Easy access when coming from/ to the airport. Spacious room. Staff very friendly. Food offerings were amazing. A great range of pub style food with a good range and generous servings. The prices were also really low with many mains options as low as $20.00 and up to $30.00. Plus, if you are staying in house you get 15% discount off these prices. ( If you are a senior, even one from outside Australia, there are even more deals.) We stayed for two stays of 3 nights each and dined in all six nights, even though we initially didn't plan to.

There is still some refreshing needed in some of the rooms, but I would definitely stay there again.

We liked the location which was not very far from excellent cafes and restaurants. The restaurant catered good quality food. We ate there every night after our sightseeing tours. The restaurant staff were very courteous and helpful.

We missed not having breakfast. The staff had provided keys because the hotel doors closed at 9 pm however the key were in a lockup which was difficult to open because the numbers were very small and difficult to read. Fortunately there was someone available who opened the doors for us.

Location was good and room was fairly well cleaned and maintained. Services provided were also good. We checked in late and checked out early so hardly met with staff but it was well arranged with next door hotel & bar staff. who were very helpful and supportive. Enough car parking outside. In house restaurant with good menu, discount for hotel guests and room servile were all good stuff.

Absence of a microwave in the room was not helpful. Though enough parking was there, it was mostly taken up by restaurant patrons till late so hotel guests could park some meters away; when checking in and out in taking luggage, this is messy. Hairdryer was cut in half by electrical wire and removed. This was not welcome as initially we thought we might get suspected of stealing it, which was not there anyway.

We got a good deal on our king suite which was comfortable enough. The shower was hot and had good pressure. This was the only hotel in three weeks of travel in Tassie which had a non-slip mat. The discount voucher for the restaurant was a bonus and the meals were really good. The staff members were very helpful and pleasant. Parking was good and the location is good too.

A comfy chair or two would be nice. The dining chairs are not really a comfortable way to watch TV. There is no lift so be aware - apparently you need to request a ground floor room which is difficult if you're a first time visitor. There was only one bedside table which was a bit odd. These were minor issues and didn't detract from our general experience.

We left an Apple Pencil (expensive iPad stylus) on my daughter's bed and only realised when we were too far away to turn around as we would have missed the Ferry back to the mainland. Called reception and they put it in Express Post for us that afternoon. Well above and beyond anything they would need to do. Cannot express my gratitude for this. Hotel was clean, comfy, 5 minutes from City Centre, has a restaurant and my daughter loved that if she ate the biscuits each day they'd be re-stocked -> "infinite biscuit hack" according to her ;-) Would totally recommend for friendliness and level of care to their visitors.

Simple accommodation that gives you everything that you need. Close to North Hobart. Lot of choices for restaurants. Easy parking. I wish I had dinner there but I saw many patrons in the restaurant - so I was wondering: are they good for meals too? The room is quiet despite being a pub hotel. (maybe due to the location of our room from the pub area?). Good water pressure.

Nothing really - if any: I would love to have a two single beds room instead of a double bed but I can't see that at the time of booking. I am not sure if they have a lift (if you can't handle the stairs)

The room was spacious and included a large private bathroom with a large shower, mirror over the basin and ample bench space for toiletries. The towels were new, large and soft, as were the hand towels, face washers and bath mat. In the main room I enjoyed sleeping in the the queen bed with comfortable pillows, there was a small table and chairs, kettle and toaster, ample supplies of tea, coffee and milk, Arnott’s biscuits, all of which were replenished daily. I dined every night at the restaurant that offered a room discount and Seniors meal deals. The meals and drinks menu was extensive and the meals large and delicious. Very good value. I heard no traffic or other noise from my room which enabled a good night’s sleep. The Black Buffalo has a bottle shop next door should you need it and is close to public transport. I used Uber to reach the city and waterfront paying less than $10 a ride.

The hallway and carpet outside the rooms could be refreshed but a minor issue.

We loved everything about this hotel, the staff were absolutely amazing and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The room was very clean, safe and was cleaned everyday. Not much to fault about this hotel.

The only thing to fault about this hotel was the water pressure of the shower. It was a bit too strong and left our skin a bit red. Other than that, the hotel was perfect and would recommend to everyone.

Very efficient staff. Smooth check in process. Free parking. Spacious room. Comfotable bed. Great location if you're off to State Cinema and north of Elizabeth Street strip. Great value for money. Would stay again. Actually, we will be staying again😉See you in mid November!

Nothing could have been better. It's inexpensive and of very good value for what you pay. That's why I'll be staying here again.

The lady in the bar where we checked in ( I should have asked her name) was wonderful, so friendly and helpful. We were early to arrive and we were given a ticket so we could leave our car parked outside while we went out . A little walk into the centre which was fine and overall good value for a nights stay ( good size room ) and right next to the main road out to the airport..

Nothing really. If I'm being picky the shower over the bath could be updated .
