Beechworth Carriage Motor Inn

Position & Location within the town amazing. Short walk to Bilson's Brewery and Beechworth Bakery. Has a lovely lake not too far of a drive away in the town. Kids didn't use accommodation pool as there was debris at the bottom of the pool, possibly of the local Elm trees. Parking is great be even better if people stick to the ones directly outside their room. Has everything you need within a stay and coffee pod machines which is a bonus! Was really happy with our choice of accommodation. Property manager was friendly.

Very minor thing.,... The beds against the walls may need pulling out to vacuum along the walls and carpet by house keeping, where dust gets trapped, helpful for guest with dust allergies and for those who accidentally drop their phones etc then have to reach down and grab along with hand covered in dust. They are clean units however and I could not find anything else I didn't like. It was a fantastic affordable place to stay.

Good location, close to main street with shops, restaurants and historical attractions. Although close to the centre, the motel is at the quiet end. Also close to the Beechworth Gorge walk, a very pleasant walk with lovely views. Nice to have a microwave and coffee machine in the room.

There's no allocated parking, so you may not be able to park in front of your room. The plumbing was a bit noisy, and we had to run the water for a long time before it was hot ... felt wrong wasting water!

Great room, perfect location. It was a very cold overnight over the weekend and the room stayed at a very comfortable temperature the entire time. The shower was very clean with decent pressure and temperature. The small court yard was great to sit and enjoy the sunshine

As per most motels you can hear all comings and going’s and when rooms next to you use any water you can hear it in your room. But honestly I can’t really fault anything

Charming ambience and great location, good value for money. The kids loved the swimming pool and, compared to many more expensive options around the area, we were delighted with our find.

The shower is best for people under about 5'6" in height :) and unfortunately the person who designed it has it pointing directly at the sliding glass doors, which need to be open to reach in and turn the shower on. But that's the only niggle worth mentioning. Otherwise all very comfortable and enjoyable.

We arrived during unseasonal cold weather, thus the aircon and electric blankets were much appreciated. This lovely historic town is a good base to explore the High Country, and our excursions included Bright and Mt Buffalo (where it snowed).

The microwave did not work, but Brian kindly replaced it within a few minutes. A minor suggestion: a couple of plates are needed that are a bit larger than the tiny saucers provided.

-As it was a family suite, a few extra pillows would have been great. -The water pressure wasn't great in the shower but we understand this could be an issue outside of control of management, and not a big deal in the overall picture of a great weekend!

The property is located in the center of historic Beechworth town. If you have a short trip this is a to go option. Less than 5min walk to the centre and restaurants, plenty of parking (more outside in the street in front), heated blanket for cold winter, coffee machine for you to enjoy before hitting the road for your next trip. A lovely cat welcomes you at a reception too

Property was right in the middle of this historic victorian town. Still very quiet in the evening yet a few minutes level walk into the heart, Private free parking right outside each room. The rooms themselves were a reasonable size with good beds and all the facilities you may need. As a visitor from the UK I was extremely interested in the historic old buildings because there are more victorian buildings in the state of Victoria than in the whole of the UK! Visit the Beechworth Bakery for excellent pies.

Nothing really

The owner so accommodating , I was running late for check out and asked for an extra bit of time ? No stress , I didn’t feel pressured like some make you do . The other staff were so friendly . Locations fantastic and it’s clean and comfortable.

Not so much didn’t like But be nice to have Netflix or something else available not just TV wouid be one thing my granddaughter missed

Lovely rooms , the motel was clean and Best shower pressure I’ve ever had in a motel !

The parking would have been my only issue because there is no set car spots people staying in rooms with more then one car took up the spots and we had to park on the street one night. But that was a tiny inconvenience In a lovely stay
