Many thanks to Jim and Heidi for providing such a cozy and comfy place for long-journey travellers like us. Special gratitudes must be paid to Jim for his introduction in details on the historic stories of and delicious restaurants in this small town. On the very first evening of arrival, we tasted the best wine we have ever had throughout our 21-day holiday in Australia in a restaurant recommended by Jim. This B&B is located in the center of Beechworth, convenient in all aspects, just 150m away from the well-known Beechworth Bakery. Breakfast is wonderful, and service is perfect. Should we have chance to re-visit Beechworth, we will definitely stay again in Freeman on Ford.

We should have stayed two more nights.

Absolutely beautiful property which has been lovingly and meticulously renovated and decorated to period style, with mod cons cleverly integrated. Heidi is an exceptional hostess who goes the extra mile. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Location was perfect, with so much in walkable range. The rooms were lovely and the wonderful breakfasts in the fabulously appointed dining room were a highlight, as was the warm and cosy parlour, complete with port and chocolates to enjoy after returning from dinner. There was so much to do and visit that we didn’t get to enjoy the included afternoon tea - maybe next time 😊 It was a little bit of a lash out to stay, but Oh, SO worth it 💕

The B&B was situated right in the heart of Beechworth which was ideal for everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was great. The variety of choice on the menu was excellent and the host (Heidi) couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable.

There was nothing about our stay at Freeman On Ford that could have been improved, Heidi and Jim have thought of everything to make it the perfect B&B in one of the prettiest towns in Victoria.

Gorgeous historical building, furnished in keeping with the era plus beautifully maintained outside areas. Loved the linen and comfy beds. It is conveniently located in the CBD of Beechworth. Owners Heidi and Jim were very welcoming and provide the highest level of service. They gave us excellent information about the region and places to visit. Breakfast was is so delicious and generous.

Nothing not to like!

Heidi is a great host. She takes pains to look after her guests. As a mid 60's age, enjoying a late afternoon tea with the sun coming into the sun room was a very relaxing and pleasant way to zone out for a few moments, just enjoying the winter sun without any distractions.

Nothing not to like. It would be poor of me to nit pick and find fault; as we had the whole place to ourselves for most of our stay and our room was serviced while we were eating or away from the hotel. Heidi took pains to minimise any disruptions to our use of her facilities and we are old enough to truely appreciate this kind of attention to detail.

You immediately feel the sense of warmth and inviting, that continued throughout our stay at the Freeman on Ford Walking distance from Freedman On Ford onto the restaurants, cafe and shops. Heidi is a wealth of information about Beechworth and its surrounding towns. We felt spoiled on our stay there, by Heidi and Jim. Roaring fireplaces fabulous breakfasts, lots of information about the town. Beechworth is a picturesque, charming and breathless town that draws you in beyond their front entrance. The streets were covered in a blanket of impressive autumn coloured leaves.

We have stayed at a variety of B&B around the globe and Freeman on Ford rates among the best. The accommodation is exception and Heidi and Jim are amazing hosts. We have absolutely no hesitation in strongly recommending this B&B to anyone looking to visit beautiful Beechworth. We will certainly be back again!

Breakfast was perfect wth extra fruit that was not ordered. Breakfast room was very authentic Victorian. Covid distances and cleaning was still adhered to. Food was served hot and we got to know the owners Heidie and Jim very well. Yea and lovely cake was served daily on our own terrace overlooking the pool at no extra charge. My electric car was charged at no extra cost.

We had no negative thoughts .

A 10/10 rating just doesn’t do this accomodation justice. The silver suite room was absolutely beautiful and so spacious. The decor was stunning and the room was so clean. I was very sad to leave. I will definitely be extending the stay beyond two nights next time. The location is perfect with everything within walking distance. I barely used my car. Great parking and the owners are so helpful. Jim and Heidi are always around for a friendly chat and have the best tips for food and tourist spots. The homecooked breakfast is also a great start to the day with flexible menu options. If you are looking for a stress free, all inclusive mini holiday give Freeman on Ford a try - you will not regret it one bit.

Had an absolute wonderful experience in the hotel. I would highly recommend to all my friends it's definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed in the bed were extremely comfortable the food was very fresh and the owners of the Hotel art amazing

That I'll stay also short and we wish we could have stayed longer
