Club Tropical Resort Darwin

Quick, efficient and friendly check-in. Spacious, comfortable room and bed. View of large lagoon style pool with easy access. Restaurant atmosphere and food great. Enjoyed a late check out due to flight change, staff happy to accommodate. Close to airport although we had to drop rental car back 1st so didn't make much difference to us.

I don’t think there was anything that we didn't like but could mention there is not much to do around the immediate area except a walk along the beach. It is not close to the CBD. We chose this place because of price and close to airport. Toilet was weird, facing wrong way towards the shower so not much room for legs. Limited privacy if you open curtains. They probably should add sheer curtains.

The rooms were a bit hit/miss. We weren't happy in the first, for various reasons, and the staff were very helpful in finding us a suitable and better location. This 2nd room was larger and in a better spot on the property, with a great balcony. Clean, nice bathroom + good sized fridge and onsite bbqs made for good meal making - and food/drink storage. The onsite restaurant was handy, reasonably priced with good meals. Drinks were also reasonable. The location - you're a bit out of Darwin (20mins), but we were there in June for the V8s, so other closer accommodation wasn't available or was very expensive. It was v quiet at Club Tropical at this time. Not much in the area, but a cheap $20-25 Uber ride got you to most places including town, the waterfront and the v8s at Hidden Valley. Overall, not a romantic spot (for a couple), but worth considering if travelling as a family or friend group, particularly during busier periods in Darwin (June to August).

Crickets! They were a problem and were getting into our first room. It was the location on the property we think. The pool was large and good during this quiet time, but Day 1 - the lawn was overgrown and the pool was a bit green. Day 2 - lawn mown and pool blue! :)

I stayed here in 3 different rooms for a week and was very happy with my stay. It was comfortable, safe, pleasant, clean and enjoyable. Close to Hospital and Cas shopping centre. The staff { Cath, Damon and an Irish lady} there were very kind to me and helpful, nothing was a problem. They got me a vase { as we had flowers } and allowed me to change rooms and check in earlier. I really recommend this place and will be back there again one day when i visit Darwin. Thank- you for making this a pleasant stay even though i had to go up to visit my daughter in Hospital.

Nothing really i didn't like, but maybe some rooms needed more kitchen utensils. The Big Pool could be a bit cleaner { think cleaner wasn't working} but still swimmable and nice.

The room was larger than most motel rooms. The property was immaculately clean. The price of the accommodation was extremely competitive. The on-site restaurant offered excellent food.

The Darwin suburb of Lee Point is extremely quiet, and it is some distance from the nearest shopping centre. Guests would require a car to stay at this location.

The partition between rooms when sitting outside, not all rooms have this. Large rooms with nearly everything required. Privacy, quite, lots of free parking, Restaurant, Fans and aircon. Pools and BBQs. Good size fridge and kitchenette facilities. Plenty of bench space. Great staff.

No windows or insect screens for airflow. No sink for washing up. Very small toilet area facing wrong way so not ideal for larger people. Motion sensor light in the bathroom is very annoying.

Great room size. Really close to secluded beach(lee point) Great pool size. Restaurant was good food at sound price. Clean, new and well furnished rooms. Powerful air conditioning. Staff helpful and friendly. Huge space and away from noise and busyness of city. Automated bathroom lighting

Bit far from city - need car to really take advantage of Darwin. Could hear noise of people moving in room above - no roof insulation. Strange smell in room if aircon left off - but went quickly once aircon on and only minor odour.

we liked that our particular room faced green lawn and trees, and that the shaded balcony was large and had a table and chairs ( we ate breakfast and take away dinner on this balcony in the gentle tropical breeze) The room was large an had a fridge, micro, toaster, etc. Also the staff rereshed the coffee, milk and sugar pakets every day, so we were never short. All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing holiday, and we hope to come back next year.

Spacious room with comfortable sofa and also chairs and table. Great size fridge/freezer. Parking outside door. The swimming pool was excellent.

Chose to stay here as near airport and due to advertised airport shuttle service. However were told shuttle no longer running - v disappointing. Reception only staffed from 8am - 8pm was not good enough - but staff weee good when there.

Nice room and nice pool.

Shared verandah, neighbours sat outside ou room talking and arguing.

The pool was fab and there was no one else around so we had it to ourselves in peak season. The spa feature was fun also.

There was no basin to wash dishes or get water from. We had to use the sink in the bathroom. Some butter and a few condiments would have been nice as we paid a fair price for the rooms. Overall, it was a fun stay. The Pool made it for us. If staying again I would try out the BBQ. If there was a day spa this would have been nice. A few light meals on the menu like a bowl of chips or simple breakfast menu was not listed on the menu. Just a few more details.
