The Villas Palm Cove

It was perfectly located to palm cove. We were in a 3 brm villa with small children but still plenty of space.

Everything was perfect until our friend cut his foot badly on a brittle piece of a part of the pool. He just stood on it and it cracked. Even that didn’t concern us until after we left we were charged for the replacement of it. We felt it was just wear and tear the part had aged and became brittle. But we still had to pay. Put a real damper on our holiday and ruined it in the end. We will now think twice about visiting again.

On arrival we were greeted by Kevin and as last year, he couldn't have been more helpful. Having stayed at the property on numerous occasions over the years, our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. The Unit we were allocate was clean, spacious and well appointed with everything we needed for our 10 day stay. The backyard pool was clean and well kept, which made it a pleasure to jump into. We will definitely be returning.

Garage was a little tight for my Toyota Prado, but I did manage to squeeze the car in and this did not impact out stay. Just pointing this out for information. I think it would be difficult to get a Landcruiser into this space.

We stayed in villa 6 which was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a nice sized pool in a very private courtyard. The complex was very quiet and peaceful and the whole area was well maintained. Kevin the manager was very helpful and obliging.

We stayed at the villas in July and found them a comfortable 15 minute walk from the beachfront and restaurants. In hotter weather however this might feel like a longer walk, especially for little children or elderly people. The garage at the villa was a pretty tight fit for a medium sized car however there was street parking right outside the back gate of the villa if you drive a larger vehicle.

Lovely large comfortable living area. Had dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. We had unit 23 which was perfect for two couples as there was bedroom with ensuite upstairs and bedroom downstairs with ensuite plus a guest bathroom downstairs. There was also another bedroom downstairs. Our daughter, husband and 2 children had Unit 18 which was perfect for them, plus not far from us. The living rooms comfortably fit the 8 of us for family dinners. The private pools were a bonus. Kevin was a good host who was quietly going about his business but very happy to help. The units were very clean and the sheets and towels were very good quality. Highly recommend for families and also couples.

This is our 3rd time in 20 years staying at The Villas Palm Cove. The unit was clean, well appointed with all that we needed for our 9 day stay. Comfortable lounge dining area, the master bedroom had an exceptionally comfortable bed, ample room in the wardrobe with cooling by fan and refrigerated air-conditioning throughout. Laundry facilities in the unit makes it extremely convenient for longer stays. The kitchen has everything you might need should you wish to cook and eat in. The private pool was clean and a fair size, sadly due to the cooler weather we only got to use the pool once. Extra bonus was the lock up garage.

While the lock garage was a nice bonus, for the Prado it was a little tight but was still able to get the car in a make use of protecting the vehicle. Had I had a sedan or mid size vehicle, this would have been perfect. Not a criticism of the property, this is an observation only. Standard size Toyota Prado will fit, just a little tight.

We absolutely loved Palm Cove Villas! We arrived after hours but keys and introductory info were organised and ready for our late arrival. Everything exceeded our expectations and the only problem was our 4-night stay was not long enough. Even the car had its own garage. A very peaceful location. We loved having our own private pool to relax in. It is an easy walk to Palm Cove from here, or you can take the car if your not feeling energetic.

Having a private pool was great. Plenty of space and home comforts to make for a great place to stay. Villas have a full kitchen, laundry, private garage and a further bonus was the offer to put away our Coles delivery for when we arrived. Close enough to walk to the main strip of shops, cafes, resturants and bars. Returning guests and we will return again.

Not a lot not to like. We have stayed here before. If I was being picky, this villa did have a little bit of road noise. Not over the top but noticed the noise compared to the previous other villa we had stayed in. We will return again.

Second time staying here. Love the size, parking, pool. It’s great to be able to do laundry for free throughout the trip. It’s nothing fancy but perfect for someone wanting space and privacy. Beds were comfy, there’s AC. Each room had its own bathroom/shower, so didn’t need to share with friends.

Only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. I think for a 6 night stay they could have provided some extra. You can purchase for $1 at reception. No other concerns

We had our own private pool which was very convenient, especially when travelling with young children. Kevin, the property manager was very helpful and easy to contact. Our location meant we were only 7 minutes walk to main street, and only 1 minute to bus stop into Cairns.

Unfortunately the traffic noise was bad on a couple of occasions due to location ( out of control of the accommodation ). Our beds were not great - this was a mutual thought of all 6 adults in our party. Our outdoor, undercover space was a little cramped for 6 adults and two children.

A good amount of kitchen utensils, crockery & glassware for a family. Comfortable beds & linen Excellent location. Good sized fridge/freezer

Air conditioning units on patio made it uncomfortably hot so unable to utilise this space when we visited. Property is a bit dated especially the kitchen and washing machine.
