Atmosphere, originality , staff friendliness and efficiency, location

When we entered the room, we were greeted with a wonderful view of the parklands and cathedral. The tv was on with a personalised welcome message, and the room smelt fresh and clean; The provided tablet was also personalised, which was also a pleasant surprise. The room provides plenty of opportunity to just close the door when you arrive and then stay in your own little bubble if you so wish. The digital setup allows you to make contact with room service without the need to call and speak to someone and the television has a chromecast attached so you can use your phone to connect to your own streaming services. The rooms are reasonably soundproof, we heard no voices/sounds for the neighbour rooms but we did hear every time our neighbour stomped back and forth in their room. The food was satisfyingly tasty and arrived in the room hot.

The mattress was a little softer than we would normally prefer, but nothing unbearable. There was a tapping noise, sounded like a door lock sound, that came from the hallway on random occasions, which was a little irritating but I don't think I heard it more than once or twice while I slept. The automatic blinds didn't have an option to partially open, so when you open them in the morning, it gets very bright very quickly. Breakfast wouldn't let me order without selecting the gluten-free option in dietary, so we got gluten-free bread instead of the brioche that was supposed to come with it but it was still tasty.

Very close to CBD, but much nicer to be in the lovely parkland setting of the hotel. Good facilities in rooms, such as coffee maker, lights, curtains etc. digitally controlled by tablet, you can book taxis through it too, very helpful. The bar is pleasant, and we really enjoyed eating outdoors on the terrace, with that fantastic view of the Oval. Even got to see a game being played. Didn't eat in the restaurant itself, only from bar menu, but other guests commented to us on how good the food was.

There is traffic noise, as the roads around the parkland are busy, but no problem with sleeping at night.

The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful especially the night concierge M. He was fantastic, happy to help despite the late hour of our arrival. Our room had two separate and gorgeous views - city and catherdral. It was quiet and clean. The room had an extra bed as requested and the room and bathroom were spacious. All the beds and pillows - heaven, so comfortable like sleeping on a cloud. And coffee machine and guest bathrobes a plus. Room service and food exceptional. Loved the automatic curtains, lighting and movies on demand etc. Location - easy and pretty walk to WCH and Rundle Mall. And the leisure centre access was fantastic too. Easiest parking in Adelaide.

Breakfast was great. Location is excellent. Very proud of our City. The view of the Cathedral is very special.

The only thing i didnt like was the clunky way of ordering room service. You couldnt go back and order a drink. To arrive in an Uber style paper bag and in cardboard boxes was not very nice. We ordered desert and the picture showed icecream but it didnt come with icecream. I did order a coke zero as welll and it didnt arrive with the food. HOwever, these are very small criticisms, we love the oval. Disappointed the fried rice wasnt on the menu as last time it was the bom diggity.

A fabulous hotel situated within the iconic Adelaide Oval complex. The staff were caring & efficient. Our room was a generous size even with the bed separated into singles. Beautiful garden views on one side & the wonderful Adelaide Oval on the other. The food in the casual dining area was delicious & catered for my dietary requirements. Breakfast with views of Adelaide Oval was delicious. An easy walk to the shopping area, art gallery, museum, library etc. Public trains, trams & buses are also close by. A guided tour of the Adelaide Oval is a must. We will be back.

Loved the hotel itself, the location, design, novelty of being in the stadium. Good location. Facilitated our late check out request. Clean rooms, great bed, also good to see a mini bar in the room. Complimentary drink on arrival. Cool views from room and restaurant.

The service from staff and food doesn't match the rest of the hotel. Priced for high end without the corresponding quality unfortunately. Complementary shuttle service into town is not always staffed (so we were told), so call up the day before (to get someone else in) if you'd like this (which was not mentioned when checking in).

The size of the bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect, rarely do you get a hotel room that is as spacious. I loved the long windows and electric blinds. The beds and pillows were sooo comfortable, the best sleep I have had in ages! My husband chose a different pillow from the pillow menu and it was delivered within minutes to our room!!

The view in the breakfast room was amazing , the breakfast was delicious, the staff were really friendly and responsive, but I still felt that it was a little lacking, the menu was not inspiring considering the extra cost, my local cafe does a more interesting menu much cheaper. I love hotel breakfasts as you are full all day and you can have fruit, yoghurt, bacon , eggs , little pastries, toast and jam if you choose, but here you are confined to choosing 1 item.

I loved the structuring of the hotel into the iconic Adelaide Oval and the fact that the breakfast room had a view of the actual oval. The location, of course, was perfect for my attendance at Womadelaide with a short walk along the Torrens.

My only whinge (a minor one at that) was starting up the television (I had to watch the Test Match between Australia and New Zealand!) -it kept turning itself off and sometimes took up to 10 goes to get it to stay on the channel I wanted....

we live in outback Queensland and were coming to visit family is SA, my husband follows the crows and hadn't been to a home game in 18+ years. I searched Adelaide for accommodation that wasn't far from the Adelaide oval and found nothing suitable that included onsite parking. Then the oval accommodation come up on screen fitting what I was looking for. I thought bugger it doesn't know when we will get back to see another Adelaide Crows home game. It just made the whole experience wonderful.
