A lovely renovation of an old building. The room was lovely, high ceilings, comfortable and light. Great shower!! Very comfortable bed and lovely soft pillows. Wonderful simple and fresh breakfast. Lots of choices from cereal, muesli and yoghurt to croissants, toast and toasties too.

I'm not sure if I could have turned the light off outside - balcony. I couldn't get the room totally dark - I was so tired though it didn't matter too much.

With exceptions as noted in next box, the hotel was great - it was good to be able to speak by telephone to actual people and most particularly, the prompt mailing of the purse which I had unfortunately left behind in the room,; most grateful! The Victorian elegance of the place was lovely, and the buffet breakfast excellent.

The PIN code entry took a bit of getting used to, especially making sure all the family members had theirs. The bedside lighting was too harsh. In one of the rooms, the hot water took so long my daughter texted me in alarm.

I love everything about this place this is such a beautifully restored piece of history the continental breakfast offers more than other places the staff are all ready and willing to assist with inquiries it’s an easy walk into town or along the river it’s where I have stayed many times as I visit with family the locals all speak highly of the Riversleigh when we mention it’s where we are staying I could go on but I’m sure you have picked up my high opinion of this place

If you don’t like old buildings with creaky floor boards or that most of the rooms are upstairs perhaps this is not the place for you

Beautiful heritage building, recently renovated and restored to a high level. Great location just around the corner from the main road and all the shops and cafes. Across the road from the Mitchell River and it’s walking track. Lovely large room with comfortable bed.

Missed seeing a receptionist at the front desk to greet us and explain things. Hot water took 5-10 minutes to come through in the shower. Otherwise beautiful room and very comfortable.

This boutique hotel was well appointed and in a great location. Everything was taken care of in the room presentation. Our room was a standard size with a large double bed, and a continental breakfast was included in our price. A good range of breakfast items were presented. Check-in instructions were completed via phone messaging. The instructions were very clear and there were no problems. Off-street parking is provided, and signage to rooms is clear.

Next time I'll book a room with a queen bed.

Great rooms and very good breakfast (though I think the bread may have been a bit stale on Sunday). Charming building.

If you are looking at the photos on their web site, ignore the pictures of the lovely bar and lounge facilities. The bar was not open once in the three days we were there, and the lounge only open at breakfast time. This was really disappointing given how nice these were.

My room was upstairs and had a lovely view of the river and surrounds. It was very clean and neat. Great TV. Breakfast was continental and well set out. (Available on day 2) Check in went smoothly even though it was not in person. Text message was accurate on how what to do on arrival.

Breakfast was unavailable on the first morning due to a medical issue with a staff member. No one else was available to open up the breakfast area so I needed to get breakfast elsewhere. The balcony area needed attention. I believe the new owners are working on bringing the establishment back to it former status.

This hotel is so beautiful, each room is sophistically decorated and each bedroom has everything you need. The bed was huge and so comfortable.

We loved everything. We didn’t see a single staff member (apart from one replenishing breakfast), so it felt a little impersonal in comparison to other places we have stayed, and breakfast was limited. However, neither of those things diminished the stay, they are more observational than critical.

Amazing accommodation with stylish rooms in a beautiful historical building with modern touch. Own Parking next to the building. Close to City Center. Late check in possible because of keycodes for the rooms. Due to old building no elevators (but not a problem).

The Breakfast could have been a little bit more extensive (e.g. different cheese, ham, vegetables) but quality was good.

Love the decor in the public spaces. Garden was lovely, even though it was cold and raining, we enjoyed the grounds and had a lovely window view. Breakfast was easy and well-laid out. Bed was very comfy and room was spacious. Short walk to shops and restaurants.

Rooms could be updated to match the restaurant areas.
