Very easy to talk to staff, they checked in on me during the day for time of arrival, location was close to various places to grab a bite to eat, easily walking distance. Spacious room, bed was firm but comfy. Everything you needed you had. If you like hot water you're in luck it's piping hot. Air con was great. I'd stay again.

A little noisy as it's on the main road but the noise subsided as it got later Lights from car parking area lit up the room a little so maybe some better window coverings required but not a deal breaker. Same as the positive review on the water. As its piping hot watch the young ones it gets very hot very quick.

That everytime we have stayed it is always clean, we are greeted cheerfully. Pool was lovely and clean as well. Our preferred motel for our visits to Mackay, we don't look at any others. Thank you Galaxy for another great stay, staff are wonderful.

Nothing to complain about, it's a lovely motel and it's our preferred place to stay on our visits to Mackay. Only thing we'd say would be to have a face washer to go with each towel for each visitor however we asked the people and they were more than happy to provide extra without hesitation so it's not even a dislike. 4+stars easy....

Room had a kitchen that was perfect for us. Had sufficient cutlery and crockery for our 2 day visit.A decent size fridge. We also liked that the toilet and shower were separated from the vanity basins and wardrobe providing a powder room of sorts.

Our room had no bed lights or bedside table but only a minor inconvenience.

This was the only motel that we stayed that was comfortable. Bed comfortable, good size fridge. It was the family room. You had frying pan to cook something, plus a microwave. So if you're staying more than one night, you'll be able to buy food and cook it. Would definitely stay there again.

Pool was great, could have done with a clean. The manager was really awesome too deal with.

We found that our room filled with cigarette smoke due to other people staying a few rooms up. We had to lay pillows at the door to stop it coming in. Maybe the smoking polices need to be revised.

Unfortunately there was a group of young lads that was using the pool area that was making a lot of noise that tunnelled straight into our unit that didn’t make it very pleasant to be there till late in the afternoon.

rubbish in the pool coke cans deflated pool toys, the pool cleaner wasn’t in use but still in pool and the hose was constantly getting tangled around kids when using slide , staff not greeting us upon arrival.

Easy convenient location , suitable for our weekend stay.. Shower water pressure great. Washing machine.

The window bars to stop the windows opening , gives a little bit of a unsafe vibe. We didn't feel this way during stay just the initial walk up.

Location was perfect as we attended a conference which was held just over the road. Management was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and had everything we needed in it. Was close to the Botanical Gardens which were lovely.

Local IGA located within walking distance and open 24/7. Good size rooms that cater for families or group of friends. Room has an Iron and ironing board, hair dryer, electric kettle, electric frying pan, microwave, large fridge, toaster, plates and utensils if you wanna store and cook your own meals. Free WI-FI with good connection.
