This room was like wearing noise cancelling headphones! I really liked that. It felt very safe and I was impressed with the furnishings and feel of the place. The view was incredible! I was amazed at how beautiful this part of the city is. So green, lots of beautiful trees. Humongous windows so I could see out easy and didn't feel trapped in a small space.

The car parking situation could have been super confusing if I hadn't reached out before hand to request extra details. My requests were dealt with very efficiently, hopefully this helps someone else unfamiliar to the area. My Ute, while very handy on my big property, was very challenging to navigate through a Carpark which I think may be more suited to smaller cars. I was very lucky to arrive on a less busy night as there were only, approximately, 5 spaces not marked 'small car' and my dual cab squeezed into one. On a busier night it might cause heart palpitations to find a space for big boned cars. There's nothing management can do about that, but hopefully this helps any folk from the country who arent used to the small spaces of the city.

I think the stand out for me is the staff. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is so welcoming and kind and will do whatever they can to make your stay memorable. I love the cafe downstairs. A great flat white to start my day! The room is comfortable, has everything you need and it is so handy to have the kitchenette. Also being so close to the train line made getting around Brisbane very easy.

The one thing that was quite annoying during this trip was the noise of the doors. We were staying in a suites with a door off the hallway, then a small area with two doors into each room. Whenever someone entered their room, it felt like someone was trying to break into our room. Unfortunately, we did have some quite noisy younger people who I had to speak to, so I think that made it worse. But I do know that it is just because the doors are fire doors and very heavy. So, I'm not sure there is much you can do!

The hotel suited our purposes very well as we were travelling for day surgery at Westside Private Hospital. It was so useful to be in the same building as the hospital. The hotel room had all the necessary amenities for our short stay. The room was clean, fresh & up-to-date. The reception staff were very helpful & friendly. As we arrived late they were organised & proactive about ensuring we could access the hotel & our room after reception had closed.

It would be helpful to know what amenities are close-eg where the closest Woolworths or the like were as we were unfamiliar with the hotels location & arrived quite late (830pm).

Very impressed with the room. It had natural light from a large floor to ceiling window, the furnishings were top quality and the decor modern. Parking was underneath the building and cost $20 but you had to get the parking ticket validated at reception. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless. There was a cooked breakfast special for just under $20, good value and delicious.

The reception closed quite early in the evening.

The suite was exceptionally quiet, very clean and convenient. The best part of the stay was the service provided by the front desk staff, who went out of their way to be helpful.

We were staying for 5 nights and under those circumstances, it is nice to have a clothes line in the shower/bathroom, to enable you to dry small laundry items.

Nicely appointed room, spacious enough with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, my room was above the daycare center, so the sound of screaming kids made it a little hard to focus on work. Other than that, great service from the staff and having a cafe that opens for coffee at 6am was awesome! I'll stay here again, for sure.

Location perfect as I had appointment at medical suite in building. Bed very comfortable especially as pillows were soft and not "high rise". Good to have small kitchenette, especially microwave as I brought my own food.

Hotels equivalent in quality/style to Essence are, are inclined to lack individuality. Not really a criticism, it's a standard that is kept.. I had everything I needed.

Breakfast and meals were good value and friendly service when i did use restaurant. Rooms were nice and clean and well planned.

parking direction for Essence at entrance needs to be better indicated please as its not clear. please indicate turn to find Essence Parking as new guests were stuck creating blockages between two toll gates. Parking system was down during stay which was confusing as well. it would have been nice to have a laundry room in facility being apartments.

Everything was clean and stylish. It was close to shops and food. Beautiful view from a ceiling to floor windows and bed was so comfortable. The staff were amazing and so accommodating. I will definitely come back.

There was nothing I could say that I didn't like. The stay was so nice.

Great location, very convenient travel with Taringa station right behind the hotel. Beautiful modern apartment with fantastic views of the city and Mount Cooth-Tha.

Rooms facing the road heat up quickly with the sunshine. Easily countered with AC but it needs to stay on all the time.
