SunPalms Motel

We stopped by the bar/bistro for a drink and dinner. The eye fillet steak was cooked to perfection plus we had a serve yourself selection of sides including, mashed potatoes, chips, vegetables and salad. It was excellent value. Our stay was a stop over on our way south so we opted for no onsite breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities were adequate. Wine glasses were handy too. We thought it might be noisy being close to the main road but it was extremely quiet. We had a great night sleep. Staff were very friendly and check-in and check-out very smooth.

I had trouble getting consistent water temperature in the shower (just a minor issue overall)

Close to everything I needed. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rooms are larger than most motels I have stayed at in Rockhampton. Well worth the money. Laundry and restaurant on-site. Restaurant has good choice of meals. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Always my go to accommodation when I'm in Rockhampton.

Inconsiderate noise from neighbouring unit on the Saturday night - loud talking outside their unit in the early hours of the morning for over an hour.

The motel had all the amenities we required, lots of space, was on the main road, close to Aldi for groceries and had a bistro with great food.

There could have been more bowls, plates and cutlery for patrons to have breakfast since there was already had a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge.

The room is large. Meals are excellent and staff are friendly.

Carpark area needs to be cleaned with a blower to prevent walking leaves etc inside. Need one or two car parks for mini bus or trailer because when they park it is difficult to get my car out.

Location was easy to find, wasn't noisy as situated on highway Meal served in restaurant was good homely meals Staff excellent, willing to do anything for you.

Just a suggestion, to have breakfast available would be a big plus as was staying for one night as had a hospital appointment.

Only downfall was there was no wi-fi. I was told it was because there were issues with Telstra

Great value for money, lots of space and good clean rooms. Across the road from Aldi so super handy

We stayed in a family room and although there was a microwave and toaster there were no plates or cutlery.

Staff friendly, received an early check-in, very neat and tidy. All rooms are on ground level. Affordable. Room 9 had the most comfortable bed ever.

The doorway from bedroom to walk in robe is only just wide enough to get my wheelie walker through. If anyone has a wider walker (with kickout back wheels) just note you may need to ask for the wheelchair friendly room.

great to have a bar and dinner on the site at good prices for home cooked meals ,Beds are comfortable ,rooms are a great size with everything you need.
