The room was delightful. Loved having the lounge area to sit and relax. Bathroom was clean and roomy and appreciated the quality of the toiletries. King bed was very comfortable.
Wasn't anything I didn't like. I do want to add that Hobart being such an old city, knowing and appreciating the history of the building would be good recognised. It would have been interesting to know the history of the building without having to search the web. I did ask and was given a sheet on the building, so understand it was the former institute for the blind, deaf and dumb. Having that information available in the foyer or in the 'About' area on the web, as well as other the tool used to teach braille etc is an important reminder for all. Plus shows how as a society we are doing many (I hope) things better for those who may not be as fortunate as us, particularly in the past. Otherwise, I will certainly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Hobart.

The room was always clean and items topped up each day (bathroom, tea/coffee etc), our view over the cricket ground and the city to the sea was perfect. The staff were always super helpful and friendly. Although we didn’t get to use the pool due to the shortness of our visit it was cleaned each day and very inviting..it took about 20 minutes to walk into town and thankfully it was all downhill! The breakfast was perfectly cooked, plentiful and varied and the chef would come in with refills and have a chat each morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Our only small gripe would be our bed. It was not uncomfortable but seemed to be made up of two separate mattresses, one single and one double and where they met the edges were noticeable! It made for a super sized bed though!

The bed was very comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the building. The food for breakfast was very tasty and fresh. The room cost more than I would usually pay, (although still reasonable) but due to booking mix-up at another hotel I was left without a room, so I was very appreciative that they accommodated an early check in of 12.30pm, as it made things so much easier for me. Much appreciated!
I couldn't find an itinerary in the room. Room service was available to order via phone, but I had no idea what was available and at what price. I did receive a map after check in, but the writing was very small so I had no idea where some amenities were.

Good location. Beautiful historical building with lovely character. Great bathroom, nice and clean and shampoo, conditioner and body wash were really nice.
Warmer bedding needed, additional blankets would have been good, we were quite cold and needed to sleep with heater on. Only had the thinnest, very worn out doona and a sheet. Pillows were quite uncomfortable. Kitchenette super basic. A sharp knife and chopping board and decent coffee mugs would have made it more traveller friendly.

Ridges Hobart was very charming, our suite was extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. We loved the spaciousness, and the lovely views. The bed was awesome, and bathroom nice and modern. The location was great, in walking distance to restaurants/cafes. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous in general. Parking was freely available and we loved seeing the electric car charging spots as well. A wonderful find in Hobart! We will re-visit and will highly recommend.
All the staff were so courteous barring a rather grumpy/unsmiling and somewhat rude male service person in the restaurant. He was the only person who seemed to be an unhappy person there!

The room was clean and tidy and had all you need for a weekend stay. The bathroom was large with good water pressure and the hotel also provided in-shower 'Thank you' products. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was great!
I will firstly state that we had a great stay and liked our apartment. The apartment consisted of 2 rooms, one with a sofa bed and sitting area and the other room was the bedroom, with the bathroom attached. Personally I would have liked the rooms switched as the bedroom had the lovely view while the lounge was very dark with no view. We ended up sitting around on the beds as this was the nicest room to be in, with the afternoon sun coming through the windows. Also the morning sun lit up the bedroom too early and the outside light also made the room light at night. Given the room had outside entry to both rooms, it just makes sense to switch them.

The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious.
The layout and furniture were odd. There were two rooms, separated by a generous bathroom. One room had a coffee table, couch and two bucket chairs; the other room had a large bed, a side table (Not usable as a desk) and a bucket chair. There was no table, desk, or chair, so there was nowhere to work or have a meal. I ended up using the ironing board with the bucket chair to do my work. The air con was only in the bedroom so the lounge room was cold.

Rooms very clean and excellent view looking back towards hobart city centre. A walk into city centre takes about half hour depending on your capabilities but lovely to take in the charm and history of the area. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
My room was directly above one of the downstairs function rooms and on the friday night the noise was not welcoming. very loud even had to turn the tv up. its an old building so the noise carried easily. Would have been unbearable if you wanted to go to sleep and have an early night. It did eventually quieten down. No tour operators picked up from this accommodation hence the walk into town.

Good location, comfortable bed, warm room, because it very important if you stay during the cold period. Hotel was very clean, room also was tidy and clean. We loved beautiful heritage building of the hotel. 20 minutes walk from the city centre. In general it was good comfortable stay.
We got different room what we booked, same rate but different style. Staff offered to change the room, but it wasn’t the same that we wanted to stay anyway. Breakfast wasn’t included to our price, we booked 1 month in advance, but at the moment of our stay price for our room was lower and included the breakfast. So I mentioned it to the staff and asked add free breakfast to our stay off possible because we paid more. They couldn’t do it, because we didn’t book directly with them. We booked with booking.com, however, in booking.com they had this offer with low price and included breakfast. It was a bit disappointing for us. Restaurant doesn’t operate on Sundays.

The old building was majestic. Rooms big and spacious. Really liked the distance between first room & bedroom. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. It was very quiet. The heater in the room was more than adequate to keep it warm. Plenty of parking and signage out the front was excellent.
The bed was far too soft for us both and the pillows hard. We were able to fall asleep but it was not a sound sleep. Partly our fault as we could have approached reception and asked for a harder mattress. For a 4.2 star you may consider replacing the broken floor tiles on bathroom floor in room 43 and the small leak from the shower corner near toilet. These are just observations.
