My story is unique… I’ve got robbed not far from the motel. My pockets was picked. 3000 cash, all my cards and ID s.. all gone. When I mentioned my problem to the reception, Top spot motel management offered me a free night stay, so I could get my things sorted out. The offer took me by surprise, I literally cried. They kindness and hospitality was unbelievable. I don’t mention any names as all staff was very friendly and helpful towards me. I still can not be grateful enough for their service and offer! Respect to Top Spot Motel! It’s middle of Maroochydore, all shops, restaurants and the beach are just minutes of walk away! Every single day I give thanks for their kindness as I mentioned. The room was stocked extremely well. More than enough coffee, pillows, milk, personal hygiene supplies ect. There was plenty of space in the room for everyone one. A large sized fridge. Air conditioned. Lovely and quiet outside on our Sunday night stay. Staff happily catered to us arriving late with our baby. Large sized fridge in the room was very handy. Everything was nice and clean with exception to a few places or grout having been missed while cleaning in the shower. But overall very happy.

There was a lot of cooking equipment but no where to cook with. I was looking for a portable induction cook top or similar but couldn’t find one.

Tea and bickies were great! Floor was clean and was obviously freshly vacuumed. Everything was ready and waiting for us at the end of a long day of travel. After hours arrival directions were clear and concise. Unfortunately, we were not able to personally extend our appreciation due to having to be at the airport before 6:30am for a 7:30am flight. Thank you very much for your well-presented accommodation.

The only thing that was a bit of a problem was the jackhammer construction just down the road, however we were exhausted, and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you again!

We have stayed here a few times and it's always clean and tidy. It's in an excellent location as it's near Sunshine Plaza, Cinema, shopping and restaurants. Also a short walk to the beach. Staff are always nice to deal with. Once you find a park at the motel you don't need your car as you can walk everywhere.

Although this is a very old motel, probably one of the first in the Maroochydore area, it is a nostalgic place to stay. Reminds me of Route 66 motel accommodation - not necessarily in a bad way! We were in one of the budget rooms and parking wasn't just outside the room but only a 30 second walk to the room, so not a big issue.

As an older person travelling alone, with a hire car and heavy luggage , plus multiple bits and pieces, I found the top spot to be exactly that for my comfort needs and convenience. No fancy door codes to remember, no lifts to negotiate , no trip hazards and no need for lugging everything into the room or worrying about vehicle security when it is all right there at the door. The location was easy to find and so very easy to park . The staff were obliging and friendly and the unit was sparkling clean and provided a very workable mini kitchen, a very comfortable couch, table setting and bed. As well as an outside setting. Right in the middle of the town with walking access to shops and eateries. I felt this motel was a wonderfully preserved piece of history from an era when convenience and client comfort were premium . And at a very affordable price. I would recommend it to any traveller as far more geared to their comfort than the impersonal and expensive alternatives in this beautiful area. Well done. Marie Thompson.

The room was completely adequate for me. It was very clean; the bathroom and kitchen were clean with all necessary requirements. The bed was good, and I have a sore back, so the mattress is very important to me. I went for a walk on a couple of evenings and felt safe and was able to access food outlets easily.

There was a little noise at night but this is not a problem for me

This was perfect for our family reunion where interstate family joined together. The accessibility was wonderful for my elderly mother. The shower was perfect and the staff couldn’t have done more for us. Rooms were beautifully air conditioned and it was perfect to have different cooled temperatures to suit different family members. We will be returning again and again.

This was our second time staying here. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only small issue we had was a bad smell from the bathroom drain. Putting some bicarb, vinegar down the drain will eliminate the smell. Just a tip for the cleaners. The reception staff was very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent in order to get around Maroochydore for its food and shopping etc. The room was very clean. The only thing is i could mention is that the door lock slide needs to be fixed on the main door, its coming away from the door and cannot be used (i forgot to tell you when i left !!) but did not hinder the security of the room...

There is a car park behind the fence of our bedroom at the back of the complex and sometimes could hear the kids coming and going at night as they are off to the nearby nightclub/pub.....but nothing major.

The staff or the owner Ali was super froendly. And everything including the after hour check in was nicely organised. Room was nice and tidy. And the location was just perfect. What impressed me was the Bundaberg introduction book they made, with tourist spots and restaurant flyer menu. Satisfied everything of Top Spot Motel and really appreciate all their work.

Nothing really. If so, it would have been better if there was shampoo. But it is just a small thing thanks!
