Room was large, spacious and the chrome cast worked. I thought the main challenge is i would want a similar room in a similar location next time and i don't know how easy it is to book with that request being accomodated. I very much enjoyed the gym facilities. Loved the chocolates left after room turn - a lovely touch.

The room furnishings were quite old and the rooms felt dark. The electrical ports had some power issues and the casing around the ports by the bed fell off one night.

Room was great, it was huge, well equipped with everything you could need and had a nice comfortable bed. Cleaners were excellent, room service was good too, butter chicken = amazing!

Pillows weren't great for sleeping (I'm fussy with pillows though) and I don't know why but they never once re-stocked the mini bar. I was there for one week and nothing was ever replaced. To be fair it saved me money but it was annoying at the time I wanted stuff. Location is also bit of a dead zone. South Melbourne is a short 500m walk away though and there's great bars and food there.

Loves the space and the pool! And loved the fact that we could have interconnecting rooms.

I wrote that the rooms would need to be interconnecting when I booked otherwise I would need to cancel. When I first arrived they said that the rooms were next to each other but not interconnecting, I started to panic but then a new room was found. Everything else was amazing the only thing I could fault is that my son who is Celiac could not have anything from the menu for room service etc due to shared fryers. That's being picky, but most places now have some way in which they can accommodate dietary requirements. Would definitely go back

The size of the room was good for in the city and 4 people, 2 kids and 2 adults. The view was amazing, we loved watching the sunset. The beds were decent but not the best we have slept on. We loved the pool - although at times it was soooo busy! Human soup.

Our room wasn't serviced which in a compact city room with only 2 coffee cups was not the idea of luxury I was looking for. I think that the room efficiency could be greatly improved with a few key updates to make your stay more enjoyable, for example connectivity to the TV for BYO movies would be amazing as well as somewhere to dry your bathers. Servicing the room is so important. When I'm away I don't want to make beds!

Fitout, furnishings, location

Reception wouldn't accept electronic payment without an additional $200 holding fee. Seriously?

Room was great and had view as requested. Complimentary champagne and chocolate was very nice touch as celebrating birthday. Card had wrong name on it which was a shame as couldnt give it my son who it was supposed to be for.

Pillows on bed were too soft, prefer firmer. The pool had lots of 'cheer leader' competitors kids, who were doing tricks etc and weren't stopped by staff. Took away abit from what is a beautiful pool area. Happy for the kids to have fun but sitting on sholders having play fights and then practising throws and lifts was a little bit over the top.

the stay itself was great. however, during my stay, I asked for the minibar to be emptied, which a nice worker came and helped with. after I checked out, the next morning I was charged for the full minibar cost as if I took it. I figured out and tried to approach the hotel in vein (through calls and emails) my colleagues who were still there went and talked to the front desk who admitted the fault and I was reimbursed after a few days. however, I did not even receive a reply to my email nor an apology note (call/email) at all.

The pool view was breathtaking

Home cleaning staff - I had asked a female lady to change used towels after the room was cleaned but she folded used towels & pertaining as newly replaced. I called reception & the brought us clean towels. We requested for two queen beds room for our 2 teenagers but on our arrival we only found 1 king bed. We’re not notified. After back & forth argument they apologised & made a sofa bed for our son. If we knew in advance we’d have cancelled & booked elsewhere.

Our kids loved the pool. In fact, we all loved the pool. And the hot tub and steam room were really nice to use too. On top of that, all of the staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Full marks for the staff. 11am check-out was a great bonus because we all got to have another swim in the morning!

Netflix in the room would be good. Only having the choice of the old freeview channels made it a bit limited. Perhaps I didn't figure it out because we were only there for 1 night, but if I could even Cast my own streaming service subscriptions to the TV in the room, that would be better.

The beds were amazing. Loved the couch in the room. Staff excellent. Love the location. Repeat customer and will return again. Really enjoy the Stay Vac Cay (I like in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne) and this is the only place I normally book.

The pools closing at 8pm for under 18's. My son is 17 and this is restrictive. Maybe for under 15's but not 16 - 17 year olds. Our room number 2137 wasn't cleaned / tidied on our second day. I had room 2139 for one night and 2137 for two nights.
