the place are absolutely lovely and if you have any questions or need anything you only have to ask and they will do their best to help you.

From arriving to leaving our stay was fantastic. The owners went out of their way to make our stay one of the most enjoyable in recent memory. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and magnificent view of the river. It was spotlessly clean. The water pressure and temperature was perfect. And the free hot breakfast, served to either our room or the beautiful dining room downstairs, was the icing on the cake. I can't recommend highly enough.

Nothing...perfect!

The history was identified in its ambience. Our room and balcony overlooked the river and the sound of birds both morning and night made this such a relaxing place. The owners were friendly and very helpful with directions to places to see and the various restuarants within walking distance. Breakfast was included and freshly cooked. Will make this our halfway point between Sydney and Brisbane in the future.

As it was raining we were unable to enjoy the balcony.

We only stayed one night, but it was comfortable. The cooked breakfast was tasty and just the right size. Our room had a sofa and a lovely view. It was very pleasant sitting out on our own balcony outside our room. It was also only about a 10 minute walk along the river to the large RSL which has beautiful views. It was also just a short walk to other cafes.

Our very comfortable room was up a flight of stairs which might not be suitable for everyone but looked out towards the Nambucca River with a balcony & outdoor furniture - a lovely place to sit with a drink & some nibbles. Breakfast was much appreciated & quite enough for us. Rena and Ziggy were wonderful hosts, welcoming, friendly & helpful. Would love to go back.

Very accommodating hosts. Undercover car parking. Lovely cooked breakfast. Interesting garden created by host Rena. Location is excellent; very close to wonderful walks, and the best pizza restaurant I've ever been to. Bed was comfortable. Close to excellent fishing spots if you like that sort of thing.

Decor is a bit old. But still clean. Driveway is easily missed.

Lovely hosts who did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Good sized room and bathroom. Great location with a short stroll to the river which you can follow all the way to the beach! Superb pizza and pasta place 2 min walk away and short stroll to the shops too.

More a reflection on me perhaps and not a major issue but as it’s an older building with wooden floors our footsteps in parts of our room seemed to resonate and echo loudly… I was worried about my children disturbing others with their heavy feet!!

The accommodation was an unexpected surprise. As it was only a stopover I didn’t expect much but I was very happy with the exceptional service on checking in, the size and facilities in the room and the wonderful breakfast for half the price of the bigger chains of motels. This is one place I couldn’t recommend more and I will definitely be utilising their accommodation in the future. 5 stars. No doubt.

Really friendly staff that were helpful and fixed the netflix while we were at dinner. They were attentive at breakfast and made sure that everyone had enough to eat. One of our best stays in a hotel for a quite a long time. Thank you!

main bed was lovely and soft. The single beds were not pillow top mattresses but perfectly fine for children.
