Close to public transportation and within walking distant of restaurants, shops and a mall. Lovely lobby and comfortable room. We even found a great little, quiet spot to play a family board game for a few hours.

The breakfast situation was overwhelming. You were encouraged to pre-book, but it was so full, that you could only book for really early in the morning. It was not set out very well and very crowded. I think they were remodeling something in the hotel, but that would have been nice to know before booking.

The very convenient location, a nice light clean and airy room. Tram Station right outside the hotel, Southern Cross Station a few 100 metres up the road. Located right on the river, very close to not only the travel hubs. But also a large selection of quality restaurants, serving a range of international cuisine. Also the hotel’s position, offers some lovely walks along the river bank, up to lots of Melbournes attractions. The hotel fitness centre offers a great range of facilities and the pool is a great way to cool off. We only had breakfast in the hotel. We found a great selection of fresh food etc. on offer. Being served by some lovely, helpful staff.

When we checked in, the receptionist referred to my wife in the 3rd party. Saying, put “her” name down there! As I was completing the registration form. Even though she was next to me and smiling, as she generally does. Although he was courteous to me. In context, it was not a comment I would expect in such circumstances. Disappointing, as we found all the other staff very polite, helpful and courteous. Even allowing for the ongoing renovations, the bar was clearly the poor relation of the hotel. Not the level of cleanliness as the rest of the hotel. So we only used it once during our stay.

Quick check in. Clean room. Comfortable bed but BYO pillow. Good choice at breakfast even if you don't like the quality. Nice outdoor swimming pool at good temperature.

Soft pillows. Room light switches are hard to locate (need to be labelled as to what they are for). Nothing except milk in the mini bar fridge, not even water. We were level 4 and the windows even that high were not sound proofed enough to keep outside sirens, casino flames shooting up etc from being heard. The coffee area at breakfast is crowded and not well set up for those just wanting a cup of tea. The rubbish bin for tea bags needs to be closer and the hot water taps moved to the other end so we're not all crowded together because of everyone waiting for coffee.

Difficult to access due to the building works - totally no fault of the hotel but trucks and cranes held us up outside and we had to wait around 10 minutes before we could access the driveway. Blockout curtains were the best, and the bed was super comfy - I slept way later than expected. We upgraded to a crown river view room - it was exciting watching the fire towers go off at night and made for some great photos. The hotel acknowledged our special occasion and were accommodating when I phoned to request a late check out as we were in a shopping frenzy at DFO :)

I chose this hotel because of the outdoor pool, knowing it was a hot weekend, but we hardly had time to enjoy it. There was a crowd at the pool and limited seating. Also the gate needs checking for compliance as it did not click shut.

Nice large bed, great shower and products available. Close to meal options. Room size is great. Coffee pod machine is great. Heating/cooling systems worked well. TV a great size.

Pillows too soft, bathroom too small, with glass door, so little privacy. Glass door was also dirty. Shower glass door difficult positioning, and toilet crammed in the space. Difficult to reach toilet paper toll. Could also do with another luggage stand for 2nd person. There is room in here for another one. Not enough product for 2 people unless room is serviced every day, which we did not want eg coffee pods and milk, teas and hot chocolate. Closet doors were a pain, and clunky to open. A big problem with noise coming from bathroom ceiling ventilation system. Went on intermittently most nights and kept us awake.

The food choice was very, very limited in both the restaurants, cafes and room service which made ordering food with kids very difficult. The hotel was perfect, everyone was very polite and very welcoming we came down for my daughters 14th birthday and everyone wished her a happy birthday, the bed was super comfortable and spaciouse, Breakfast was delicious and had alot to choose from, unfortunaly my daughter got very sick due to an illness she has and we had to call an ambulance the following morning, the staff were very accommidating and helpful in getting us the help we needed and in making sure my daughter was safe and comfortable until they arrived this was done with out drawing attention to us and with out a fuss it was done very professionally.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza during the Taylor Swift concert weekend so prices were very high (understandably) but the hotel was fantastic. They even had a Taylor Swift Selfie area set up to take photos (such a great idea) and it was SUCH a good location to the MCG. Right near the trams. Highly recommend. Staff were lovely, room was clean and big. We stayed in a King Room and it was so nice to have some space every day and a gorgeous view of the Yarra River. Breakfast was good. Lots of options.

Walking distance to a lot of prime locations, was clean and the staff were so lovely and helpful.. place was gorgeous inside.

Outside of the property near the steps was very dirty and had a very foul smell.. enterance from the street was also very hard to find. We also missed out on using the pool as by the time we got back to the hotel from our event it was closed. Would be good to leave it open till midnight.

The hotel is in a great location, good parking option if you take your car, at a reasonable cost. The facilities are lovely, modern and very clean. Definitely more impressive than the services and price of Crown Metropol or Crown Towers were I would usually stay.

We booked via booking.com website, which I always use. My sister and I were travelling together and so had booked a double room with two doubles. When we arrived the receptionist told me I'd have to pay to "upgrade" my room to have the bedding configuration we requested. When I showed her my booking.com details she claimed she'd "never seen that before", and she would upgrade our room for free "this time". The construction work being done all around the hotel is very disruptive, difficult to access the front entry from the recommended car parks due to road closures and machinery.
