Beautiful original room in the tower

The chandelier could have been cleaned and light bulbs replaced also maybe a comfy chair I have been staying here for years not much has changed

Expected a standard motel room and we were delighted to be given a very large 2 bedroom place in the old section of the hotel. Daily room service was amazing and dirty dishes changed. Plenty of space and a guest laundry to do some washing.

The main bed was not fixed and moved around at the slightest pressure. Drainage in the shower needed attention as it was very slow. To avoid overflowing you needed to stop the shower 2-3 times. No plates provided, just bowls.

We liked how quiet the accomodation was. Very easy to get around town and find restaurants etc... Definitely an ideal location for everything we wanted to see and do. We liked how simple checking in and out was also.

Shampoo / conditioner- these could have maybe been slightly better quality going off other places we have stayed and what they offer. Optional daily cleaning - We do love the daily clean and reset of the apartment, but I think an option to put on the door “do not disturb” or something would have been nice as we only stayed 2 nights and we like our privacy. But the cleaning was done really well and we liked having fresh towels etc.

I wasn't expecting much as I'd stayed there over 20 years ago on a trip and it was pretty daggy and the staff were quite rude. But it was very different this time, a very affordable rate, I've had to extend my stay by a week and was given a better rate - it's a larger complex than we thought and we're locals. The room is spacious, a tad dated, it had a kitchenette (microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and a sink for easy washing up), separate toilet and bathroom, a dining table and a futon couch. It was flat, really. Daily room servicing which I didn't expect, standard size towels, but good ones. While the rooms aren't fancy, they're very clean and tidy, have RC aircon, a decent TV, Wifi can be a bit iffy, helpful staff, plenty of off street parking, and usually quiet even though it's parallel with the Brooker Hwy. IGA is walking distance, also easy access for online food ordering, and bus stops very close to get to town or head out North. They're in the process of tarting it up, the paint work and colours make it very neat. There is a laundry with one washing machine and dryer you can use in office hours. The Tower itself is interesting if you like a bit of history, with great views of The Stick (kunanyi/Mt Wellington) and the town centre. It must have been a magnificent residence in its day. A row of rooms out the front, rooms inside the premises and two x 2 storey blocks of rooms out the back. I'd stay here again, very reasonable rates for the area if you're looking for a comfy clean bed, a good shower and plenty of parking.

Nothing really, though curtains on the windows would be good for privacy when the wooden venetians blinds are open to let natural light in. Perhaps a bigger fridge for this particular room.

The staff were really helpful, as we did a bit of hiking and needed laundry racks to dry clothes. They also stored bags for us quite a few times as ended up staying here in Hobart 5 nights of our 16 day holiday in Tasmania. I liked the ornate architecture of the area and closeness to Elizabeth Street restaurants. If you have not got a car, buses are frequent or a 25 minute walk into the city area.

Green tea bags would be good

Motel is centrally located, recently refurbished and excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and housekeeping refreshed rooms daily if required. I had views of both the Derwent and the mountain and found the city so easily accessible from this location with the main highway north and south virtually at my doorstep yet the room was so quiet. Also found the history of this establishment and the climb to the original tower with its 360 degree views of Hobart well worthwhile.

Found the room the staff and the location all great value for money.

Clean rooms, rooms huge compared to other motels I've stayed at. Staff helpful and friendly. Multiple bus routes nearby into CBD. Microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge. Onsite laundry (self serve coin laundry). Bed was Queen size (good for people 184cm tall like he). It was also just right (not soggy soft but not hard as a rock). There was even a spare single (think king single) if I would have had kiddo with me.

Some noisy guests but even they quietened down by 10pm!

The rooms had plates, toaster, fridge, microwave, plenty of storage and a big bed. If you are of a larger size yourself (or have lots of luggage) you may think things cramped...but be positive and give thanks for all the benefits. Nice view, plenty of fresh air and easy to get about (we had a car) and they make up the rooms with milk tea towels etc each day. Free parking too. We did get our own breakfast as that seems the preferred option.

The facilities were top class for a motel. Daily cleaning service and fresh towels every day. Customer Service was par excellence and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. I was given a room in the main building which made me feel safe. The motel was clean and tidy and my room had all the amenities from a microwave, to a kettle, to crockery, some cutlery and even a tea towel. The room was fit for purpose and the bed very comfortable. I give it 5 stars and recommend it very highly.

It's 2 kms from the cbd which means that if you don't have a car you will.need to use uber and factor in an extra $22 per day for travel. Not a big deal however just wanted travellers to be aware of it.

Hobart Tower Motel, is a very affordable, clean, comfortable and quiet motel to stay in and is a short bus ride into the city serviced by many bus lines, or is in walking distance as well. Its a fantastic place to stay. Parking on site as well. It is centrally located to the Royal Botanical Gardens and a well stocked IGA Supermarket. I walked into town on Elizabeth Street and it had many shops and eateries most of the way into the city centre. I had a wonderful stay here.
