Jephson Hotel & Apartments

The location was perfectly positioned with a short walk from Toowong raiway station. I caught the airport train and changed trains at Bowen Hills for Toowong and the Jephson Hotel. It was a very simple change and transfer of trains. The room was comfortable with the addition of the balcony facing Sherbrook Street. The bed was very comfortable. The young man who cleaned my room was polite and did a good job. Tea and coffee along with a mini bar selections were available. It was possible to do a lovely walk by the riverside as well from this hotel. The Regatta Hotel is a lovely venue to visit or a lovely meal. It is an enjoyable walk from the Jephson Hotel.

I was a bit disappointed to see that a toaster was not included in the room. There was also no microwave to use either. A bit disappointing as there was not a restaurant currently open in the hotel as far as I was aware. Having said that there were numerous cafes and restaurants close by to choose from including the Regatta Hotel which was wonderful. A good walking distance from the Jephson Hotel.

- reception staff very friendly and helpful as our flight got cancelled and we had to do the after hour check in. Clear instructions were given to ensure a very smooth check in process. -very comfortable king size bed with comfortable pillows -Great location. Lots of good food options especially KatsuCo which was situated in the same building. -minutes away from Toowong Village for shopping

There is nothing that really comes to mind. As the building is on a busy street, you can hear the traffic noise. Not a major problem as we are not in the apartment much at all.

Everything! We loved everything! Our check in was smooth and easy, the room was immaculate and accessible by stairs or elevator. The size of the room was excellent, could move about without falling over each other and luggage, and very comfortable, new, clean and fresh. No yucky musty smells. Very comfortable and luxuriously enormous king sized bed (no lower back ache!) and the pillows were superb as well! Ample parking available onsite and free. The later check out was also fantastic. The location is great, close to the shopping centre with lots of cafes and restaurants around on the street. We really loved our stay, and would definitely come back!

Apartment was very clean. Beds were super comfy, even noted the brand to consider purchasing for our next bed at home. Close & easy walk to a number of restaurants & a shopping centre.

The bedroom windows need block out curtains over the blinds to block out the outdoor street lights at night. Found it a bit noisy at night to sleep from the street noise below, I guess thats to be expected in the CBD. Would also be great to have a bigger kettle to boil more than 2 cups at a time. It was advertised as a 3 bedroom apartment but was actually a 2 bedroom apartment with an adjoining room.

The hotel was clean and quiet and the room was very comfortable and fairly spacious. It had a balcony as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Note that the hotel is small and there are no desk staff later in the evening. We were visiting family so the location was excellent for us as we were walking distance from them. There are plenty of small restaurants in the area and Toowong Village shopping center is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The area is well connected by city buses. The staff very kindly let us hang out at the rooftop lounge after checkout until our departure for the airport. Altogether a great value if you don’t need to be located downtown.

No negative comments, we were very satisfied.

Have stayed here twice before & will continue to stay here when visiting the area. Beautiful, modern clean room & complex. Stayed on level 2, good size room for 2 people, comfortable bed, has everything you need in a room. Optional shower head, good water pressure. Nice to have a balcony. Two lifts which helps with moving through the complex. Undercover secure parking available. Lastly, the Staff are so friendly, helpful and know their job well. They are very accommodating & professional. Thank you. Toowong train station easy short walking distance away, 2 stations away from Milton train station which is very close to Suncorp Stadium. Supermarket close by with a variety of restaurants & for those late night items there is a 7Eleven across the road.

If I have to pick anything it would be the parking. Even though there is secure undercover parking which I love & always look for, the parking spaces are limited and its first in best dressed. I try to arrive earlier so that I can snag a spot. You can park on the street, but at times the street looks busy.

very comfortable bed and large spacious room. Nice balcony area and a good selection of shops close to the hotel and about 7-10 min walk to get to the river. Lady on front counter in the morning was lovely

It was a good stay but the after hours check-in process could do with some refining, I felt like an inconvenience for having to ring them at 8pm to get the code for the safe to then to open it and get my keys. I also from a safety perspective didnt like that several other peoples after hours keys where all in there together.

We only spent a brief overnight stay at Jephson, thanks to a very delayed flight from NZ. However, we found the staff to be very helpful with sorting out a late check-in, and were friendly at reception also the next morning. The location is brilliant, being right in Toowong Village close to the shops and eateries. The room was great for our family of 4 for an overnight stay. You would probably want something a bit bigger if you were staying any longer than 3 nights, or if you were planning on spending a lot of time in the room. Overall, we had a good and quiet night at the Jephson, and I would happily stay there again.

The queen bed was a bit softer than expected (not terrible though) and the pillows were a bit lumpy (again, not terrible but could have been a bit better).

Gentleman at reception upon check in & throughout stay. He was friendly, extremely helpful nothing was a problem for him to help out with. Have stayed here before that's why we returned, clean, modern, comfortable, all made easy to stay. Undercover parking available free, though some spots are smaller/tighter than others. Love the shower head option. Location to shopping centre, restaurants, train station. We are staying again in February. This is a great place to stay, will always recommend this place to others. Male staff member helped out with use of umbrella, helped with our frozen meals. He went above and beyond. He needs a pay rise. We will be back!

Its not that I didn't like it, but maybe consider putting in a microwave in all rooms not just the apartments. This would certainly assist, just gives that little extra, microwaves are not that expensive. I accidently booked a room without a microwave & I had frozen meals to heat up. My fault here. First night the noise of people in the hall opening & closing doors at all hours, (ie: am hours mostly). Every time the doors closed on other rooms the noise was loud with a big bang. I was being woken up at least 1-2 times every hour. Maybe something could be put on the door to limit the banging noise. On one occasion someone tried to enter our door. Otherwise everything is great and cannot fault.

The location is superb, very close to all conveniences. The building is modern, and clean. There is parking both under the building and on the street. The price was very reasonable for the quality. The staff were polite and very accommodating. The shower was strong (a rarity in many Australian hotels nowadays). The room had a nice balcony. Also had an iron, ironing board, safe, coffee and tea amenities, a mini fridge, and a nice (spacious) work desk. The bed was very comfortable and had different types of pillows. I would consider it an excellent choice for business travellers.

My room had a connecting door to the next door room, and perhaps for this reason a loud neighbour could be heard talking on the phone all night. Perhaps this was just bad luck, but maybe sound isolation could have been better. I only stayed one night. I would have said the service was 100% except for the fact that on the day I was leaving, in the morning, I wanted to have a shower and (only then) found out that there was no soap. This was apparently forgotten (shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were there).
