Travelling as a family group. (We were in Darwin for the under 15 hockey carnival.) Had rooms 1207 & 1206👍 This made is very easy for catching up with each other for meals, looking after youngest grandchild. etc . The young ones were able to catch up with other WA families staying at your appartments, for meals and made great use of the pool area. The layout of the apartment exceeded our expectations. There were 3 of us in the apartment my self and husband. Plus my brother-in-law having individual ensuites was a plus. Our early morning coffees were spent on the balcony watching Darwin come to life

The staff are outstanding, special mention to Jimmy who went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. A all round nice guy. Thanks Jimmy. The location is perfect, in town, close to the bar strip, however, far enough away from the noisier venues to be peaceful when you choose to stagger away from a night out. The layout of both the one bedroom and two bedroom is really good. The two bedroom has triple access to the good sized balcony - sliders from both bedrooms and the living area. I am so happy to have chosen H on Mitchell. We will return. I think it will be like returning home.

Look, I do Commercial QA for a living. I don't work on holiday. In my experience, even with high Spec homes, the more you look, the more you find. This place is great.

This is based on a return visit. We loved the location. It's close enough to the heartbeat, however, you won't hear boom boom. The apartments, (based on experience of 1 and 2 beds), are well laid out; architecturally, spacious, good-sized balconies. Parking - on site. Bar situated accommodations, don't let that put you off - you won't hear a thing. The parking levels, located above, act as an acoustic buffer. You won't hear a thing Staff, fantastic. Great people. Special thanks to Jimmy at front of house. The front of house make the holiday....100%

I go holiday to relax, I don't focus on silicone snags in the shower. Don't worry, all is good.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. The apartment was small but had everything we needed including laundry and kitchen. There was very efficient airconditioning, fans and a balcony. It was quite comfortable and met our needs. It is one block back from the Esplanade so only had a city view and a glimpse of the sea from the balcony. Walking distance to the shopping area though, so quite convenient.

Cooktop was not working. Minor cracks and maintenance needed in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was pretty good. It isn't cheap but having the kitchen means you can self cater to save money.

Great roomy 1 bedroom apartment with nightly sunset !

The pool area was supposed to be glass free but in two occasions I saw younger guests drinking excessively snd leaving beer and cruiser bottles in the pool Space. They were still there next morning ! If staff monitored the pool area on a regular basis this could be avoided ! And Patrons asked to leave the area if unable to clean up and respect the pool rules

Fantastic apartment style hotel located on Mitchell Street at the edge of the Darwin CBD. Room was well furnished and very clean/tidy, and bed was very comfortable. The room also had shared laundry facilities with another room which was very convenient. Hotel is located close to plenty of local restaurants and cafes, and about a 15-20min walk to Mindil Beach and the Waterfront Precinct, there is also an escooter parking bay right out the front of the hotel so can use those to get around nice and quickly. Staff were all very friendly and the onsite restaurant is also nice. The pool is lovely and clean. Overall a fantastic stay here and will definitely stay here again if I come up to Darwin again.

The room was spacious and clean. I was surprised to find there were laundry facilities in the room (as part of the bathroom). This was extremely useful throughout my stay.

There was no real information provided in the room. There is a mention of room service, but no menu. I went downstairs into the Lizard Lounge and asked if I could order room service and I was told no. So it's very unclear what the real situation is around that. A little disappointing. I'm glad I didn't book "with breakfast" because it wasn't actually available until 7am and I would have missed it on those days I took tours.

Love the balcony and the view and close to everything. Jimmie the front desk guy was amazing! Loved walking in and being greeted by him when he was on. Cleaning staff were amazing and very efficient

Pool felt like it needed cleaning more often.. there was a dirt ring around the waterline and leaves in the pool but was still good. Got the handy man to to fix the toilet in the main room but didn't put it on straight. Air-conditioning was dripping and ants seemed to be living in there. Have notified front desk at end of stay and was going to sort it for next guests. Location was very noisy. Needed more sound proofing or double glazing on windows

The studio rooms windows could be opened. Very close to everything in CBD. Toiletries and tea/coffee regulary replenished and room serviced daily. Laundry shared with one other apartment was handy.

Waiting and waiting and waiting for the lift. Studio apartment doesnt have a knife or chopping board for the "kitchenette". Essentially its a toaster and kettle facilities, with a dishwasher that you have no need to use. The BBQ facilities did not have any utensils to cook with or items to clean up afterwards.

This was our second stay at H on Mitchell in 3 months. We loved it the first time so were keen to stay at the same place. We had a lovely view from our balcony and enjoyed watching the sunset over the water each night. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to shops, the esplanade and the harbour front. The room had a full kitchen, and although it faced the setting sun, the two air conditioners meant that it stayed cool. There was plenty of parking ($10 per day). The restaurant downstairs had nice meals (takeaway available for lunch and dinner) and great coffee in the mornings. The laundry was in the bathroom which was great as it meant we didn't have to share with our neighbour like in some of the other apartments.

On our first stay we were very lucky to be given a large corner apartment. Unfortunately on our second stay we weren't so lucky. The room we had was ok, but probably a third of the size. I would have gladly paid extra for a corner apartment. I wish this was an option. The layout of our room and the next room, coupled with the very thin walls meant we could hear the person in the room next to ours snoring each night and could even hear what they were saying. Despite this, if we visit Darwin again we will probably stay at H on Mitchell again
