Great location. We needed to be near the Mackay Base Hospital, 5 minute drive away. Our room had a lovely courtyard to sit in. The room size was good. The air-conditionor was nice and quiet and worked well. There was a queen bed and a single bed. Our bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was well stocked, hand soap, body lotion and shaving cream. Shower has shampoo, conditioner and body wash in container pumps. Nice, hot, relaxing shower. There is a microwave, toaster and kettle in the room. Tea and coffee and milk provided. The reception staff were friendly. The continental breakfast included in the price was nice. Bread and spreads, cereals and milk, collected from reception. The room No. 28 was quiet, on the ground floor and had undercover parking at the door. Highly recommend and will use again if needed.

Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and well stocked.

The Motel provides a continental breakfast but the rooms don't have a sink big enough to wash the dishes in properly. Was disappointing the advertised Foxtel channels do not work. It is also right under the flight path so can be noisy.

Great location and great size and clean room with little outdoor area as well. Parking was also right outside the door which was perfect for us.

Only comment would be that the little table in the patio/outdoor area looked like it hadn't been wiped for a very long time as it was very dirty so we had to wipe it to have somewhere to sit and eat.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was included in the price and was great value for money. I certainly would stay there again next time I am in Mackay. The receptionist on arrival was very friendly and helpful. Had use of a washing machine and dryer. Everything was great. Would highly recommend.

Very clean and well appointed rooms. Lovely continental breakfast included in the price. Well located and staying at the motel gives you discounted meals at the excellent bowls club about half a block away. Always a great stay at this place.

Sometimes some dodgy people are in the street and venture into the motel grounds (happened twice to us). However, the area is well lit, and is under CCTV so no problems. Management are responsive when this was reported.

Comfortable for a night after a day driving. Beds comfortable, microwave handy. Basic breakfast included in price was convenient for an early start.

Blanket from cupboard smelled pretty musty, a few ants in room. Only one pillow each on beds, many people sleep with two.

family apartment was enormous and had plenty of space for the four of us with a well equipped full kitchen. While dated, the apartment was clean and comfortable.

unfortunately someone tried to steal our bikes locked onto our car overnight. We were quite naive about this having travelled most of Qld with no issues until Mackay. the premises did not have sufficient CCTV footage so we weren’t really able to follow this incident up

Continental breakfast was great

The person in the room next to mine sat outside his unit smoking in the morning. I was having a shower and the exhaust fan was sucking the nasty fumes into the bathroom. I had to turn off the exhaust fan. The bathroom was full of second hand smoke. I have a serious lung condition caused by second hand smoke.

Great value for money and the staff went above and beyond. Minor things could easily be overlooked because of their fantastic customer service. The beds were Comfortable and the rooms were a great size for a family with 3 kids. There was 2 TV's which was great. The breakfast was awesome and made our stay easier. We would definitely come back. Great location and walking distance to everything. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you for making our stay in Mackay comfortable and seamless.

We were very happy with the service and the ladies were wonderful. My only suggestion in the room would be something to wash the dishes eg a small packet of detergent and a cloth. The 2nd bedroom did smell a little bit musty but once the aircon was running and we aired it out a little was good. I was slightly worried about the balcony and little children so next time I would definitely ask for a floor level room.

Room 38 I believe is the best to book. Its actually a studio apartment with a separate kitchen. You can make full meals in there and there is a dining table there as well. The four of us slept comfortably on a queen bed and 2 single beds. The breakfast is to take with you when you check-in which enables an early departure - perfect if you're looking to drive up to whitsundays in the morning!
