Close to Macquarie hospital and uni, easily walkable for work, close parking and comfortable rooms. The soap/shampoo/conditioner is a bonus if you forget anything. Staff were pleasant and check in and check out were very quick and simple. Wifi was free and fast and the casting system to the tv makes chilling out in the evenings with some streaming services from your phone a breeze.
No real complaints about this hotel if you just want a quick simple stay. However, most of the add ons are quite expensive.. $16 per day for parking for guests is steep in my opinion when rooms are near $200 per night and the breakfast is >$20 when there are other options within walking distance. It does look and smell lovely but I have not participated due to the expense.

Good food, cleanliness and great location, what else do u need from a hotel u r staying at! Hotel staff was kind enough to give me guidance on how to go around d city via d most economical way like train and metro. They taught me how to use the maps on opal app. All my requests were catered to on time. Felt great interacting with the manager Pinar as well, her professionalism and her staff's will to cater to specific needs of the customers, made it one of the best experiences ! What do we need when we go to a new place,a little kindness from people around! Hotel mercure's staff and manager are extremely kind ( Patrick, Jeremi, Pinar and all those, whose names i could not remember) ! Hotel stands out due to its location in macquarie park ! Great place to start d feel of the city's metro and train journeys.
Booking.com made it too costly me.

The check in young man was lovely as was the younger fremale during the day. However tge older male and female at tge desk were quite rude & dismissive.
The 2 older members at front desk made us feel like we were bothering them. I was travelling with my son for Uni Open Day and after travelling on a train for several hours we arrived lare to find 1 bed. We wanted to split it, which we did ourselves but needed more linen. We were made to feel like we were bothering the staff member to get this for us.. Then there were what seem fresh blood stains on the doona. Not nice at all but we didnt want to tell receptiin because they were so rude having to get the linen.

This is the 6th time I’ve stayed at this property due to being so close to the hospital. Each time has been a pleasant experience, but this last time has been exceptional! Plans had changed upon release so I booked in for an overnight. From the moment I gingerly walked in the ladies at reception were amazing. Changing my accommodation to ground floor, upgrading my room- NOTHING was too much trouble. Smiles from all staff, even the young gentleman working in the restaurant- Thankyou!
Nothing to complain about at all

We loved our stay here... we were heading home to far Nth Qld from Canberra so it was convenient to the Highway (but not too close that it was noisy) so we could get an early start. Staff were amazing... so friendly and helpful. The beds were seriously comfortable.. made me think that lots of flashy hotels that charge heaps have forgotten that the comfort of the beds is really important.. we were very happy and slept so well. Breakfast looked amazing tho we left early and didn't partake - if we had time we defiantly would of.
only fault was the shower - the pressure and water was very minimal.

Loved the breakfast and the bed. Staff were amazingly helpful. Will definately stay there again! Parking was good. Express checkout was great. Giant Nutella jar was amazing! Fruit infused water delicious.
Tv was in some Asian language so couldn't work out how to use the remote to change it to English. Shower pressure was strange and handles were hard to figure out how to adjust the pressure. Location was hard to find and parking directions could have been made clearer. Nothing in the room to instruct guests on where to put used towels, how to work tv, what amenities were in the area, what transport options were close by etc. I have stayed at other mercure hotels in nsw and this one was disappointing. No bedside lights in the room made it difficult for people to read while others slept etc. Only one blanket in the room with 2 beds. More vegetarian options for full breakfast.

Front of office staff couldn't do enough to help me. Of particular note was the lady who checked me out on the Sunday. She was extremely pleasant, remembered my name, looked after my bags whilst we attended a seminar after checking out, arranged airport taxis, remembered my name again and made the effort to say goodbye with a warm genuine smile! I said to my son at the time how lovely and helpful she was and we both agreed it makes you want to come back again.

Spacious room for the $$ with dining table/chairs, kitchenette with microwave oven and a couch/coffee table. Very handy public transport, nearby shopping centre with many options for dining, plus on-campus breakfast and lunch options plus basic room service available after the nearby restaurants had all closed
Small quibble but seems like housekeeping staff do not check bathroom - no TP replacement (had to ask) and towels not replaced unless placed on the bed (which would be fine if this was made clear)

The Mercure is very easy to travel to being just off the M2 and it is also very convenient for people from outside Sydney who need to access the Macquarie University Hospital.
The breakfast provide onsite didn't represent value for money. You had to pay full price regardless of whether you wanted hot breakfast or continental. Key part of hot breakfast were scrambled eggs which in the severing dish were rubbery an uninviting. Choose to have breakfast at one of nearby cafes.

The staff were exceptional!!! Really friendly and helpful!! It is the nicest smelling hotel i have ever been in!! The room was huuuge!! And very clean! The bed was very comfortable and much bigger than expected. And it is great that it's so close to the hospital.
Only 2 things.. foxtel channels were not working and there was no gluten free food to order. But other those trivial things it was a great stay
