The manager and his partner were lovely. I had to call the main office at 7:30pm to ask for a dustpan and brush because my daughter had accidentally broken a glass cup, the manager came down within minutes and they didn't make me feel like I had been a 'bother' ringing that late. It was also nice having the little pool area for the kids. Which we took full advantage of for the 4 days we were there My girls also loved the cleaning ladies who were working throughout the rooms because they offered them biscuits everytime they saw each other, so the girls loved that. Its also a motel where you feel safe to let the kids play out the front of the room. Our room was right next to their laundry facility which came in handy having the 3 kids. Washing machine is $3 for a load and dryer was $4. But I used the clothes line they had out the back and the little dry rack. Having the laundry was one of the best features I've had when staying in accommodation somewhere.

My only 'dislike' was I would have loved for playground area to be a little updated/maintained. It wasn't horrible by any means, just needed some TLC when it came to the lawns. Wasn't an overgrown mess at all. Just playgrounds always look more inviting when the lawns are nice.

The lady who greeted us was lovely! For accomodation that was reasonably priced I was very impressed with the room, Netflix, laundry on site and cleanliness.

The neighbouring room was disruptive, domestic disturbances happening with arguing, slammed doors, lots of swearing etc - to be fair .. this was not the motels fault and it was dealt with when it got to be a big problem in the morning. It did put a downer on our stay though as I had three little boys.

Didn't have breakfast, but location was fantastic close to shops. airport. Staff super friendly, if we needed something nothing was a problem, in one of or rooms the aircon didn't work properly so we ended up with an upgrade at no extra charge. Would highly recommend this Motel and would stay there again on our next trip to Mackay.

The location and staff were very good

While we booked a room for 2A 3C (5,2,4mths) we asked for 2 portacots, these were made available which was fantastic and accommodating, but unfortunately with 3 single beds and a double bed, space was almost none once all were set up, but this is not the motels fault. They can't just remove beds out of rooms (we can only wish tho)

Where the motel was located and the room was nice

The air-conditioning in the room wasn't making the room cold was positioned inadequately only One cnr of the room was getting cold and the bed kept rolling away from the wall everytime we got up

Tropical Coast Motel were great. Nothing unexpected with the rooms, was bang on for a stop over in Mackay for the night. They also made arrangements for our trailer to keep it undercover and close to us. Thanks guys!

Family room was tucked away in the corner with great parking available. My 5 and 4 year olds loved the playground, pool and trampoline and enjoyed Netflix on the tv as well.

The only drama I had was that there was no cleaning items in the room (broom/dustpan) so when the kids walked sand into the place I couldn’t just quickly tidy without waiting to ask the cleaning staff when they were around.

It was all we needed, an overnight place to sleep and good place for car. We had been at a cycling competition and needed a place to sleep for the four of us. Helped with our late checkin. Good clear communication

Good location, best priced Motel in Mackay. Other guests were good (not partying like some motels I've stayed) along this stretch. Breakfast was nice.

Beds are a bit soft for me but @ 120kg a lighter person they are probably comfy. Black ants in room (kitchen area) but is very wet up here so understandable to have them.

The room had everything we needed. Just had to cross the road for a very nice meal at a hotel. Situated on the main road so easy in and easy out of the city.

No complaints.
