Great value for money. It was a shame I couldn’t try the Thai restaurant everyone is raving about as I ran late although they do offer to leave it in your room (I just didn’t want it cold). Great communication & easy check in for after hours. Very clean and fresh (don’t be put off by the exterior building, the rooms were clean and very tidy). Super comfy bed and shower blows you away with the pressure 🤩

Honestly there isn’t really anything to complain about. If I had to be picky I would say that the pillows were far too high although I had bought my own pillow so it didn’t bother me. An earlier breakfast would’ve been nice also as a lot of people like to be on the road before 6am. I would definitely stay again given the price bracket. You get more than you pay for with this place.

Loved the breakfast.opens at 6am. Great choice of light breakfast foods. Amazing too that its not noisy and yet be close to shopping centres , and railway was almost $ 10 by taxi. Generous Amount of teas n coffee Staff very helpful.

While I loved being up stairs it may be hard for some seniors so remember to book down on ground floor. Im a solo traveller.and always feel safe theres nothing I didn't like I also kept in mind this is not a brand new motel and self serve breakfast included is a great. Plus.

Value for money. Free breakfast. Close to the Railway Station and Botanic Garden & Zoo. When I reported lights missing in the room, it was promptly dealt with. Possible to have a late check-in (important if you are travelling by train, as I was). I stayed twice - one room had full kitchen facilities, hotplate etc., the other didn't, so check the room details, if that's important to you.

No real outside seating space - but it's a City Motel. Far too many messages promoting the Thai cuisine available.

Really like the access to this motel. Have stayed a number of times. Could be put off by the exterior. Really needs some tender loving care our room was clean and comfortable. On highway but very quiet in rooms. Can't comment on staff. There isn't any. Arrive to everyone's name on a sheet of paper with their appropriate key and room number laid out for all and sundry.

Lack of staff ( some grotty fellow wandering around) Only guessing he had something to do with motel.Outside areas really need some work done.

We stayed one night driving from Townsville to Brisbane. The room and bathroom were large and clean, the room had a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities, comfy beds and a good hot shower. What more could you possibly ask for that cost under $100 a night? Plenty of hotels and motels in Rockhampton but for the price and location this was perfect for what we needed. We booked through Booking.com and our key was available immediately at reception making check in very quick. There is also a free breakfast but we had to be up and out early and didn’t use this facility.

Last minute booking later in the evening and the manager was very courteous and I liked the fact that the Thai restaurant attached to motel was one which allowed you to order up until later than most and they also delivered it to my room quite promptly. The breakfast in the mornings is good also

No pool and no shady outside area to smoke. No allocated car spaces and spots were very narrow which makes it difficult to get luggage in and out if you are using side doors.

The room was very neat & tidy with a fabulous Rain Shower Head in the modern clean shower. The bottles of Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash were a lovely touch in the modern/clean Shower/Toilet area, I also loved the Lindor chocolates in the Fridge & some ice in the Freezer. This room was perfect for what we paid, great value.

The kitchen area had no sink or wash up area, had to was up in the bedroom, the TV was also in this area with a 2 seater sofa, (not very comfortable) the only seating except for 2 stools. After travelling from Rockhampton there was nowhere that we could just sit & relax watching TV with our feet up to reduce swelling, we personally would have prefered the TV in the bedroom where the Air Conditioner also was. However for the money it was perfect.

Excellent value for money. The motel is old fashioned but clean and tidy. The included breakfast was appreciated and a pleasant surprise as to what was on offer. Central location and everything you need for a short stay.

Beds are a very personal preference. My daughter thought it was too firm but I thought it was comfortable. My only negative would be the tiny car spaces - a little tricky when the place is full but there is street parking if that's a real issue.

The Q motel is my “go to” place to stay in Rockhampton. It’s in a good location, charges fair rates, has good free breakfast and a handy onsite Thai restaurant. The owners seem to be slowly working their way through the rooms and bringing them up to standard. WiFi was good in this room.

The room we stayed in this time is obviously one of the ones still to be renovated. Shortage of power points near the beds. Only one bedside lamp, poor water pressure and weird issues with the bathroom sink. Also the air conditioner was struggling to cool the room effectively.

We had room 12 on the ground floor right at the back away from traffic noise. Huge, clean family room with a kitchen, fridge, tv and aircon. Bathroom was large as well with a shower (no bath). Great value for money as breakfast was included and there was a wide variety. You help yourself between 6:30 and 8:30am. You also check yourself in and out of your room (no-one on the front desk, so not sure what you would do if you needed to check in after hours). We didn't try the Thai as we walked to the Allenstown Hotel for dinner, but it smelt amazing. We will stay there again on our way home and definitely try the Thai for dinner!
